primera vez, prepare aprox. 5 tazas de
café expreso y deséchelas a continuación.
Estas primeras tazas no tendrán aún un
buen sabor.
9.7
Requisitos:
-
El aparato está listo para el servicio. El
LED de expreso 26 se ilumina de forma
duradera.
-
El interruptor giratorio 5 está en OFF.
1.
Inserte el portafiltros 19 con el filtro 1/2
seleccionado sin café expreso en pol-
vo.
2.
Coloque una taza bajo el portafil-
tros 19.
3.
Pulse la tecla de expreso
25 y deje
correr en el recipiente la cantidad de
agua aproximada correspondiente a
un expreso (aprox. 40 ml).
4.
Requisitos:
-
El aparato está listo para el servicio. El
LED de expreso 26 se ilumina de forma
duradera.
-
El interruptor giratorio 5 está en OFF.
1.
Para un expreso sencillo, utilice el fil-
tro 2. Para un doble expreso o para
dos tazas de expreso, utilice el filtro 1.
2.
Inserte el portafiltros 19 preparado de-
bajo de la cabeza de grupo 13. El
portafiltros debe quedar bien ajustado.

Consejos para un
expreso perfecto
agua. Tendrá un sabor aguado, o inclu-
so un poco ácido.
Remedio:
- Compruebe si el café expreso en pol-
vo se ha molido lo suficientemente fi-
no.
- Utilice más café expreso en polvo.
- Procure que el café expreso en polvo
se compacte de manera uniforme y
sin grietas.
- Ejerza más presión al prensar.
•
Remedio:
- Utilice menos café expreso en polvo.
- No ejerza tanta presión al prensar.
•
Limpie regularmente su cafetera expre-
so.
•
Utilice siempre agua del grifo fresca
que no sea demasiado dura. Si su
agua del grifo es demasiado dura, pue-
de utilizar agua filtrada por medio de
un filtro de agua convencional.
¡PELIGRO de lesiones por es-
caldaduras!
Al manejar la boquilla de vapor 8 sal-
drá vapor caliente y agua caliente. La
boquilla de vapor se calienta mucho.
Agarre la boquilla de vapor únicamen-
te por el mango de plástico 10. No
suministrar agua caliente (a aprox. 80 °C),
por ejemplo, para un café americano o
para precalentar tazas.
Puede girar la boquilla de vapor 8 hacia
uno y otro lado.
Requisitos:
-
El aparato está listo para el servicio. El
LED de expreso 26 se ilumina de forma
duradera.
1.
Coloque un recipiente bajo la boquilla
de vapor 8.
2.
Ponga el interruptor giratorio 5 en el
símbolo
.
3.
Pulse la tecla de expreso
25. Fluye
agua caliente por la boquilla de va-
por 8.
4.
A más tardar cuando hayan fluido
100 ml de agua, detenga el proceso pul-
sando de nuevo la tecla de expreso
25 para que se suelte.
5.
Vuelva a ajustar el interruptor girato-
rio 5 en OFF.
to vuelve a calentarse. Cuando el LED de ex-
preso se ilumine de forma duradera, el
aparato volverá a estar listo para preparar
un expreso.
NOTA: el tiempo máximo para extraer
agua caliente es de aprox. 80 segundos. A
continuación, la función se detiene automá-
ticamente.
expreso
25. Cuando el aparato haya
vuelto a calentarse, la función puede utili-
zarse de nuevo.
14.
Hacer espuma de
leche
¡PELIGRO de lesiones por es-
caldaduras!
Al manejar la boquilla de vapor 8 sal-
drá vapor caliente y agua caliente. La
boquilla de vapor se calienta mucho.
Agarre la boquilla de vapor únicamen-
te por el mango de plástico 10. No
haga. Un punto de referencia: con una
jarrita metálica se alcanza la tempera-
tura adecuada cuando las paredes late-
rales de la jarrita estén demasiado
calientes como para sujetarla en la ma-
no.
•
ma, no espere demasiado tiempo. De
lo contrario, una parte de la espuma
volverá a deshacerse.
Requisitos:
-
El aparato está listo para el servicio. El
LED de expreso 26 se ilumina de forma
duradera.
