Can I copy a model from my 9Z(A or H) P radio to my 9Z World Cup radio using
the campac, or vice versa?
•
What does "Limit Mode" mean in the ATV function of my radio?
•
Does my radio have a lithium battery to store all my programming, or how is this
data stored? Do I need to service this memory in any way?
•
I am thinking of purchasing an aftermarket Tx module for my module radio. Is
this OK to do? Does this affect my warranty?
•
If I am using the trainer function of my 9Z, does my radio's auto-shut-off feature
know it? Or do I need to turn off auto-shut-off while I'm instructing?
•
How do I set up a condition on my 9Z?
•
I want to change the operation speed of one of my servos (for example, slowing
the opening of my gear doors). How can I do this?
•
Can you tell me the major advantages that this radio will offer me over the 8
channel?
•
I read somewhere the 8U super has 'FUNCTION' trainer capability and the 9Z has
a trainer function called 'mixer'. What does this mean? How does it differ from
other radios?
•
Please explain dual rates, exponential, AFR and ATV and how they are related.
•
Can I replace the antenna in my 9Z myself?
•
Can I unscrew the antenna from my 9Z?
•
I want to set up a throttle cut condition on my helicopter which only operates in
normal, not in any of my other conditions. How can I do this? (I am afraid I'll
bump the throttle cut when reaching for certain other switches in inverted flight.)
•
I was using my radio, and suddenly my throttle servo went to idle. If I pull my
throttle stick all the way back and then move it again, it works for a while and
does it again. Am I doing something wrong?
•
What is 'battery failsafe'? What does this mean? How does it work?
•
Can I use the PA2 in conjunction with FailSafe on my PCM transmitter to help
protect my airplane in the event of interference?
•
I want to move a function from one control input to a different one. For example,
I want to move flaps from the slider onto the throttle stick on a 2 servo glider.
How can I do this?
•
How do I program a four-servo delta wing setup on the 9Z? I want to make the
two servos in each wing should act as both elevator and aileron.
•
I am interested in using conditions, but what about my trims? If I trim the model
in one condition, will the trim 'follow' through all conditions or do I have to retrim
in each condition? Also, what if I need a difference in trim (like an offset)
between one condition and the next, but then want to have any changes I make in
any condition follow from then on?
•
How do I delete a condition or a whole model out of the Campac?
•
How do I start a brand new model in my Campac? I can't seem to select any of the
units in the Campac and start to edit it to make it a model?
I am setting up a twin engined-model and want to be able to command the engines
separately at certain times. Specifically, I always want the engines to respond only
to the throttle stick (never any knobs or other items), and I want the left engine to
operate alone if the C switch is in the up position with the right engine at idle; the
left and right engines operating together in the C center position, and the right
engine to operate alone in the C down position, with the left engine at idle. Can I
do this?
•
I want to set up two servos to operate a single surface, but not use a preset feature
like flaperons or ailevators to do so. How can I do this with a mix?
•
I want to know about triple rates in conditions and over-riding one channel within
a condition for a higher rate.
•
I am setting up flaperons on my 9Z. The flaperon function works great for the
ailerons, but I can't seem to operate the flaps. What am I doing wrong?
•
I want to use a module-based radio (for example, 7U, 8U or 9Z) on a different
frequency BAND than it currently uses. For example, I want to go to 75mHz for
ground use for battlebots, boats or cars, or I have a HAM license and want to use
the radio on 50mHz. Can I do this, and if so, how?
•
When I set up varied conditions, my trims don't have the same amount of effect in
each condition. My 3D condition, for example, the trim has a much larger effect
than in my normal flight condition. How can I fix that?
•
Can the 9Z's synthesized module and receiver be used with non-synthesized
modules and receivers?
•
I own a 6X (or 8U or 9Z) airplane radio. I want to use it with helicopters. How do
I get it changed?
•
I am looking for a 6+ channel computer radio on a ground frequency for use with
my boat, car, or other ground only vehicle. What is available to me?
•
Can I use a receiver with a different number of channels than my transmitter (ex:
