Before working on the appliance/heat- ing system, isolate it from the power supply (e.g. by removing a separate mains fuse or by means of a mains iso- lator) and safeguard against unauthor- ised reconnection. When using gas as fuel, also close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorised reopening. Repairing components that fulfil a safety function can compromise the safe operation of the system. For replacements, use only original spare parts supplied or approved by Viessmann. Close the gas shut-off valve. 2. Disconnect the power supply and safeguard against unauthorised reconnection. 3. ■Vitodens 200, type WB2, Condu- therm CE, type JCE110, JCE240, JCE320, Condutherm CEW, type JCE245: Unlock the catch behind the con- trol unit flap. Remove the front panel. ■Vitodens 300, type WB3A: Undo the locking screws on the underside. Remove the front panel. ■Vitodens 222, type WS2, Vitodens 333, type WS3A: Remove the top front panel. Unscrew the locking screw. Remove the bottom front panel. 4. Unlock and remove the cover hood or burner hood. Loosen 2 screws and remove gas restrictor holder A from gas train B. 02. Press gas restrictor C sideways out of gas restrictor holder A. 03. Insert new O-ring D into the groove in new gas restrictor C. Danger Escaping gas leads to a risk of explosion. Check the position of the O- ring. 04. Insert new gas restrictor C for the existing gas type into gas restrictor holder A (click into place). See the following table for marking E on the gas restrictors. 05. Insert new O-ring F on the cam on gas restrictor holder A. Danger Escaping gas leads to a risk of explosion. Check the position of the O- ring. Replacing the gas restrictor (cont.) 5862017 4 06. Insert gas restrictor holder A into gas train B and secure with screws. Torque: 2.3 Nm 07. Take the label for the gas type from the type designation provided. Affix the label over the existing label G on gas restrictor holder A. 08. Start the boiler and check for leaks. Installation and service instructions Danger Escaping gas leads to a risk of explosion. Check gas equipment for leaks. 09. Affix label "Set for ..." over the "Gas type" label (next to the type plate). 10. Reassemble the boiler. The natural gas E version can be converted to natural gas LL using a conver- sion kit. The LPG P version can be converted to natural gas E or LL using a conversion kit. Conversion for other target countries The Vitodens 300 should generally only be delivered to those countries speci- fied on the type plate. For deliveries to alternative countries, an approved con- tractor must arrange, on his own initiative, for an individual approval in accordance with the law of the land. Target group These service instructions are exclu- sively designed for qualified person- nel. Work on gas equipment must only be carried out by a registered gas fitter. Only approved contractors may mod- ify this equipment for countries other than those designated on the type plate. That contractor will then arrange for the relevant approval in that country. Electrical work must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The system must be commissioned by the system installer or a qualified per- son authorised by the installer. Regulations Observe the following during service work: & all legal instructions regarding the prevention of accidents, & the TRGI, TRF and special regula- tions, e.g. those of the BDH, & all legal instructions regarding environmental protection, & the Code of Practice by relevant trade associations and all local reg- ulations. Never switch electrical lights or equipment. & Open windows and doors. & Close the gas shut-off valve. & Remove all personnel from the danger zone. & Observe the safety regula- tions of your local gas sup- plier which can be found on the gas meter. & Notify your heating contrac- tor from outside the building. Repair work It is not permitted to carry out repairs on parts that fulfil a safety function. Use only original Viessmann spare parts, or equivalent parts that have been approved by Viessmann. Service work on the heating system & Isolate the system from mains sup- ply, e.g. by removing a separate fuse or by means of a mains electri- cal isolator, and check that it is no longer 'live'. & Safeguard the system against unauthorised reconnection. & When using gas as fuel, also close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorised reopening. Ancillary components, spare and wearing parts ! Important information Components which are not tested with the heating system, the installation of non- approved spare parts and unauthorised conversion may lead to damage to the heating system, which may affect their function and limit our warranty. Repair work on parts that fulfil a safety function is not permitted. Use only original Viessmann spare parts, or equivalent parts that have been approved by Viessmann. Service work on the heating system & Isolate the system from the power supply and check that it is no longer 'live', e.g. by removing a separate fuse or by means of a mains isola- tor. & Safeguard the system against unauthorised reconnection. & When using gas as fuel, also close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorised reopening.
