Modular, Arca Compatible Multi-piece design. • CNC Machined from T6061 Aluminum • Hard Anodized, Scratch Resistant Finish • Adjustable In/Out on Captive Hardened Steel Rods (patent pending) • Forward and Backward Adjustments • Multiple 1/4-20 Accessory Ports • Made in the USA How to Assemble Install the #PBX3 Universal Arca Compatible Bracket Plate onto the bottom of your camera using the supplied 1/4-20 mounting screw. Select the channel on the plate that best fits the body of your camera and install the screw. Align the rubber gaskets face up and press against the bottom of your camera body. Remember, when your camera is facing forward, the 2 large screw holes on the bottom of your #PBX3 will face toward the left, port side. (The ProMediaGear Logo should be on the back of the camera) These screws are where the side portion of the #BP2 attaches. Now you are ready to assemble the port protector side sub assembly. The sub assembly consists of 2 pieces; a small aluminum rectangle piece and the larger side port protector (pre-assembled). If not, align the small rectangle piece with the raised portion facing upward into the bottom of the larger vertical side port protector. (FIG. 02) How to Assemble (cont.) Captive Rod Support Screws (Should be on the left side of body) SS2 Quick Release Adapter Port Adjustable Camera Connection Area 1/4-20 Adapters Safety Stop Screw (FIG. 01) Safety Stop Screw NOTE: The Rods will NOT go in if the screws are already started. Slide the Rods into the Bracket Plate until you see the flat part facing inward, then insert the screws. The Port Protector may be locked down in any position as long as the rods are being secured by the screws mounted underneath on the Bracket Plate. Securely connect the Port Protector to the Bracket Plate by tightening the flat head screw #1 first using a 5/32 Allen key, then tighten the second, screw 2. (FIG. 03) ** If the Rods feel really tight once installed and not allowing the unit to move back/forth, loosen either screw 3 or 4, reinsert, then retighten. Insert and secure the 2 socket head screws provided in the kit. This piece allows the sub assembly to move forward and backward. Once installed this can be fine tuned at any time. Next, install the captive rods. First, insert (1) Rod into the Vertical Portion with the flat part facing in, see rod diagram (FIG. 03) Then, insert (1) Flat Head Locking Screw and tighten down. Repeat for the other side. Note: The Rod must have the flat facing inward to attach properly. Once completed, slide the rods into the bottom of the Bracket Plate. (FIG. 04) shows the bracket positioned in-line with the side port doors and can easily be configured forward to allow for screen articulation. (FIG. 04) (2) Socket Screws To adjust; remove the (2) Socket Screws, place where you want the unit to be positioned and reinstall the screws. Many configurations possible. Leave a bit loose and weave your cable through the snag protector. Attach the second screw and lightly tighten the snag protector to grab and protect the cable. Do not CRUSH your cable. The handles attach to the side of the #BP2 on hardened steel rails and lock in with a thumb wheel screw.
