1 TEST PROGRAM FOR DISHWASHER MODEL DW22I CODES CONTROLS 01 Filling 02 Draining 03 Heating 04 NTC (Thermistor) 05 Flow-meter 06 Turbidimeter 07 Leakage ⇒ IMPORTANT INFORMATION • The change from one step to the next is performed by pressing the START button. It is therefore possible to skip one or more steps (except those where level control is necessary). • It is possible to disconnect the appliance during test, in order to check the faulty circuit, and then to connect it again and continue the test. • To cancel the test, the START button must be kept pressed down for more than 2 seconds. ♦ ACCESS TO TEST PROGRAM Press START 5 times within 5 seconds. All segments of display are lit. Press START again, all LED’s light up alternately. The left 2 digits indicate ‘01’. The right 2 digits indicate ‘02’. ♦ CHECK OF BUTTONS Press START button. The left 2 digits indicate ‘02’. Pressing each button makes the related LED come on or go off. DELAYED END button lights TIME LED momentarily. END TIME LED does not illuminate. Note. Pressing the START Button causes test to advance to next step. ♦ CHECK OF THERMISTOR AND TURBIDIMETER Press START button. The left 2 digits indicate ‘03’. After 3 seconds if a fault exists either fault code will be displayed in the right 3 digits. ‘d04’ Thermistor fault – (valve out of range) ‘d06’ Turbidimeter fault (valve out of range) Note. If no faults, END TIME and TIME LED’s will illuminate. ♦ CHECK OF COMPONENTS Press START button. The left 2 digits indicate ‘04’. Note. If there is no communication between display board and power board, then all LED’s go off and it is impossible to continue. Check the link between the two boards. 2 ♦ CHECK DRAIN PUMP AND FAN & DRYING VALVE (WAX BLOCK) NO 1 The QUICK, END TIME and TIME LED’s come on alternately. If the absence of low level is detected after 30 seconds, the following fault code will be displayed over the right 3 digits. ‘d02’ Draining fault (draining duration until low level greater than 30 seconds) Note. It is impossible to continue if machine remains at full level. ♦ CHECK OF FILLING AND OF EV1 Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘05’. QUICK LED flashes as long as the level is low. As soon as L1 is attained, the LED becomes solid and the test program advances automatically to the next step. At this very instant, listen carefully for the click of the pressure switch. It is possible to open the door and check the water level in the tank, then close the door to continue test. If level L1 is not attained after 6 minutes, the following code will be displayed in the right 3 digits. ‘d01’ Filling fault (L1 not attained after 6 minutes) Note. It is impossible to continue if machine remains empty. ♦ CHECK OF FLOWMETER FILLING The left 2 digits should already be displaying ‘06’. END TIME LED comes on flashing. Once the filling is complete, END TIME LED will become solid. It is possible to open the door and check the water level in the tank, then close the door to continue test. If value read is abnormal, then the flow meter filling fault code is displayed as below in the right 3 digits. ‘d05’ Flow meter fault Note. It is necessary to wait until filling is complete before advancing to the next step. ♦ CHECK OF CYCLING PUMP AND MOTORISED FLAP VALVE Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘07’. QUICK and END TIME LED’s come on alternately and the valve operates in an accelerated alternation. Alternation will be approximately 20 seconds up and 20 seconds down. Transparent door Part No. 31x5364 can be used to view. Note. If the valve positioning contact is defective, then the valve motor does not stop and alternations are more rapid. ♦ CHECK OF HEATING (WITH CYCLING) Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘08’ During heating the END TIME LED is flashing. As soon as the board detects a rise by 5°c, the heating stops and the END TIME LED comes on solid. If after 5 minutes heating has not risen 5°c the below fault code will be displayed in the right 3 digits. ‘d03’ Heating fault (Temperature rise less than 5°c after 5 minutes) 3 ♦ CHECK OF REGENERATION VALVE (WITHOUT CYCLING) Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘09’ QUICK and TIME LED’s come on alternately. Check the water drains from the regeneration containers in the distributor. ♦ CHECK OF RINSING PRODUCT THRERMO-ACTIVATOR (WAX BLOCK) (WITHOUT CYCLING) Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘10’. END TIME and TIME LED’s come on alternately. After a few moments check the release of rinse aid on the inner door (wipe it off and close the door to continue test). ♦ CHECK OF DRAIN PUMP AND DRYING THERMO-ACTIVATOR (WAX BLOCK) NO. 2 Press START button, the left 2 digits indicate ‘11’. There will be 10 seconds of cycling to wash away rinse aid. TIME LED is flashing, followed by supply to drain pump and thermo-activator No 2. Disassemble the vent cover on the inner door and confirm vent is 100% open. The TIME LED flashes during draining and comes on solid as soon as the low level is attained. If low level is not attained within 30 seconds, the below fault code will be displayed in the right 3 digits. ‘d02’ Draining fault (Draining duration until low level greater than 30 seconds). Note. Advance to next step (‘12’) is automatically performed, but it is impossible to advance if the machine remains at high level. ♦ EXIT FROM TEST PROGRAM The 2 left digits indicate ‘12’. At this stage, you can disconnect power and dishwasher will exit test or you can press the START button again and dishwasher will exit test program. ♦ DETECTION OF LEAK OR OVERFLOW Detected throughout test program by the activation of contacts 21-23 on pressure switch or float switch contacts. The fault code below is displayed over the right 3 digits. ‘d07’ Leak fault (Initiation of anti-leak device)
