size of the cushion.

•
Close zipper. Make sure to not damage the
cushion.
•
Remove protective backing tape from self-
adhesive Velcro strips attached to the
cushion cover.
•
Place cushion by pressing firmly.
•
Sit on the cushion for a few minutes, to allow
the air content in the cushion to adapt to
your body shape and weight.
•
If necessary, adjust footrest(s).
Checking for “bottoming out”:
Warning! Your tailbone and pelvic bones should
not touch the bottom of the cushion. Checking
for “bottoming out” should be done during first
use installation and after that on a regular basis
(at least once a month).
•
Check for bottoming out, after sitting on the
cushion for approximately 5 minutes.
•
While leaning forward, let your therapist or
technical advisor slide a hand between your
buttocks and the Vicair cushion.
•
Ask your therapist or technical advisor to
check if your lowest bony prominences are
supported by at least 2,5 cm / 1” of
SmartCells™. This prevents them from
touching the wheelchair seat.
•
Do not use the cushion if bottoming out
occurs. In most cases, using a different
cushion model or cushion size will solve the
problem.
USE
Warning! Do not use as a shower or bath