4ch Rx with 8ch Tx)? What about with the synthesized transmitter
module/synthesized receiver of the 9Z?
•
How about setting up a complex 7-servo or 8-servo (8th servo being gasoline
engine kill switch) aerobat on the 9Z with 2-each flap and aileron servos?
•
How can I get my gear doors to open and close delayed to the movement of my
gear?
•
My ailerons work fine, but when I turn the flap knob they both move as ailerons.
What's wrong?
•
Why are there different modules for the 9Z and the 8U? Can I use my 9Z module
in my 8?
•
How can I move my throttle trim to the left slider on an aircraft model?
•
What receivers can I use with my transmitter other than the model which shipped
with the radio?
•
When I am using my radio for programming, setup within my house,
experimenting, etc, is there anything special I should do?
•
I'm confused by some of the 9Z terms and abbreviations. Can you help?
•
What are cross trims? Why does the trim beside the throttle adjust the elevator
and vice versa?
•
I want to use flaperons with a 5-channel receiver. How can I do this?
If I am using the DSC or if I have used the A or R key during turn-on to keep the
transmitter from transmitting, do I still need to extend one section of the antenna
or remove the module?
•
Is there any risk to using cellular phones in close proximity with my radio?
•
Please walk me through setting up the 9Z with the GV1.
•
How do I completely reset my 9Z, clearing all memories, passwords, user name,
everything?
•
I see a trim change on one channel when I go from high rate to low rate. I am not
changing conditions, just going to low rate. What's wrong?
•
How do I know which glider type to select for my particular model?
•
How do I properly range check my 9Z?
•
Is there a synth module for 35mHz for use in the UK? Is it legal to use?
•
How can I put expo or a curve into my throttle channel to give me linear throttle
reaction?
•
When I go to the throttle cut screen in an aircraft model, the throttle position
option is not shown. Am I doing something wrong?
•
How do I store the trims after a flight?
•
Does the throttle cut feature in the aircraft programming have throttle position as
an option?
•
When using the elevon feature of my computer radio, I give elevator input and the
surfaces move like ailerons. When I give aileron input they move like elevators.
What's wrong?
•
I want to set up a safety on one of the auxiliary features on my model. For
example, I want my speed brakes to fully retract automatically if my throttle goes
above 1/3 throttle (I'd be making a go-around) to avoid the possibility of stalling
the plane. How can I do that?
•
I want to create a mix which is only active if my throttle is above a certain point.
For example, I only want my smoke to come on if my throttle is above 1/2 to
avoid killing the engine. How can I do this?
•
I want to trigger my high rates to only be active when I am above a certain engine
RPM on my heli. I can use stick position to trigger on the positive side, but on the
negative side it doesn't recognize that the engine is actually 'revved up'. How can I
make this work?
•
If my receiver is PCM, do I need a PCM module or PCM crystal for my
transmitter? Do I need PCM crystals for it?
•
How can I set up a 45-degree CCPM on a 9Z or 9Z WC2?
•
How do I change this radio from FM to PCM or vice versa?
•
Can the 9Z radios handle 140 degree CCPM? If so, how?
•
What are the differences between a 9Z*P, W, and WC2 editions?
•
How can I do differential rudder throw on a v-tail?
•
How can I vary my onboard glow with throttle position?
•
My model is CCPM but one of the functions is backwards. For example, my
elevator servo is forward on my swash plate, not aft, so the elevator function
works backwards. How do I fix that?
•
How do I get aileron differential WITH flaperons?
How do I store models on my Campac? How do I move models from my Campac
back into my transmitter?
•
I want to use the 9Z's FMC functions to set up fuel mixture on my giant scale race
plane so I can adjust the high speed mixture on the left slider. Also, I want the
throttle cut to dump the fuel mixture servo to wide open which releases all
pressure in the tank and bring my engine up to 1/2 throttle to burn off all fuel
immediately. Can it do that?
•
What is a PLL error?
•
Can I fine tune my governor settings in flight? That is to say, adjust from say
1500 to 1525?
•
I did not find the answer to my question here. How do I get further assistance?
Can I copy a model from my 9Z(A or H) P radio to my 9Z World Cup radio using
the campac, or vice versa?

