CPR backrest release Pull the red CPR handle located on either side of the bed to quickly lower the backrest. Side rails - Lowering Hold the side rail. Pull blue operating knob or blue release lever and lower the side rail. Side rails - Raising Hold the side rail. Pull the side rail up until it locks in the raised position. Make sure the side rail is securely locked when in raised position.
