Metra recommends MECP certified technicians INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PART 99-5824CH TRANSIT CONNECT 2010-UP 99-5824CH DASH DISASSEMBLY Insert Metra’s 86-9001 into the slots in the factory head unit and pull the unit out. (Fig. A) Remove (2) 7 MM screws from sub dash. (Fig. B) Disconnect the wiring. 1 2 3 A B 1 Continue to Kit Assembly.............. 2 99-5824CH KIT ASSEMBLY TRANSIT CONNECT 2010-UP DIN HEAD UNIT PROVISION Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation. Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. (Fig. A) Snap the pocket into the bottom opening of the radio housing. (Fig. B) Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage and secure. (Fig. C) Mount the radio housing assembly into the sub dash using the supplied #8 Phillips screws then clip the radio housing trim panel onto the radio housing. 1 2 3 4 5 A B C
