INRODUCTION: We just wanted to say thank you for purchasing our Anderic® Universal TV Remote Control. Your new Anderic® Universal Remote lets you replace a broken or lost remote. This remote control operates the common features of most but not all models and brands of IR (Infrared) controlled TVs. This remote may provide functions that are not available on your TV. Some functions of your particular TV (e.g. menu functions) may not be controlled by this remote. In such cases, use the original remote control for your equipment. Please use this manual to become familiar with your universal remote. After you are familiar with your remote the first thing you need to do is to install batteries and setup your remote for your particular TV brand using the Code Setup section below. The RRUNV has Worry-free programming: after programming this remote, the RRUNV will never loose its programmed codes; even when removing the batteries. BUTTON FUNCTIONS • Indicator  light:  Indicates  button  press,  and  code  transmitting. • POWER:  Turns  TV  on  or  off. • HOME:  Allows  for  programming  in  a  specific  channel.  Up  to  5  different  channels. • VOLUME  UP/DOWN:  Changes  the  volume  level  of  the  product,  normally  the  TV. • MUTE:  Turns  off/on  the  audio  while  the  picture  remains. • CC  (closed  caption):  TV  Closed  Caption  (if  your  TV  has  this  feature. • NUMBERS:  Enter  numbers  for  direct  channel  selection.  Some  products  require  ENTER  to  be  pressed  after  channel  selection. • ENTER:  Used  after  direct  channel  number  entry  to  change  to  the  selected  channel  immediately. • CHANNEL  UP/DOWN:  Changes  the  channels. • PREV.CH:  Returns  to  the  previously  selected  channel. • SLEEP:  Turns  on/off  sleep  timer.  Used  to  turn  off  TV  automatically  between  1-­‐99  minutes. • -­‐  /  +100:  Inserts  dash  into  channel  number  or  allows  TV  to  input  a  channel  greater  than  100. • INPUT:  Changes  through  the  input  devices  connected  to  the  TV. • SET:  Initializes  setup  of  remote  and  devices. BATTERY INSTALLATION: 1. On the back of the remote, push down on the arrows marked “>>>” and slide the cover off. 2. Match the batteries to the + and – marks inside the battery case, then insert 2 AA Alkaline batteries. 3. Slide battery cover back into place. You should hear a snap to confirm secure. 4. If installing screw, insert screw into hold and twist into place using small philips head screwdriver. When screw is snug, stop twisting. WARNING: Twisting screw too tight may crack the battery cover. CODE SETUP • Direct Code Entry 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Enter the 4-digit code corresponding to the brand of your TV. After a valid code entry, the indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the indicator flashes 4 times quickly and exits setup mode. NOTE: After entering code setup mode, if without pressing any button for 20 seconds, the remote shall quit the setup mode. • Code Search Entry 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Press either POWER or CH+ to scan through the codes. NOTE: If to press POWER, it sends the data of POWER (searching forward through the codes); if to press CH+, it sends the data of CH+ (searching forward through the codes); If to press CH-, it sends the data of CH- (searching backward through the codes). 3. If the TV is controlled (either by powering off the unit or changing the channel), press ENTER to save the code; and then the remote shall quit the code setup mode and go back to the normal state. NOTE: if you pass the code you can press CH- to scan backwards through the codes.  After the remote searches the whole code base, the indicator shall blink 5 times quickly and then the remote shall quit the code setup mode.