-
El interruptor giratorio 5 está en OFF.
1.
Llene un recipiente con leche fría como
máximo hasta la mitad.
2.
Pulse la tecla de vapor
28.
- El LED de vapor 27 parpadea.
- El aparato se calienta para producir
vapor.
3.
Cuando el LED de vapor 27 se ilumine
de forma duradera, el aparato estará
listo para producir vapor.
4.
interruptor giratorio 5 en OFF.
6.
no.
7.
Cuando el volumen de la leche haya
aumentado visiblemente (aprox. un
50 %), sumerja la boquilla de vapor 8
un poco más profundamente. El remoli-
no debe mantenerse. Ahora las burbu-
jas de aire se distribuirán de manera
más fina ("fase de giro").
8.
Cuando la espuma de leche tenga la
consistencia deseada, ajuste el inte-
rruptor giratorio 5 en OFF.
NOTA: en total, el tiempo máximo para
producir vapor es de aprox. 80 segundos.
A continuación, la función se detiene auto-
máticamente. Vuelva a ajustar el interruptor
giratorio 5 en OFF. Cuando el aparato
haya vuelto a calentarse, la función puede
utilizarse de nuevo.
9.
Añada la espuma de leche al expreso
con la mayor rapidez.
10. Limpie la boquilla de vapor 8 cada vez
inmediatamente después de hacer es-
puma pasando un paño limpio para eli-
minar los restos de leche.
11. Ponga el interruptor giratorio 5 ahora
brevemente en la dirección del símbolo
hasta que salga vapor. De esa for-
12. Finalmente, ajuste el interruptor girato-
rio 5 en OFF.
enfriamiento
Este proceso de enfriamiento dura varios mi-
nutos. Si desea preparar rápidamente un
nuevo expreso, puede acelerar el proceso
de enfriamiento mediante una extracción de
agua caliente:
1.
Mientras los tres LED 23, 26, 27 par-
padean, gire el interruptor giratorio 5
en la dirección del símbolo
.
2.
Pulse la tecla de expreso
25. Prime-
ro sale vapor, después sale agua.
3.
Cuando el LED de vapor 27 se apa-
gue, vuelva a girar el interruptor girato-
rio 5 hasta OFF.

7.
Asciugare il portafiltro 19 con filtro 1/2.
10.
Misurazione e
pressatura del caffè
macinato
NOTE:
•
Quando si compra il caffè macinato, as-
sicurarsi che il grado di macinazione sia
adatto alle macchine con portafiltro. Il
grado di macinazione deve essere fine.
Spesso ciò è indicato sulla confezione.
•
Per un caffè normale ci vogliono circa
8-10 g di caffè macinato, per uno dop-
pio circa 16-20 g.
vorranno dunque 2 cucchiai rasi. Il fil-
tro 1/2 dovrebbe essere leggermente
colmo.
Distribuire uniformemente il caffè maci-
nato nel filtro 1/2 senza comprimerlo.
Per farlo si può battere leggermente il
portafiltro 19 sulla superficie di lavoro
e distribuire il caffè senza pressione, ad
es. con un cucchiaino.
3.
A questo punto disporre il lato pressino
del misurino 9 perpendicolarmente sul
caffè macinato. Premere uniformemente
sul caffè macinato fino a raggiungere
all'incirca il segno MAX del filtro 1/2.
NOTE:
•
Una pressione uniforme è più importan-
te di una pressione forte!
•
solo dall'impugnatura e fare raffredda-
re tutti i pezzi prima di toccarli.
Presupposti:
-
L'apparecchio è pronto per l'uso. Il LED
caffè 26 resta acceso.
-
L'interruttore girevole 5 si trova su OFF.
1.

cinato, in modo da poter risalire all'ef-
fetto di questo cambiamento.
•
Un'estrazione perfetta si riconosce
dai seguenti punti:
no-dorata a nocciola.
•
amaro.
Rimedio:
- Utilizzare una minore quantità di caf-
fè macinato.
- Non esercitare tanta pressione duran-
te la pressatura.
•
Pulire la macchina per caffè espresso
regolarmente. I resti di caffè o i pori in-
tasati alterano il sapore.