Does my radio have a lithium battery to store all my programming, or how is this
data stored? Do I need to service this memory in any way?
The 9Z uses a lithium battery to store your programming. This battery should be replaced
every 5 years to protect your data. Please send your radio to the Futaba service center
every 5 years for replacement of this lithium battery. Please be sure to back up all data
from your radio onto hard copy or CAMPAC to avoid loss of your programming.

___ Copy from current condition (it will depend on the model # you are copying from
because your base condition # is also the model's current #. Look at the top center of
your screen right after COPY COND it says xx.(name).NRML. whatever XX it
shows is the # you need in the copy condition box.) Press F until proper condition #
shows in the box.
___ Press SET (Q).
___ Copy to a new condition. (Select the blank condition for 2nd condition. To find a
blank one, press the LiST key (.R). The first 10 listed are your base models (your 10
model memory) and cannot be used as conditions. Press NeXT (P) and find the first
condition which has its # in its name and 00 in its model #. Lets assume #15 is blank

___ Now, WAIT! don't end yet! You have to set a switch to use the condition, so do that
now. Press SWiTch (P)
___ Choose a switch to go from your base condition to this condition. For our example,
lets use switch C (.C). Now the switch is currently off in all 3 positions as you can
see, lets decide to use the 2 position of the switch (pulled down toward the sticks) by
pressing the P key to make the condition active when the switch is in the #2 position.
Press PRE to go back.

o
CH2 = Right elevator (inboard)
o
CH5 = Left elevator (inboard)
o
CH6 = Left aileron (outboard)
2. Turn on Flaperon (FPN) mixing. This will slave the CH6 aileron to the aileron
stick. Change the signs as needed to get the proper travel directions (opposite
motion with aileron stick movement).
3. Turn on Ailevator (ALV) mixing. This will slave the CH5 (left elevator) servo to
the elevator stick. If you want the inboard controls to also act as ailerons, use the
A-3 and A-4 settings to get proper aileron travel directions. If you just want
elevator, set A-3 and A-4 to zero (0%).
4. If you want to get the entire trailing edge to respond to elevator, turn on elevator -
> flap mixing (E-F), and choose the percentage needed to get the throws desired.
Choose sign to get proper direction of outboard control motion.

___Arrow over and turn trim on (press + key)
___Arrow over leave offset 50%
___Arrow over to switch assignment
___Press + until says SW-C
___Arrow over
___Press + key until says CNTR/DWN
2. Left throttle operates properly on the throttle stick already with no changes
needed, so that is the up switch position for the channel 3 servo. However, the
channel 7 servo needs to be brought to idle, or kill, or however you want it set up.
We'll assume you want it to idle. To do so, offset mix channel 7:
Select a blank pmix, make it active, and select the first choice as OFS and second
as ch7. Make the percent 50% (you may need to adjust this to match your engine
and your desired result), link off, switch C up.
3. Now, we need to operate the channel 7 throttle but not the channel 3 throttle when
we move the throttle stick while in the down position. To do so, we do a pmix of
throttle to throttle, -100% each direction, link off, trim off, offset 50%, switch C
down. Now channel 7 operates, but channel 3 returns to neutral, not idle position.
Again, like we did in part 2, do an offset mix to solve this problem. Select an
available pmix, make it active, OFS to THR, 50% (adjust as needed), link off,
switch C down.
4. Lastly, we need to turn off the channel 7 knob to avoid its position affecting your
right engine, so pmix channel 7 to channel 7 -100% each direction, no link, 0
offset, no trim, and leave the switch setting as NULL.

1. Remove the transmitter Ni-cad battery pack.
2. Inside the transmitter battery cavity if you look at the bottom slightly off to the
right you will see two slots in the black case. If you look down the two holes you
will see two metal contacts (one in each hole). You will have to use a piece of
wire to short between these two contacts. Short the two contacts for 5 to 10
seconds.
3. Replace transmitter Ni-cad battery and turn transmitter on.
4. If transmitter starts beeping and continues beeping the reset was successful. Turn
transmitter off then on. If beeper does not keep beeping, the reset was not
complete and you need to go back to step #1 and try again.
5. The transmitter now recognizes the new switch positions, the proper
throttle/elevator travel distance, or simply blanked all model memories.
Note: Resetting your 9Z's memory also resets its transmitter stick calibration. There is a
very good chance you will need to send your radio to a service center to have your
transmitter stick travels recalibrated.

