1. Turn the Power Switch Off at the rear of the Printer. The images shown in this manual are of SLP-DX420 which has the same replacement steps as TPH. 2. Pull the cover levers on both sides to open the cover. 3. Use your finger or tweezers to push the Hook TPH R in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow to remove the TPH. Take care to avoid injury by the parts around the area. 4. Remove the TPH Connector and Wire Connector on the back of TPH. Take care to avoid injury as the connectors are tightly attached. 5. Assemble the TPH Connector and Wire Connector of a new TPH while ensuring they match direction. Make sure that the connector is inserted all the way in. If the connector is placed incorrectly, it may be damaged. Avoid contact with the TPH Heating Line as it can damage the TPH. 6-1. Place the left hook of the TPH on the hole and adjust it as shown in the image. Avoid contact with the TPH Heating Line as it can damage the TPH. 6-2. Place the 2 springs of the back against the boss and push the Cover TPH to attach the right hook to the HOOK TPH R. If the hook and TPH R cannot be assembled correctly, check the attachment of the boss and springs. Take care to avoid injury by the parts around the area. Avoid contact with the TPH Heating Line as it can damage the TPH. * Use your fingers or tweezers to pull the Hook TPH R in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow if it is too hard to assemble the hook. Take care to avoid injury by the parts around the area. 7. Push the COVER-TPH 2-3 times to make sure it is mounted correctly. Check the spring's elasticity. Avoid contact with the TPH Heating Line as it can damage the TPH. 8. Load the media and close the cover. 9. Turn on the power switch on the back of printer and perform Self-test to check the printing quality. Refer to the User Manual for how to load media and perform Self-test. 1. Turn the Power Switch Off at the rear of the Printer. 2. Open the Printer. And Insert tweezers (recommended) into the Right hole (yellow dotted line) of the Cover STD, then press it inward (yellow arrow) to disassemble it. You can also remove it by pressing the left side in the same manner. 3. Insert the Peeler Wire into the Wire Hole. 4. With the Wire inserted, fit the right Boss of the Peeler to the Boss Hole as shown below. Also, fit the left one to the Boss Hole. 5. SLP-DX22x: After removing the 4 screws (Yellow circles) using a screwdriver and disassemble the Cover Roller L&R(Red squares). SLP-TX22x: Cover Roller L&R can be removed without tools. Assemble the Peeler Bar by aligning the direction to the square hole below(Red Circles). Then, reassemble the removed Cover Roller L&R. Be careful to install the Peeler Bar correctly. Otherwise, the Peeler will not work properly. 6. Turn the Switch On as shown below. Then, engage the Peeler Levers with the sockets (yellow circles) to close so that they make a clicking sound. If the Levers are not engaged correctly, try again after repeating steps 3 and 4. 7. Place the bottom of the Printer face the front. SLP-DX22x: Disassemble the Cover DIP by pressing the Hook (Yellow circle) inward. SLP-TX22x: After removing one screw (Yellow square) using a screwdriver, then disassemble the Cover DIP. Arrange the Peeler Wire so that it looks like the picture below. Be careful to avoid tangling with other Wires when shaping. 8. Insert the Peeler Wire to the Peeler Connector (yellow square) in the correct direction. 9. Reassemble the Cover Dip that was removed in step 7. Then, connect the power supply and turn the power on to check if the Peeler Sensor LED is green when turned on. See the User Manual for how to supply paper. You can also remove it by pressing the left side in the same manner. 3. Insert the Auto Cutter Wire into the Wire Hole. 4. Engage the Hooks (red circles) with the square-shaped sockets (yellow squares) in the order from top to bottom. Be careful that the Wire does not get stuck. 5. Place the bottom of the Printer face the front. SLP-DX22x: Disassemble the Cover DIP by pressing the Hook (Yellow circle) inward. SLP-TX22x: After removing one screw (Yellow square) using a screwdriver, then disassemble the Cover DIP. Arrange the Auto Cutter Wire so that it looks like the picture below. Be careful to avoid tangling with other Wires when shaping. 6. Insert the Auto Cutter Wire into the Auto Cutter Connector (red square) in the correct direction. 7. Reassemble the Cover DIP that was removed in step 5. 8. In order to operate the Auto Cutter, the settings must be changed through the utility. Access the Bixolon webpage (www.bixolon.com) and download the Unified Label Utility. Connect the communication cable (USB) and Turn the Printer power On. Then, change the settings in the following order. You can also remove it by pressing the left side in the same manner. 3. Insert the Auto Cutter Wire into the Wire Hole. 4. Engage the Hooks (red circles) with the square-shaped sockets (yellow squares) in the order from top to bottom. Be careful that the Wire does not get stuck. 5. Reassemble the Cover Roller L&R that was removed in step 2. 6. Place the bottom of the Printer face the front. Press the Hooks (red circles) toward the inner side to remove the Cover DIP. Then, shape the Auto Cutter Wire as shown below. Be careful to avoid tangling with other wires when shaping. For the model SLP-DX42x / TX42x, install the EMI Core into the Auto Cutter Wire As shown below. 7. Insert the Auto Cutter Wire into the Auto Cutter Connector (red square) in the correct direction. 8. Reassemble the Cover DIP that was removed in step 6. 9. In order to operate the Auto Cutter, the settings must be changed through the utility. 1. Turn the Power Switch Off at the rear of the Printer. 2. As shown below, press the right side of the Cover STD in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow to remove it You can also remove it by pressing the left side in the same manner. 3. Insert the Peeler Wire into the Wire Hole. 4. With the Wire inserted, fit the right Boss of the Peeler to the Boss Hole as shown below. Also, fit the left one to the Boss Hole. 5. Remove the Cover Roller L&R and fit the Peeler Bars to the square-shaped sockets (red circles) by matching each Bar to the corresponding side. Then, reinstall the removed Cover Roller L&R. Be careful to install the Peeler Bar correctly. Otherwise, the Peeler will not work properly. 6. Turn the Switch On as shown below. Then, engage the Peeler Levers with the sockets (yellow circles) to close so that they make a clicking sound. If the Levers are not engaged correctly, try again after repeating steps 2 and 3. 7. Make the bottom of the Printer face the front. Press the Hooks (red circles) toward the inner direction to remove the Cover Dip and shape the Peeler Wire as shown below. Be careful to avoid tangling with other Wires when shaping. 8. Insert the Peeler Wire to the Peeler Connector (yellow square) in the correct direction. 9. Reinstall the Cover Dip that was removed in step 7. Then, connect the power supply and turn the power on to check if the Peeler Sensor LED is green when turned on.