•
Utilizzare sempre acqua di rubinetto
pulita e non troppo dura. Se l'acqua di
rubinetto è dura, si può utilizzare ac-
qua filtrata ottenuta con un comune fil-
tro per l'acqua.
13.
Prelievo di acqua
calda
PERICOLO di lesioni da scotta-
ture!
Quando si usa la lancia vapore 8, ne
fuoriescono vapore caldo e acqua cal-
da. La lancia vapore diventa molto cal-
da. Toccare la lancia vapore solo
dall'impugnatura di plastica 10. Non
e indietro.
Presupposti:
-
L'apparecchio è pronto per l'uso. Il LED
caffè 26 resta acceso.
1.
Collocare un recipiente sotto la lancia
vapore 8.
2.
Portare l'interruttore girevole 5 sul sim-
bolo
.
3.
Premere il tasto caffè
25. Dalla lan-
cia vapore 8 esce acqua calda.
4.
Al più tardi quando sono passati 100 ml
di acqua, arrestare l'operazione premen-
do di nuovo il tasto caffè
25 per di-
sinserirlo.
5.
Riportare l'interruttore girevole 5 su
OFF.
Il LED caffè 26 lampeggia e l'apparecchio
si riscalda di nuovo. Quando il LED caffè re-
sta acceso, l'apparecchio è nuovamente
pronto per la preparazione di caffè.
NOTA: la durata massima del prelievo di
acqua calda è di circa 80 secondi. Poi la
funzione si arresta automaticamente. Ripor-
tare l'interruttore girevole 5 su OFF e disin-
serire il tasto caffè
25. Dopo che
l'apparecchio si è riscaldato nuovamente, è
possibile utilizzare di nuovo la funzione.
14.
Creazione di
schiuma di latte
PERICOLO di lesioni da scotta-
ture!
Quando si usa la lancia vapore 8, ne
fuoriescono vapore caldo e acqua cal-
da. La lancia vapore diventa molto cal-
da. Toccare la lancia vapore solo
dall'impugnatura di plastica 10. Non
zione vapore. Arrestare la funzione va-
pore prima di estrarre nuovamente la
lancia vapore.
Con la lancia vapore 8 è possibile creare
schiuma di latte. Ciò richiede un poco di
esercizio.
Suggerimenti:
•
Provare latte di produttori diversi.
•
Il latte con un maggiore contenuto pro-
teico forma più schiuma.
•
Un maggiore contenuto di grasso si tra-
duce in una schiuma più cremosa.
•
Utilizzare sempre latte freddo di frigori-
fero (circa 5 °C).
•
Durante la creazione della schiuma il
latte non deve diventare bollente. Tem-
perature più alte alterano il sapore e
causano la dissoluzione della schiuma
di latte. Indicazione utile: nel caso di
un bricchetto di metallo la temperatura
corretta si raggiunge quando le pareti
del bricchetto sono troppo calde per so-
stenere il bricchetto con la mano.
•
Dopo aver terminato la creazione della
schiuma di latte, non attendere troppo.
Altrimenti una parte della schiuma di
latte si dissolve nuovamente.
L'apparecchio è pronto per l'uso. Il LED
caffè 26 resta acceso.
-
L'interruttore girevole 5 si trova su OFF.
1.
Riempire un recipiente di latte freddo
non oltre la metà.
2.
Premere il tasto vapore
28.
- Il LED vapore 27 lampeggia.
- L'apparecchio si riscalda per la pro-
duzione di vapore.
3.
Quando il LED vapore 27 resta acceso,
l'apparecchio è pronto per la produzio-
ne di vapore.
4.
Sostenere un altro recipiente sotto la
lancia vapore 8 e girare lentamente
l'interruttore girevole 5 verso il simbolo
.
- Fuoriesce il vapore.
- Il LED vapore 27 lampeggia.
5.
terrompere portando l'interruttore gire-
vole 5 su OFF.
6.
Immergere la lancia vapore 8 nel latte
e riportare lentamente l'interruttore gire-
vole 5 sul simbolo
.