1. The first is to change the mixing base relative to the main shaft which would
require making a new main shaft with the head bolt in a different position to
accomodate a different phasing shift of the mixing. This would allow use of the
standard mix in the radio.
2. The second and more likely approach is to use two mixes in addition to the
standard rotation mode to increase the electronic phase shifting in the radio.
(Note: On the older version of the 9Z there is only 30-degree phase shifting but on
the new 9Z it goes up to 40-degree.) This requires using a mix of elevator to
aileron and another mix of aileron to elevator, around 20% up and down mix will
solve the problem if you use the new 9Z. On the older 9Z you would likely need
40 to 60% to accomplish the correct mix ratio. To verify the elevator to aileron
mix is correct all that needs to be done is have the flybar exactly in line with the
tail boom and then move elevator fore and aft to verify the flybar is not seeing any
inputs. Then move the aileron right and left and verify the blades are not seeing
any movement still while the flybar is lined up with the boom. Once you can do
both of these tests without any interaction you will have the 45-degree phase shift
electronically adjusted correctly. These mixes will need to be active in all flight
modes and should not be assigned to a switch which could inadvertently turn
them off. (The default in the program mixes is always on and no switch assigned.)

In order to accommodate a 140 CCPM setup with the 9Z requires the use of one
program mix. The program mix that is necessary is elevator as Master to pitch as
Slave. With my Caliber it requires -35% down linear mix and -33 up linear mix. The
only other change is in the SWH menu. The elevator rate will need to be increased to
approximately 70 to give the same control input as the standard 120 CCPM using a
rate of 50. With these changes the Futaba will fly 140 CCPM perfectly. That is the
setup I flew at the NATS with the Caliber. Using the 140 CCPM gives a more precise
feel to the elevator inputs but does not change the collective or aileron feel.

O C G
Aileron-to-Rudder Mixing. Air and all gliders only. A pre-assigned
programmable mix so that opposite rudder is automatically applied upon
aileron input. This "lifts the nose" of the model in turns, making a
'coordinated turn'. Manual P. 81.
ABE
O C J
Airbrake (or gear)-to-elevator mix for trim compensation: all gliders only.
This pre-programmed mix applies up or down elevator when airbrake or
gear are deployed, correcting for any pitch change from the added drag.
Manual P. 129.
ABK
O D I
Airbrake. Air only. Combines elevator, flap, and optionally spoilers to
suddenly slow the model for spot landings. May be triggered by throttle
position. Manual P. 91.
ABT
n/a
Abort. Used to terminate certain accidental settings such as selecting the
wrong channel while in the FRQ option.
ACC
O D J
Acceleration. Heli only. This is a unique delayed mix. When throttle is
applied suddenly, opposite rudder is automatically applied to counter
torque, then gradually decreased as the model reaches speed. Set up is
complex, you must determine the desired amount of rudder required at
immediate response and the delay time needed to compensate. A heading-
hold gyro provides this compensation automatically. Manual P. 116.

Adjustable Function Rate: see AFR.
Adjustable Servo Travel: see AST.
ADF
O C F
Aileron Differential. Creating larger upward aileron travel than downward
aileron travel to help minimize the model "dragging" the drooped aileron
which causes a model to yaw with aileron input. Manual P. 80.
AFR
O B G
Adjustable function rate, high rate. Adjusts the total travel in each direction
of a particular function, such as ailerons. For example, used to adjust total
aileron travel whether ailerons are a single servo in channel 1, or two servos
set up as flaperons, elevons, or other programming. Manual P. 62.
Aileron Differential: See ADF, also a sub-feature of Flaperon, FPN.
Aileron to Speed Flap mixing: see ASF.
Ailevators: See ALV.
Air: Aircraft model type. See Acro and TYP.
Airbrake function: See ABK.
Airbrake trim mix: See ABE
ALT:
P C K
Alternate switch. Sets the action of the spring-loaded switch. Normal is
"off" when switch is not held, and "on" only when switch is held on. Alt is
one pull to turn on, a second pull to turn off. Used for long training flights
so the instructor only needs to pull the switch to give student control, then
pull switch again to regain control. Manual P. 52.
Alternate switch set up: See ALT.
ALV
O D G
Ailevators. Air only. Twin elevator servos plugged into separate channels
used to control elevator with the option to also have the 2 elevator servos act
as ailerons in conjunction with the primary ailerons. Manual P. 88.
ASF
O C H
Aileron-to-speed flap mix. 4- and 5-servo gliders only. This is a pre-
programmed mix which commands the speed flaps (main flaps on a 5-servo
glider) to operate in unison with the ailerons. Manual P. 127.
AST: Adjustable servo travel. End point adjustment which has only a single adjustment
for both ends of the servo travel. This radio offers ATV (also known as EPA) on all
channels, with each end separately adjustable. See ATV.
ATL: Low-side only trim adjustment. Throttle trims on most radio systems are ATL,
allowing the trim to affect only the idle and not the high speed engine's setttings. NOR
(normal) is the other option of trim setting wherein trim movement affects the servo
across its entire range of motion. See TRM and NOR.
ATV
O B F
Adjustable travel volume, or end point adjustment. Adjusts the total travel
in each direction of servos 1-8 regardless of their control assignment. For
example, ATV adjustment to AIL channel will adjust only the servo
plugged into channel 1 regardless of any flaperon, elevon, or other
programming set-ups. Manual P. 60.
AUT
Auto, automatic. Setting to allow a specific feature to be triggered
automatically based on pre-programmed inputs rather than user input during
flight. See Airbrake, Manual P. 91, for example.
Auto- Shut
Off
Q C G A
Safety feature which shuts off the 9Z after a set period of time of inactivity
to avoid draining the transmitter battery. Manual P. 33.
Backup
battery
Lithium battery in the 9Z which maintains memory when the transmitter
battery is removed.
Band: See Frequency Band.
Battery FailSafe: See BFS.
BFS
P B H R
Battery FailSafe function. Determines how to regain throttle control after a
Receiver low battery warning.
BFY
O D G
Butterfly. 4- and 5-servo gliders only. Also known as crow. A
preprogrammed mix which activates up flaperons and down inner-most
flaps for gliding speed control without spoilers or airbrakes. Volume of
butterfly is adjustable in flight with the left dial. Manual P. 140. Note:
Similar programming is available in acro mode with airbrake (ABK)
function.

