Edgebore-Drill a 24mm hole into the edge of the door at the desired height. Crossbore-Drill hole(s) into the face of the door at a backset of 60mm to the diameter(s) etc specified on the chosen handles installation instructions. 3. Drill a 3mm pilot hole into the jamb at the position marked by the pointed Strikemarker tool. Use the pilot hole as a guide to drill a 24mm hole into the jamb to a depth of approx. 20mm. 2. Insert the Strikemarker tool (FIG.B) into the edgebore hole (2A). Close door tightly then press the pointed Strikemarker tool into the jamb to mark a mounting position for the strikeplate. 5. Use the 3mm pilot holes in door as a guide to drill 2 x 24mm overlapping holes (above and below the edgebore 24mm hole) to a depth of approx. 5mm. Repeat this step on the jamb to create 2 x overlapping 24mm holes. 6. Use a blade or pencil to mark vertical lines down the sides of the 3x overlapping 24mm holes on door and jamb (6a). Use a Chisel to remove timber from the sides of the overlapping 24mm holes where marked. 8x8mm 8x8mm 4. Insert the plastic Strikebox/drilling template into the edgebore hole and use as a guide to drill 2x 3mm pilot holes above and below edgebore hole. Insert strikebox/drilling template into the 24mm hole created in jamb (3a) and drill 2 x 3mm pilot holes above and below 24mm hole. o o o o o o o o o o o o o