Suggerimenti:
stenza desiderata, portare l'interruttore
girevole 5 su OFF.
Riportare l'interruttore girevole 5 su OFF.
lancia vapore 8.
12. Al termine portare l'interruttore girevo-
le 5 su OFF.
13. Premere il tasto vapore
28 per di-
sinserirlo e tornare così alla funzione
caffè.
- I tre LED 23, 26, 27 lampeggiano.
1.
Mentre i tre LED 23, 26, 27 lampeg-
giano, girare l'interruttore girevole 5
verso il simbolo
.
2.
Premere il tasto caffè
25. Dapprima
esce vapore, poi acqua.
3.
Quando il LED vapore 27 si spegne, ri-
portare l'interruttore girevole 5 su OFF.

ter 1/2 with clean water and dry it.
NOTE: when you use the device for the first
time, make approx. 5 cups of espresso and
pour them away. The first cups will not taste
very good.
9.7
Preheating the cups
When the device is ready for use, the hot
plate 4 will be heated up.
•
Place the cups on the hot plate 4 to pre-
heat them.
Alternatively, you can use the cup you want
to preheat for flushing. This allows you to
preheat the brewing head 13, filter 1/2
and portafilter 19 and the cup in one step.
Another possibility is preheating with hot
water from the steam nozzle 8 (see “Extract-
ing hot water” on page 65).
9.8
Preheating the filter
and brewing head
(flushing)
Rinse the filter 1/2 and the brewing
head 13 with hot water right before each
preparation. This preheating of the filter and
brewing head (flushing) improves the taste of
the espresso.
Requirements:
-
The device is ready to be used. The espres-
so LED 26 lights up continuously.
-
The dial 5 is set to OFF.
1.
Insert the portafilter 19 with the select-
ed filter 1/2 without espresso powder.
2.

25 again
to disengage it and stop the water.
5.
Leave the hot water in the cup to pre-
heat and pour it out immediately before
the brewing process.
6.
Remove the portafilter 19 with
filter 1/2.
7.
Dry off the portafilter 19 with
filter 1/2.
Measure and tamp
the espresso
powder
NOTES:
•
When buying espresso powder, make
sure that the degree of grinding is suita-
ble for portafilter machines. The degree
of grinding must be fine. This is often in-
dicated on the packaging.
•
For a single espresso you need approx.
8 - 10 g of espresso powder, for a dou-
ble espresso about 16 - 20 g.
The aim of tamping is to compress the es-
presso powder evenly in the filter 1/2. The
surface of the espresso powder should be
even and free from cracks so that the water
is pressed evenly through the espresso pow-
der during extraction. Cracks or thin spots
mean that the water can find its way more
quickly here (“channelling“) - at the expense
of taste.
1.
With the coffee spoon 9, measure out
approx. 1 small spoonful for a single
espresso. For a double or 2 cups of es-
presso it is just under 2 spoons. The fil-
ter 1/2 should be slightly overfilled.
2.
Distribute the espresso powder evenly
in the filter 1/2 without pressing on it.
To do this, you can easily tap the porta-
filter 19 onto the work surface and
spread it out without pressure, for ex-
ample with a teaspoon.
3.
Now place the tamper side of the cof-
fee spoon 9 straight onto the espresso
powder from above. Press evenly on
the espresso powder until it reaches ap-
proximately the MAX marking in the fil-
ter 1/2.
NOTES:
•
Even pressure is more important than
strong pressure!
•
A pressure of approx. 15 kg is optimal.
You can practice this using a personal
scale.
•
To avoid cracks: never knock on the
portafilter 19 after tamping!
4.
Carefully lift off the tamper side of the
coffee spoon 9.
5.
Wipe off any loose espresso powder
from the edge of the filter 1/2.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
burning!
The portafilter 19, the filters 1/2 and
the brewing head 13 are hot after rins-
ing and after making an espresso. Only
touch the hot portafilter by the handle
and allow all parts to cool down before
touching them.
Requirements:
-
The device is ready to be used. The espres-
so LED 26 lights up continuously.
-
The dial 5 is set to OFF.
1.
For a single espresso, use the filter 2.
For a double espresso or two cups of
espresso, use the filter 1.
