Designed in the same style as Olympus’ most popular film cameras, the 1.3 megapixel D-450 ZOOM sets the new gold standard in affordable filmless digital photography. At its heart, is an all-glass aspherical lens system with auto focus, exposure and white balance, as well as 2 quick focus settings at 8 feet and infinity. The 3x Olympus zoom lens with electronic TTL viewing provides wide, normal and portrait length telephoto, so you’ll get sharp, well-exposed shots without having to move to get a good composition. Its telephoto length is up to105 mm, and to bring subjects even closer, you can digitally double the focal length inside the camera at any zoom setting. Adding to the versatility is a macro mode which lets you shoot a subject from just 4 inches away. And a streamlined chassis makes it easy to carry and use, while a stream- lined price makes it easy to afford. The D-450 ZOOM takes the worry out of getting close with its macro mode setting. 35mm (full wide) 105mm (full telephoto) 210mm (full telephoto + 2x digital/telephoto) Horizontally or vertically, you can take multiple shots that get stitched. Thanks to its rapid refresh rate, it’s easy to click off a series of shots as quickly as you can compose and shoot. The ultimate shooting machine. From the first moment you take this little number out for a spin, you’ll know you’re holding one serious camera. For instance, instead of merely masking a single film exposure the way some cameras do, the D-450 ZOOM’s true panorama mode lets you seamlessly stitch multiple shots together to create awe-inspiring super-wide and super-high views. Of course, having the fastest refresh rate of any camera in its class doesn’t hurt either, so you can fire off shots one right after another or automatically snap off a series of up to 10 shots in a row. Another important distinction of the D-450 ZOOM is its 114,000 pixel LCD, which gives you a glare-free view of your images for preview or playback regardless of the angle you’re viewing them from. Whether you’re standing off to the side, or holding the camera over your head, you’re guaranteed to always have a clear image of your subject. You’ll always have a clear view no matter how you look at the Olympus easy viewing LCD. They’ll call you a photographic magician. With just the right mix of automatic and manual features up its sleeve, the D-450 ZOOM gives you the power to do some pretty amazing stuff. ISO is auto or selectable at 160, 320, and 640 — a must for shooting in low light. You can adjust exposure plus or minus two steps in half-step increments. Or tweak the white balance and compensate for fluorescent or incandescent lighting and sunny or overcast conditions. There’s also a choice of automatic flash in low light and back-lit conditions, “red-eye” reduction, fill flash or flash off selections with the intelligent flash system to create the perfect illumination. The Slow sync feature enables you to achieve special effects with or without red-eye reduction. A white balance setting takes that annoying green tint out of fluorescent-lit interior shots. Set the white balance for tungsten to take the yellow out of incandescent lighting. pdf D-450 5/19/00 9:54 AM Page 7