1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Enter code 8888. Light will remain on. It is now in automatic code search mode. The remote is now sending a different code every 2 seconds automatically. 3. Once the TV turns off press ENTER button to lock in the code. Your remote is now programmed. • Quick Program Using 0-9 Keys 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Press and hold the respective brand number button (0-9 keys) according to table below. When the TV’s volume bar appears on the TV screen, the remote is now programmed. 1 RCA, GE, PROSCAN, SYNTAX, OLIVIA, KOLIN 2 ZENITH, VIEWSONIC, WESTINGHOUSE 3 PHILIPS, MAGNAVOX, INSIGNIA, DYNEX, AOC, ENVISION 4 SONY, PANASONIC, SHARP, TOSHIBA 5 HITACHI, SANYO, LG, GOLDSTAR, MITSUBISHI 6 SYLVANIA, CURTIS-MATHES, EMERSON 7 PDI, AKAI, SOYO 8 POLAROID, VIZIO, JVC 9 SAMSUNG, DAEWOO, YAMAHA 0 HAIER, KONKA, ORION HOME SETUP • Clearing HOME 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Press the HOME button. 3. Press the SET button. Now its reset. Continue on to programming the HOME button. • Setting HOME button to change to HOME channel NOTE: You must first reset the HOME button. Follow the “Clearing HOME” steps above. 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Press HOME button. 3. Enter the channel number for the channel you wish for it to change to when pressed. NOTE: You can use up to 3 buttons, including 0 through 9. For example: 550, 1, 22, etc. 4. Press and release SET button to save the channel number. 5. You’re done. You can now repeat steps 1-4 to program another HOME channel. Up to 5 can be programmed.

SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER: NOTE: The SLEEP button operates the Sleep function of your TV providing it supports the Sleep function. Alternatively, you can enable the remote to turn off your TV after a period of 1 to 99, Instructions provided in this section. This feature works even if your TV does not have its own Sleep function. • First make sure you have your remote programmed to your TV using the instructions under CODE SETUP. • After successfully programming your remote, try pressing SLEEP button first and make sure on screen sleep option DOES NOT appear before continuing. If it does appear then you do not have to continue with the following steps. 1. Press and hold the SLEEP button until the indicator light blinks and remains on. Then release the button. 2. Using the numerical pad, press numbers 01 - 99 depending on the number of minutes you would like before the TV turns off. If you press 01 the TV will turn off in 1 minute. 3. If digits are entered correctly then indicator light will blink twice then turn off. 4. TV Sleep Timer is now set. 5. Leave the remote pointing towards the TV with an unobstructed path. NOTE: Pressing any additional buttons on the remote will not cancel the sleep timer. You must place remote in a non - obstructed view facing the TV. To Cancel the set sleep function, press and hold the SLEEP or POWER button for 3 seconds. ADDING THE BUTTONS OF “INPUT” AND “+100” NOTE: Once programmed, this remote should directly control the buttons of “INPUT” and “+100” already. But if they happen to not work you can try another code or do the following steps to program just the “INPUT” and “+100” buttons. 1. Press and hold CC button for a few seconds until the TV’s volume bar shows on screen. 2. Then release the CC button. They should now be programmed. RESET 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons. 2. Press the CC button and the light shall flash 3 times. Remote is now reset to its factory settings. TROUBLESHOOTING: • LIGHT BLINKS RAPIDLY AFTER INPUTING CODE o Code was incorrect. Please double check codes using the table provided and retry. • LIGHT DOESN’T SHOW AT ALL EVEN WHEN I PRESS A BUTTON o Batteries are dead or inserted wrong. • CAN NOT SEEM TO GET REMOTE INTO SETUP MODE o Must press and hold SET (do not release) then press and hold POWER for 3 seconds. Light then blinks and remains on. You should now be in setup mode. • REMOTE DOES NOT OPERATE TV o Program the remote with a new code. o Remote may not be compatible with your TV. But if brand is listed in code booklet. It should be compatible. o Make sure your TV is NOT a combination TV, if it is then it may not work. Your TV is a combination TV if it has an attached VCR or DVD player. • BRAND NOT LISTED o Try using CODE SEARCH METHOD. If remote still doesn’t program for your TV then the remote is not compatible. • SOME BUTTONS DON’T WORK o Its OK if some buttons do not work like the CC, ENTER & PREV.CH. These buttons may not be compatible with your TV o The code that you programmed into the remote doesn’t operate those buttons when pressed. o Try programming the remote using one of the other provided codes for that brand. This may allow for those buttons to work. CODE INDENTIFICATION 1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.

3. To find the first digit for the code stored, press each number button (0-9). When the indicator light blinks, the number you pressed is the first digit of your code. Now light is ready to blink for the next digit. 4. To find the second, third and fourth digits, repeat Step 3. When the indicator light blinks, this is the next digit. When you reach the fourth digit, remote exits setup mode.