2.
Insert the prepared portafilter 19 under
the brewing head 13. The portafilter
must be tight.
3.
Place the preheated cup(s) under the
spout of the portafilter 19.
4.
Press the espresso button
25. The
espresso extraction begins. The espres-
so LED 26 flashes.
5.
Let the espresso run into the cup(s) until
the desired amount is reached.
6.
Press the espresso button
25 again
to disengage it and stop the espresso
extraction.
7.
The espresso LED 26 flashes while the
device heats up again. When the es-
presso LED is continuously lit again, the
device is ready for the next espresso.
8.
Turn the handle of the portafilter 19 to
the left until it reaches the symbol
16 and remove it downwards.
9.
Knock the espresso powder out of the
filter 1/2 and dispose of it in an organ-
ic waste bin. If necessary, you can re-
move residues with a teaspoon.
10. Clean the filter 1/2 and the portafil-
ter 19 and then dry them.
12.
Tips for the perfect
espresso
Preparing the perfect espresso is not always
easy right away. So feel free to experiment
a little until the result suits your taste. Here
are a few tips on what you can pay attention
to:
•
There are big differences in the quality
and taste of espresso powder. Try out
different types for yourself.
•
When buying espresso powder, make
sure that the degree of grinding is suita-
ble for portafilter machines. The degree
of grinding must be fine. This is often in-
dicated on the packaging.
•
Only change one thing at a time, e.g.
only the pressure when tamping or only
the amount of espresso powder, so that
you can see the effect of this change.
•
You can recognise the perfect ex-
traction by the following points:
- The espresso flows slowly into the
cup.
- A golden brown to hazel crema ap-
pears on the espresso.
•
Under-extraction can be recognised
by the fact that the espresso flows
quickly like water into the cup. It tastes
watery, maybe a little sour.
- Check that the espresso powder is
ground finely enough.
- Use more espresso powder.
- Make sure that the espresso powder
is evenly compacted without cracks.
- Exert more pressure when tamping.
•
Over-extraction can be recognised
by the fact that the espresso drips slow-
ly into the cup and tastes bitter.
Remedy:
- Use less espresso powder.
- Do not exert too much pressure when
tamping.
•
Clean your espresso machine regularly.
Coffee residues or clogged pores alter
the taste.
•
Always use fresh tap water that is not
too hard. If your tap water is hard, you
can use filtered water from a standard
water filter.
13.
Extracting hot
water
DANGER! Risk of injury
through scalding!
Hot steam and hot water are released
when using the steam nozzle 8. The
steam nozzle becomes very hot. Only
touch the steam nozzle by the plastic
handle 10. Never put hands or other
parts of your body in the steam.
You can draw hot water (approx. 80 °C)
from the steam nozzle 8, for example for an
Americano or to preheat cups.
You can turn the steam nozzle 8 back and
forth.
Requirements:
-
The device is ready to be used. The espres-
so LED 26 lights up continuously.
1.
Place a container under the steam noz-
zle 8.
2.
Turn the dial 5 to the symbol
.
3.
Press the espresso button
25. Hot
water flows from the steam nozzle 8.
4.
Stop the process at the latest when
100 ml of water has passed through by
pressing the espresso button
25
again to disengage it.
5.
Set the dial 5 back to OFF.
The espresso LED 26 flashes and the device
heats up again. When the espresso LED is
continuously lit, the device is ready to brew
espresso again.
NOTE: the maximum time for hot water ex-
traction is approx. 80 seconds. The function
then stops automatically. Turn the dial 5
back to OFF and release the espresso
button
25. When the device has heated
up again, the function can be used again.
Frothing the milk
DANGER! Risk of injury
through scalding!
Hot steam and hot water are released
when using the steam nozzle 8. The
steam nozzle becomes very hot. Only
touch the steam nozzle by the plastic
handle 10. Never put hands or other
parts of your body in the steam.
When frothing milk with the steam noz-
zle 8: dip the steam nozzle into the
milk before you start the steam function.
And stop the steam function before you
pull the steam nozzle out again.
You can froth milk with the steam nozzle 8.
This requires a bit of practice.
Tips:
•
Try milk from different producers.
