This mini-culti. has been developed as an

attachment for HITACHI brush cutters. With the application of this unit your brush cutter can be converted into compact and handy tilling machine. Installation is simple. Please read the is manual for installation and starting job. 1. Assembly procedures �� 1) First, remove gear ease assembly from your brush cutter by removing pipe tightening screws (1) and pipe lock screw (2), then remove safety cover of brush cutter. (Fig.1) 2) Install safety cover (3) and the collar (4) of Mini-culti. by inserting onto shaft pipe (5) and �� the cover upright. (Fig .2) 3) Install Mini-culti. unit onto the pipe end where gear ease has been removed from by aligning drive shaft (6) and squared or splined hole in gear ease. If drive shaft does not fit into the hole, try to turn the whole unit slightly right and left. (Fig. 4) 4) Once the unit is completely inserted, meet the locking hole of pipe and that of gear ease, tighten the lock screw (7) in the hole and pipe tightening screws (8) in order. (Fig. 4) ��After installation, you can not turn tines by hand due to its worm gear mechanism. 5) Finally secure the safety cover more than 40mm from gear ease. �� If your unit has the pipe dia. 26mm which has larger sized shaft pipe, remove the bracket collar (9) and gear ease collar B (10) and install. (Fig. 3) 2. �� 1) As to general safety operation and power head operation such as engine starting/shutt off, etc, please refer to the owner’s manual provided with your HITACHI brush cutter. 2) How to till: a. For standard tilling. Walk forward as pulling and pushing the unit little by little like using a vacuum cleaner. (Fig. 5) When you want to erase your foot-prints, pull the unit backwards. (Fig. 6) b. For shallow tilling, move the unit quickly over soil surface. (Fig. 7) For deeper tilling, hold the unit over the same area with the gentle back and forth motion. (Fig. 8) �� a. Working throttle position depends on your size of engine and tilling depth but half way open is standard. If tines rotate too fast, the unit is likely to hop. b. Do not work in rocky area. If the tines jammed with rock or hard soil, or tangled around with long grasses, shut off engine �� c. Do not use the unit in water or rooted, vine area. (Fig. 10 & 11) d. The tines are preassembled at factory, when reassembling them, be aware of their direction. e. Do not touch gear ease with bare hand right after operation. It gets hot. f. Supply proper amount of lithium-based grease, such as Shell Aluvania grease R2, �� EP2 or equivalent after every 25 hours of use. (Fig. 12) g. worden. Mit der Befestigung dieses Geräts verwandelt sich Ihr Freischneidegerät in ein kompaktes und praktisches Bodenbearbeitungsgerät. Das Gerät lässt sich einfach montieren. Bitte lesen Sie hierzu die Anleitung zur Montage und Inbetriebnahme. �� 1) D e m o n t i e r e n S i e z u n ä c h s t d e n Getriebekasten vom Freischneidegerät, indem Sie die Festspannschrauben (1) und die Konterschraube (2) am Rohr abschrauben. Entfernen Sie danach das Schutzverdeck des Freischneidegeräts. (Abb. 1) 2) Schieben Sie das Schutzschild (3) und die Manschette (4) des Mini-culti auf die Achse (5) und befestigen das Schutzschild temporär so, dass der Modellname nach oben zeigt. (Abb. 2) 3) Montieren Sie die Ackerfräse auf das Rohrende, von dem das Getriebegehäuse entfernt wurde, indem Sie die Antriebswelle (6) an der Vierkant- bzw. Keilbohrung i m G e t r i e b e g e h ä u s e a u s r i c h t e n . Falls die Antriebswelle nicht in die Bohrung passt, versuchen Sie, das gesamte Gerät etwas nach rechts bzw. links zu drehen. (Abb. 4) 4) Sobald das Gerät vollständig eingeschoben ist, bringen Sie die Verriegelungsbohrung des Rohres und die des Getriebegehäuses zur Deckung. Ziehen Sie danach die Konterschraube (7) in der Bohrung sowie die Festspannschraube des Rohres (8) an. (Abb. 4) ��Bedingt durch das Schneckengetrieb lässt sich das Pflugmesser nicht per Hand drehen. 5) Befestigen Sie das Schutzschild in der �� 40 mm vom Getriebekasten entfernt. �� Falls Sie ein Gerät mit einem Rohrdurchmesser von 26 mm verwenden, �� demontieren Sie vor der Montage den Haltebund (9) und den Getriebegehäusebund B (10). (Abb. 3) �� 1) Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise und Einzelheiten zur Bedienung des Motors entnehmen Sie bitte der Anleitung Ihres HITACHI -Geräts. �� vorwärts, während Sie das Gerät ähnlich wie �� und Vorbewegungen.
