INSTALLING AND SETTING UP First you have to create a new connection for your Nokia phone. Go to your Macintosh system drive and then to the Internet folder. In the Internet folder choose Internet Setup Assistant and fill in all the necessary fields according to the documentation you received from your Internet Service Provider. Installing and setting up First you have to create a new connection for your Nokia phone. Choose the My computer icon � � � � Dial-up networking � � � � Make a new connection. Enter a name for the connection and choose the appropriate modem, click Next> and enter the correct number which you have obtained from your provider; also choose the correct area and country codes (Figure 2). Choose Next> to continue.

Connect your Nokia Phone via infrared to your computer and start Carbon Copy 5.0 2. Now go to Options – Communications and select the appropriate modem as one of your connection types, so that you are able to receive data calls from another computer using Carbon Copy (Figure 1). Double-click on Create New Connection, click to select the connection type that you will be using and after that click on Next (Figure 2).

Setting up You must use the correct COM port in Lotus Notes. This COM port can be found as follows: Control Panel – Infrared (Figure 1). In the case shown, COM4 is correct. Figure 1. Before using Nokia products you will need to have a script file copied to the same location in which other *.mdm files are located (for example c:\Program files\Notes\data\modems). Nokia script files can be downloaded from our support web pages which can be found at the address http://www.forum.nokia.com. Once the files have been copied to the correct location, Lotus Notes must be configured from File – Tools – User Preferences… In User Preferences check from Communication Ports that the COM port your modem uses is enabled. (Figure 2).

Installing and setting up This guide assumes that you have already installed your Nokia Phone on your computer. Microsoft Windows 95 fax support can be installed with the Windows 95 mail application (exchange or messaging - hereafter called mail in this document). 1. Ensure that you have fax and mail components installed on your computer. This can be done by opening the Control Panel and clicking ‘Add/Remove Programs’.