G or O M
Condition hold. Holds the actual output to the model in a predefined state,
allowing the user to make adjustments to other conditions safely without
having the model receive the commands for that condition. For example,
condition hold is used by a heli pilot to keep the heli idling safely on the
ground while adjustments are made to the throttle hold, idle-up, and
inverted conditions. Condition hold is used by an aircraft pilot to keep the
aircraft idling safely on the ground while adjustments are made to a
condition which requires full throttle, retracts up, smoke on, or other
equipment combinations which the modeler wants to adjust but not activate
on the ground. Manual P. 40.
CMB: Combine feature within trim menu. See TRM.
CNA
O B L
Condition Name. Used to name each flight condition to minimize confusion
during set up and use. Hint: we recommend naming your base condition the
frequency used with your FSS module for easy channel recognition during
model select (MSL). Manual P. 70.
CND: Condition menu. Returns to Conditions menu. Usually key O in menu screens.

Condition Menu: See CND.
Condition Name: See CNA.
Condition Select: See CSL.
Copy condition: See CPC.
Copy model: See CPM.
CPC
Q C F
Copy condition. Used to copy one condition into another. Often used to
duplicate a working base condition into additional conditions to minimize
repeating set up steps. Manual P. 32.

into a second model memory. Often used to set up 2 similar models, or
make a copy of a working model to experiment with new set-ups. Also used
to copy models to/from the Campac data storage unit. Manual P. 31.
CPT
O D F
Collective pitch. Air only. Used to regulate variable pitch props to slow
model and keep engine running in vertical dives and provide maximum
torque in model’s vertical climbs. Idle trim is used for how high the idle is
when in reverse pitch (diving) and the pitch trim finely adjusts the amount
of pitch at full throttle to avoid over-propping the engine. Manual P. 87.
Cross-trim: Function set-up where the trimmer next to throttle adjusts elevator and the
trimmer next to elevator adjusts throttle.
Crow: See BFY (glider types) and ABK (acro type).
CRV: Curve Pmix Type. See PMX. Also see P. 2-8.
P B F

O D I
Gyro sensitivity. Heli programming only. Used to create stick priority or
activate each rate of a dual rate gyro based on stick position. This
preprogrammed mix decreases the gain of the gyro directly proportional to
the amount of rudder stick given (or steps the gyro down from high to low
rate on dual rate gyros.) Manual P. 114.
Gyro sensitivity: See GYR.
Hel: Model type, rotary wing. See TYP.
Helicopter: Rotary wing model type. See TYP.
High Rate: See AFR.
HLD
O C L
Throttle hold. Heli programming only. This is a pre-programmed linear mix
with an offset. This mix makes the throttle servo no longer responsive to
throttle stick position, and moves the throttle servo to idle. This is used to
practice autorotations. NOTE: a helicopter model type pre-assigns a
condition specifically to be used for throttle hold or autorotation practice;
HOWEVER, it does not assign anything to this condition. Besides
activating throttle hold, you will need to create proper pitch curves to allow
blade inertia to increase during the drop, and sufficient pitch to bring the
helicopter back to a hover and land. Manual P. 110.
HOF
O C K
Hovering offset. Heli programming only. Adjusts the center point of the
pitch curves, including the hovering pitch curve, to fine-tune the hovering
point when it is not exactly center throttle stick position Manual P.109.

