INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Installation of the surround assembly is required prior to installing the face kit (sold separately). Step 1. Remove the speed nuts from the parts bag and install (with the flat surface forward) on the six holes in the surround brackets, three on each side of the insert (See A in Figure 2). A flat bladed screwdriver may help in installing the nuts. Step 2. Install all surround panels and trim with the insert positioned in the fireplace but a few inches in front of its final location. Step 3. If the insert face is to be installed on the insert, the sight obstruc- tor that comes with the face must be installed prior to installing the surround panels. With the curved edge down and the bent top edge positioned toward the insert, slide the tabs at the ends of the obstructor in the slots on the surround brackets (see C in Figure 2). Fingerprints will leave permanent blemishes if left on plated surface when lit. when installation is complete, the trim should be gently cleaned with a soft cloth and either alcohol or a household glass cleaner. Do not overtighten nuts, overtightening can create visible dimples on the plated surface. INStALLAtION INStRUCtIONS Step 1. Remove the trim pieces and hardware from its packaging and ensure that all pieces are present before beginning installation. Take care not to scratch finished surfaces. Step 2. Facing the stove pull open the left side door. Step 3. Unlatch the front door and swing it open (See Figure 1). Instruction Sheet Installation Instructions Installation of the surround assembly is required prior to installing the Traditional Face Kit. Install the surround assembly per instructions in the installation and operation manual provided with the fireplace insert. Step 1. Install the face onto the surround brackets as shown in Figure 2. Each side of the face has a bracket with two (2) hooks. Place the face on the surround hanging brackets as seen in Figure 2 by placing the hooks on position C. IMPORTANT: If you have a gold or nickel face, be sure and clean the face with a soft cloth and household glass cleaner prior to burning the insert. This outdoor unit must be installed with a matching indoor unit and line set as outlined in the Lennox XP f 6 Engineering Handbook.
