IAD Model 6512-A1 Quick Installation Document Number 6512-A2-GL71-10 August 1999 Quick Installation for One Extra Phone Line If you are adding two extra phone lines, see the other side of this page. If you are adding one extra phone line, follow these steps:
Go to the room where you want your new phone line. Plug the phone cord that came with the SuperLine IAD into the wall jack. Plug the other end of the phone cord into the LINE jack on the back of the SuperLine IAD.  Plug a phone into the PHONE 1-2 jack.  Plug the power supply into the POWER jack and an ac outlet. See the Installation Instructions for more information. Phone Filters  Connect a phone filter to all the phones and other devices (such as fax machines, answering machines, alarm systems, or modems) that are attached to the same line as the SuperLine IAD. Decide what wall jack you will use for your new phone lines. Plug a phone filter into every other jack where you have existing phones and other devices attached to the same phone line that the SuperLine IAD will be. (Do not connect a filter to any device you plug into the SuperLine IAD.) Devices may include wall phones, cordless phones, answering machines, fax machines, modems, caller ID display devices, security alarm systems, TV-based Internet access devices, and direct broadcast satellite receivers. Contact your service provider if you need more filters. Phone 1/2 Modem LINE PHONE 99-16510d  Connect a phone or other device (such as the line jack of a modem) into the PHONE 1/2 jack. 99-16510b Wall Jack Line  Go to the room where you want your new phone lines. Plug the phone cord that came with the SuperLine IAD into the wall jack. Plug the other end of the phone cord into the LINE jack on the back of the SuperLine IAD. 99-165510e Phone 2 Fax  If you have service for two extra lines, connect a phone or other device (such as the line jack of a fax machine) into the PHONE 2 jack. 99-16510c Base Phone Existing Phone  Plug your existing phone into the BASE PHONE jack. Power 99-165510f  Plug the power transformer into the POWER jack and an ac outlet.
