Wireless-N USB Adapter with Upgradable Antennas HWUN1 Vista Start Here (See the Reverse Side for Windows XP Installation) Important: Do not connect the USB adapter until you install the driver from the CD and are instructed to do so. Otherwise, the USB adapter may not operate correctly. 1. Insert the Setup CD and a menu page will automatically appear on your screen. Select “Driver & Utility Setup”. 2. Select “Install” 3. Please wait for the installation process to complete. 4. After the installation is complete, exit the wizard by clicking on the Finish button. 5. Now, plug in your HWUN1 adapter. Windows Vista should automatically begin detecting for updated drivers. Once Vista states it has completed installing drivers, move on to Step 6. 6. After installing all drivers and utilities, right click on the Start menu and select “Connect To”. 7. Double click on the desired network or select and press Connect. Please wait as it connects. 8. If prompted, you must enter a security key or passphrase to enter the network. This passphrase is defined by your current wireless network settings. 9. Select your connection preferences once connected and close the utility window when finished. The utility setup is complete and you may now begin enjoying your wireless network! Installation is Complete! Refer to the Manual for Advanced Configuration If you are using a desktop, please place the Adapter in an open space where it can easily receive a wireless signal. If you are using a notebook PC, a laptop mount is included.
