BMW ALPINA ROADSTER V8 BMW ALPINA ROADSTER V8 Das Design des BMW Z8 ist konzeptionell eine Verbeugung vor einem der schönsten jemals gebauten Autos: dem BMW 507 von 1956. Roadster-typische Proportionen prägen seine Erscheinung: lange Motorhaube, kurze Überhänge, ausgewo- gene Rundungen und ein kräftiges Heck. Der Z8 stellt ein zukunftsweisendes technisches Meisterwerk dar: zeitloses, klas- sisches Design, atemberaubende Fahrwerte und ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit zeichnen ihn aus. Basierend auf dem BMW Z8 hat der Kleinserienhersteller ALPINA, Hersteller exclusiver Automobile, ein noch luxuriöseres Fahrzeug kreiert. Äußerlich unverändert, jetzt allerdings mit Automatikgetriebe und 20“ Rädern kommt er noch agiler daher. Dank Neuabstimmung von Federn und Dämpfern absor- biert der Sportwagen Fahrbahnunebenheiten spürbar besser als das Münchener Ausgangsprodukt. Die qualitative Aufwertung zeigt sich auch im Inneren sofort dank der fein ver- arbeiteten Lederkombination. Statt des Standard M5-Motors kommt, passend abgestimmt auf das Fünfstufen-Automatik- getriebe von ZF, das 4,8-Liter-V8-Aggregat von ALPINA zum Einsatz, der die edle ALPINA Version des Z8 von 0-100 km/h in nur 5,3 Sekunden beschleunigt. Der Wagen leistet zudem stol- ze 381 PS Leistung und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 260 Stundenkilometern. Zudem ist der BMW ALPINA ROADSTER V8 noch seltener als der BMW Z8: nur 555 Exemplare sind von dem luxuriösen, aber sehr sportlichen Ausnahmefahrzeug gefertigt worden. Die 450 Exemplare der von Sommer 2002 bis Oktober 2003 produzier- ten, limitierten Sonderserie bescherten ALPINA sofort einen überraschend guten und schnellen Erfolg auf dem US-Markt, den ALPINA mit diesem exklusiven Roadster erstmalig beliefert. Die verbliebenen 105 Fahrzeuge für Europa und Japan ließen die ALPINA Variante zusätzlich zu einem begehrten Sammlerobjekt werden. The design of the BMW Z8 is conceived as a tribute to one of the most beautiful cars ever built: the BMW 507 from 1956. Its appearance is marked by typical roadster proportions: long bonnet, short overhangs, balanced curves and a strong rear. The Z8 is a technical masterpiece that is looking to the future. It is characterised by timeless, classical design, breathtaking per- formance and the highest safety standards. Based on the BMW Z8, ALPINA the maker of limited editions of exclusive cars has created an even more luxurious vehicle. Externally unchanged, it is endowed with even more agility by an automatic gearbox and 20” wheels. Thanks to rebalanced springs and shock absorbers the sports car absorbs irregularities in the road surface much better than the original product from Munich. Qualitative value is added to the interior by the fine workmanship of the leather combination. Instead of the stan- dard M5 engine, it uses the ALPINA 4.8 litre V8 unit that is more suited to the ZF five speed automatic gearbox and accelerates the aristocratic ALPINA Z8 version from 0 –100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. In addition this car develops a proud 381 bhp and rea- ches a top speed of 260 km/h. Furthermore, the BMW ALPINA ROADSTER V8 is even rarer than the BMW Z8; only 555 examples have been made of this exceptional de luxe, but very sporty vehicle. The 450 examples in the special limited edition produced between the summer of 2002 and October 2003 immediately gave ALPINA a surprisingly quick success on the US market that ALPINA had entered for the first time with this exclusive roadster.