helicopter not easily achieved in the normal condition. Note: the 9Z is fully
programmable and nothing is pre-assigned into the idle-up conditions. Manual P. 101.
In-flight needle control: See FMC.
INH
Inhibit. Makes a feature inactive and unable to be used. When a function is
inhibited, it cannot be used even if the assigned switch is moved to the on
position. Setting a feature to INH turns off its functionality without losing
any settings. Only visible in specific features.

which houses all Rf transmission components. Transmission frequency can be safely,
legally and easily changed (including from band to band) by changing the module. TK-
FSS is the synthesized module which allows the 9Z to transmit on any 72 MHz
frequency. TK-FM is the standard module, available on any 50MHz or 72MHz
frequency. Can be converted to 75MHz frequency for ground use by service team.
MSL:Model selection. Used to choose the model you desire to use. Q B F.
Momentary on switch: see ALT
Name: See MNA for model name, CNA for condition name, UNA for user name.
NOR: Normal. Normal trim adjustment, which affects the servo across its entire travel,
not only one half or the other. See ATL and TRM.
NUL: Null. Not assigned or never changed. For example, a mix which has a null switch
assignment is always active no matter what switch is moved.
NXT: Next. Continue to next screen within a feature.
OFS: Offset. Offset PMix Type. See PMX. Also see P. 2-8, P. 2-19.
P
R
O D G
Pitch to rudder. Heli programming only. This preprogrammed mix, also
known as a revolution mix or a tail rotor mix, counters the torque caused by
adding pitch with opposite direction rudder command to keep the helicopter
from rotating or revolving as a result of the increased torque. Not required
with the use of a heading-hold gyro, which self-counters the torque-caused
movement. Manual P.112.
PAR: Parameter submenu. Sets auto-off timer and screen contrast. Manual P. 33. Q C G.
PA2: Pilot Assist. Optional onboard device which uses optical sensors to correct model’s
orientation to upright.
Pitch Curve: See PCV for pitch curve adjustment; PIT for pitch curve attachment to
throttle.
Pitch for Hover: See PHV.
Pitch-to-rudder: See P
R.
Pitch Trim: See PTM.
PCM: Pulse Code Modulation. An electronically encoded method of transmitting data to
a receiver to help minimize the effects of interference. Analog signals are encoded into a
stream of digits, coded as a series of pulses for transmission to the receiver. The greater
number of samples in the digital signal (i.e. 1024 vs. 512), the greater the resolution and
control precision. An increased signal-to-noise ratio allows PCM systems to exibit
minimal effects from interference. See PMD.
O C F
Pitch curve. Heli programming only. Pre-programmed curve mix which
gives 13 points along the throttle stick (or other control – see PIT)
movement to fine-tune the pitch response. Manual P. 104. NOTE: Hovering
pitch, pitch trim and hovering offset allow fine tune this curve.
PHV
O C G
Hovering pitch. Heli programming only. This is a pre-programmed
hovering-type mix which gives an in-flight adjustment to the pitch curve at
and around center stick (or the hovering point if that point is not at center
throttle stick, then the center-point of this feature is adjusted with the
hovering offset command) to give very fine-tuning for easiest hovering.

PIT
P D I
Pitch curve activation. Heli programming only. Used to attach the pitch
channel to the throttle stick. Pitch curve may be disabled or operated by a
control other than the throttle stick, for example, in fixed pitch and dual
rotor helicopters (which use throttle to adjust pitch, not a pitch command.)
Manual P. 58. NOTE: Manual says this function turns the pitch curve
function on and off; however, PCV, pitch curve, actually remains functional
if you reassign pitch to a different control such as a slider.

O D H
Rudder-to-throttle. Heli programming only. This preprogrammed mix adds
a small amount of throttle to counter the added load on the main gear from
increasing the pitch of the tail blades, helping to maintain a constant
headspeed during rudder application. (This is a minor effect and is not a
critical mix for most helicopters.) Manual P.113.
