Insert Batteries In Your Hearing Aids • Open the battery compartment • Insert a new battery • “+” side facing up (flat side) • Make sure the battery “+” and compartment “+” match 2. Turn Your Hearing Aids On • Close the battery door • Your hearing aids may turn on immediately or your Hearing Professional may have programmed a 6,12, or 18 second start-up delay No Delay 6 Second 12 Second 18 Second 3. Insert Your Hearing Aids A: Hold the tube close to the ear piece. - Carefully push the ear piece into the ear canal. - Twist it slightly until it sits well. - Open and close your mouth to avoid accumulation of air in the ear canal. - Lift the hearing instrument and slide it over the top of your ear. Consult your Hearing Care Professional if you have further problems. Troubleshooting Problem & Possible Solutions Sound is weak: Hearing aid does not work: Hearing aid emits whistling sounds: Sound is distorted: Hearing instrument emits spontaneous signal tones: Increase the volume Replace the empty battery Clean or exchange the ear piece Turn the hearing aid on Gently close the battery compartment completely Replace the empty battery Make sure the battery is inserted correctly Power-on-delay is active. Wait several seconds and check again Reinsert the ear piece until it fits securely Decrease the volume Clean or exchange the ear piece Decrease the volume Replace the empty battery Clean or exchange the ear piece Replace the empty battery 13
