Installation 1. Verify that you have an Internet connection. 2. Power off your modem. 3. Disconnect the network cable from your modem and your computer. 4. Connect your modem to the TEW -818DRU's Internet port (yellow). 5. Connect your com puter to one of the wireless router's LAN ports. 1

N o te: EU models have an on/off switch. Please move the pow er switch to the “O n” position. 7. Power on your modem. Wait until the LEDs indicate that modem is fully functional. For more information on your m odem's LEDs, please refer with your modem's user's guide. 8. Open your web browser; the login screen will autom atically appear. If the login screen does not appear, type http://tew-818dru into the address bar of the web browser and press enter. N o te: You can also access the device using the default IP address (http://192.168.10 1). 10. Select the desired Language. For your security, we have configured each router with a predefined user name and password. N o te : • For added security we have pre-encrypted each TEW -818DRU with a unique Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Key. You can find these pre-configured settings on the labels at the side and bottom of the router. You will use this information to connect wireless to the router. To change the Wi-Fi Key, refer to the product manual. If the wireless router is reset, the Wi-Fi Key and the Wi-Fi Name will also reset to factory defaults. • To log back in to the wireless router, you will need to know the router's user name and password. You can find the default user name and password on the labels at the side and bottom of the router. 16.
