USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

4 1. Always ensure that the appliance is placed on stable surfaces to prevent vibration or noise. 2. Place the refrigerator in a dry and well-ventilated room to increase refrigerator efficiency and reduce energy consumption. 3. Always ensure to leave a space of at least 100mm from the rear of the appliance to the wall 4. The two sides should be at least 200mm away from the wall with the top at least 300mm away from the ceiling. 5. Avoid exposing the appliance to heated sources and direct sunshine. 6. Do not place appliance in damp or wet areas to prevent damage to electricity insulation and damage. 7. Recommended power supply: Single-phase alternating power supply with the voltage of 187V - 242V, and the frequency of (50±1) Hz. 8. This appliance must be earthed. 9. Do not use multiple adapter or extension cable. 10. Avoid splashing water on the electrical parts to prevent a short circuit or damaging the appliance. 11. Do not store flammable objects into the refrigerator such as gasoline, propane, adhesive, and so on. 12. Never tilt over when moving the refrigerator. The obliquity of the refrigerator should be over 45°. INSTALLATION AND SAFETY RULES 1. The temperature is nearly the same as the ambient temperature when the appliance operates for the first time. In general, it takes around 2 hours to enable the temperature inside to reach ambient temperature, of which the motor will automatically cut off. 2. After operating for 2 hours, refer to the following instructions to adjust the temperature and close the door in order to operate optimally. (Thermostat controls compressor to stop and start automatically.) 3. Now, you can store foods inside it. NOTE: This table is a guide for adjusting the temperature of the refrigerator when it is operating for the first time only. OPERATING REQUIREMENT KNOB POSITION INDICATION During first use Strong (Exceed ''6") After 3 hours “3” When it is necessary to reduce the “4 – 6” temperature again If temperature is too low “1 – 2” NOTE: Do not store any food before the appliance operates optimally MCS-288D(IM)131117.qxp_Layout 1 12/28/17 10:30 AM Page 3

The temperature control is fixed on the veneer or on the tabletop of the refrigerator as

shown below. • When the control knob is in "O" position the compressor will not operate. • The temperature control is adjustable from "1" to "6", where the coldest is in ascending order (6). • For rapid refrigeration, set the control knob to "5" or "6". Note:This function is for rapid refrigeration purposes only and should not be used continuously as it may damage the contents inside it. LAMP REPLACEMENT • First, cut off the power supply and loosen the screws on lampshade at the top. • Liner with a screwdriver and remove the lampshade. Then remove the lamp and replace with a new one. Finally, assemble the lampshade and secure it with screws and connect the power supply to inspect the lamp. Frost will form on the surface wall inside the refrigerator after continuous use and will affect its performance of the refrigerant. It is recommended to defrost whenever frost is thicker than 5mm. TO DEFROST • Set the control knob to "O" or disconnect the power supply before defrosting the refrigerator. • Open the refrigerator door and remove its contents. • Gently knock on the frost to dislodge it. • Wait until the defrosted water is drained before cleaning with a soft cloth dipped in warm water or neutral pH cleansers. • Never attempt to scrape/remove ice /frost with sharp objects such as knives or shovels to avoid damaging the evaporator. • Connect the refrigerator to the power supply after defrosting.
