To complete the i3010 installation process:
7. Reboot the i5100 terminal by pressing and releasing the shortcut keys
(CHQ + SAV + CANCEL) at the same time.
8. The i3010 pinpad will now display “PAYMARK EFTPOS” which is its
standard idle screen.
NOTE: If the above steps have been performed and the i3010 pinpad is still
displaying the step 6 screen, repeat step 7 again to re-synchronise the internal
keys between the i3010 pinpad and i5100 terminal.
In the unlikely event that the i3010 pinpad has not been synchronised with the
serial number, perform the steps below to complete the installation process:
9. The i5100 terminal will prompt for the serial number of the i3010 pinpad to
be entered. Key the 10 digit serial number (found on the back of the
i3010 pinpad) into the i5100 terminal and press ENTER.
10. The i5100 terminal will prompt to re-enter the serial number and press
ENTER.
NOTE: When replacing an i3010 pinpad, ensure that the power supply to the
i5100 terminal is turned off. Unplug the i3010 pinpad cable from the RS232-1
port on the i5100 terminal and then proceed from step 2(as above).

3 SET UP
3.1 CONFIGURATION SUMMARIES
The following summaries walk through the basic common steps for setting up a
terminal on a merchant site. A more detailed process is shown later in this
section.
3.1.1 Single Merchant Configuration Summary
The following steps are carried out to set up a terminal for a single merchant
site:
Step 1
EFTPOS CONFIGURATION
Press FUNC 3824 to access the configuration menu. Configure the Terminal ID
and Merchant ID. The default comms mode is dial-up and the terminal must
remain in dial-up mode until RKI initialisation and merchant logon have been
completed.
Step 1A
INITIAL CONFIGURATION OF DIAL-UP
When configuring the terminal for Dial-up, select the required dial mode.
1 = Tone – the modem waits and listens for a healthy dial tone
before dialling through to the host (default setting).
3 = Tone/Blind – the modem ignores the health of the dial tone on
the line and simply dials the configured phone number to call the
host.
If a PABX number is required, insert it into the PABX field and then press ENTER.
Check the Host Phone Number is 08797 (default setting) and press ENTER.
Step 2
REMOTE KEY INJECTION (RKI) CONFIGURATION
Upon completion of merchant configuration, the terminal is now prepared to
download the ETSL security keys through RKI. As RKI can be performed only in
dial-up mode, configure the terminal as follows:
FUNC 7418 and from the Multi Merchant Setup screen, press 5 to go into the RKI
configuration menu. Check the NII (018) and the Host Phone Number (08797)
are correct.

Step 3
REMOTE KEY INJECTION (RKI) INITIALISE
Press FUNC 87, key in the RKI password 6987 and press ENTER. The terminal will
now download the required ETSL security keys.
Step 4
TO PRINT TERMINAL CONFIGURATION
Upon completion of RKI Initialisation, press ENTER to scroll through the terminal
menu until SUPERVISOR is displayed. Press CHQ key to select XTRA and then
press 2 for terminal configuration.
Press ENTER to print the terminal configuration with the KVC (Key Verification
Code).
Step 5
TO ACTIVATE KEYSET LOADED
To activate the acquired keyset, contact the Paymark helpdesk on 0800 800
996 and register the merchant ID and KVC.
Step 6
MERCHANT LOGON
To complete activation, initiate a merchant logon.
Step 7
TO CHANGE COMMS MODE SELECTION
Press FUNC 3824 to access the configuration menu. Press ENTER to scroll
through configuration menu to comms mode selection. Select the desired
comms mode by pressing the corresponding number key:
1 = Dial-up
2 = TCP-IP/Dial
3 = TCP-IP
Note: Before activating the terminal for Broadband connectivity, a Broadband
Agreement form needs to be completed and sent to Paymark.
STEP 7A
TCP-IP/DIAL BACKUP CONFIGURATION
When configuring the terminal for TCP-IP, check the Primary and Secondary
Host IP address are correct. Select 1 to enable the terminal for DHCP (Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol) IP address or select 2 to disable DHCP and key in
the static IP address, subnet mask and default gateway IP address and then
press ENTER to proceed through the Dial-up configuration. Select required dial
mode.
1 = Tone – the modem waits and listens for a healthy dial tone
before dialling through to the host (default setting).

4.1.1 Pending Reversal
Prior to removing a terminal from a merchant’s site, or reprogramming it with a
new merchant ID, it is important to perform a logon to ensure there are no
pending reversals stored on the terminal.
To clear any pending reversals stored on the terminal, simply initiate a
merchant logon.
Stored pending reversals must be cleared from the terminal in order that all
stored transaction data can be processed through the host.
Until stored pending reversals are cleared, it will not be possible to access the
merchant configuration menu and new merchant details will not be accepted
by the terminal.

Hospitality Completion Transaction
This transaction is a Purchase completion, which provides notification that the
authorised purchase has completed. By utilising this combination of
transactions, the merchant is provided with the ability to make an authorisation
for the anticipated end value that approves the validity of the card and
availability of funds.
The approval and other transaction details are stored in the memory of the
terminal for later use. Use of a parameter to recall the pre-authorised
transaction in the terminal creates a completion message without necessarily
requiring their customer to present their card again.

5.6 NEW FEATURES OF THE TERMINAL
5.6.1 DECLINED ALERT
To notify the merchant of a declined transaction the terminal will beep,
displaying ‘declined’ and a receipt will not be printed until the merchant
presses enter.
5.6.2 ONE OR TWO PIECE UNIT
The Ingenico i5100 can function as either an IPP terminal or as an EPP terminal
with the i3010 pinpad attached. This dual functionality allows a merchant to
simply unplug a failed pinpad, re-boot the terminal and continue processing
transactions until the pinpad can be replaced.
5.6.3 FULL MESSAGE ENCRYPTION
Merchants and cardholders can have confidence in the benefits of increased
security standards with full message encryption, allowing the secure
transmission of EFTPOS transactions across wireless or internet communications
links.
5.6.4 BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY
The Ingenico i5100 terminal allows the choice of TCP/IP communications with
the Paymark host. Enabling the broadband connectivity requires notification of
Paymark to set up the necessary broadband access permissions.

PENDING REVERSAL
Prior to removing a terminal from a merchant’s
site, or reprogramming it with a new merchant
ID, it is important to perform a logon to ensure
there are no pending reversals stored on the
terminal.
To clear any pending reversals stored on the
terminal, simply initiate a merchant logon.
Stored pending reversals must be cleared from
the terminal in order that all stored transaction
data can be processed through the host. Until
stored pending reversals are cleared, it will not
be
possible
to
access
the
merchant
configuration menu and new merchant details
will not be accepted by the terminal.
