When using LA-EA3 (supplied) or LA-EA1 (sold separately) About focus Auto focus does not operate during movie recording. In recording standby or photo mode with an SAM/SSM lens attached and the AF/MF switch lever on the lens set to AF, single AF can be performed by pressing PHOTO lightly. About iris operation The iris does not adjust automatically in movie mode. Adjust the iris manually. When using LA-EA2 (sold separately) About focus You can switch between auto focus and manual focus modes by the AF/MF switch lever on the lens. If the lens does not have an AF/MF switch lever, switching can be performed by the FOCUS button on the camcorder. About iris operation The iris does not adjust automatically in movie mode. The aperture value is set to F3.5 when you record movies with auto focus. When you are using a lens with a maximum aperture setting of F3.5 or less, aperture is set to maximum. To set your own aperture value, select manual focusing. When you shoot using the LA-EA1 (sold separately) or LA-EA2 (sold separately), the camcorder shoots in APS-C size. Check the dedicated support web site on compatible lenses, since some lenses do not support functions for auto focus or iris adjustment.
