Matching your hand control to the bed The bed must be in the FLAT position in order to program the remote to operate the base unit. If your bed is not in the flat position start with Step 1. If it is already in the completely flat position proceed to Step 2. Step 1 – Returning the Bed to a Flat Position Using a ballpoint pen, or other skinny blunt head item such as a paper clip, press and release the reset button. The motors will activate and lower the head and foot section one at a time to the flat position. The bed is in the completely flat position when the motors stop running. Step 2 – Pairing the Remote Control to the Base With the bed in the completely flat position, use a ballpoint pen, or other skinny blunt head item such as a paper clip, to press and hold the reset button on the motor. While pushing the RESET button, press and release any button on the hand control and then release the RESET button on the motor. The hand control should now be able to operate the base unit.