•
Milk with higher protein content foams
more.
•
A higher fat content results in a creami-
er foam.
•
Always use cold milk from the refrigera-
tor (approx. 5 °C).
•
When foaming, the milk should not be-
come boiling hot. Higher temperatures
change the taste and cause the milk
foam to disintegrate. An indication: if
you use a metal pot, the right tempera-
ture is reached when the sides of the
pot are too hot to hold in your hand.
•
When the milk has finished foaming,
do not wait too long. Otherwise some
of the milk foam will begin to dissolve
again.
Requirements:
-
The device is ready to be used. The espres-
so LED 26 lights up continuously.
-
The dial 5 is set to OFF.
1.
Fill a container at most up to half way
with cold milk.
2.
Press the steam button
28.
- The steam LED 27 flashes.
- The device heats up for steam produc-
tion.
3.
When the steam LED 27 is continuously
lit, the device is ready for steam produc-
tion.
4.
Hold another container under the steam
nozzle 8 and slowly turn the dial 5 in
the direction of the symbol
.
- Steam flows out.
- The steam LED 27 flashes.
5.
Let some steam come out and then
pause by setting the dial 5 to OFF.
6.
Immerse the steam nozzle 8 in the milk
and slowly turn the dial 5 again in the
direction of the symbol
.
Tips:
- Immerse the steam nozzle 8 just be-
low the surface so that air is intro-
duced into the milk (“drawing
phase“).
- Do not dip the steam nozzle into the
centre of the jug, but to the side, so
that a vortex is created.
7.
When the volume of the milk has visibly
increased (approx. 50%), immerse the
steam nozzle 8 a little deeper. The vor-
tex should remain. Now the air bubbles
are distributed more finely (“rolling
phase“).
8.
When the milk foam has the desired
consistency, set the dial 5 to OFF.
NOTE: the total maximum time for steam
production is approx. 80 seconds. The func-
tion then stops automatically. Set the dial 5
back to OFF. When the device has heated
up again, the function can be used again.
9.
Add the milk foam to the espresso as
quickly as possible.
10. Wipe the steam nozzle 8 with a clean
cloth immediately after foaming milk to
remove any milk residue.
11. Turn the dial 5 again briefly in the di-
rection of the symbol
until steam
emerges. This removes milk residues
from inside the steam nozzle 8.
12. Finally, set the dial 5 to OFF.
13. Press the steam button
28 to disen-
gage it and switch back to the espresso
function.
- The three LEDS 23, 26, 27 flash.
- The device cools down.
When the red LED 23 and the espresso
LED 26 light up continuously again, the de-
vice is ready to prepare espresso again.
Accelerating the cooling process
This cooling process takes a few minutes. If
you want to quickly prepare another espres-
so, you can speed up the cooling process by
drawing hot water from the device:
1.
While the three LEDs 23, 26, 27 are
flashing, turn the dial 5 in the direction
of the symbol
.
2.
Press the espresso button
25. First
steam, then water escapes.
3.
When the steam LED 27 goes out, turn
the dial 5 back to OFF.
When the red LED 23 and the espresso
LED 26 light up continuously again, the de-
vice is ready to prepare espresso again.
15.
Cleaning
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
The espresso machine and the power
cable with mains plug 7 must not be im-
mersed in water or other liquids.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
burning!
Many components and accessories of
the espresso machine become very hot
during operation. Allow them to cool
down before cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
NOTES:
•
The following accessories can be
cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand:
- the coffee spoon with tamper 9
- the filters 1/2
- the spout of the steam nozzle 8
- the drip grid 14
- the drip tray 12
•
The following accessories can be
washed by hand with mild detergent:
- the water tank 3

•
If the accessories that come into contact
with water, espresso or milk have resi-
dues of detergent, the taste of the es-
presso will be negatively affected.
Therefore, rinse these parts thoroughly
with clean water if cleaning with deter-
gent is necessary.
After every espresso
1.
Remove the portafilter 19 from the
brewing head 13.
2.
Knock the espresso powder out of the
filter 1/2 and dispose of it in an organ-
ic waste bin. If necessary, you can re-
move residues with a teaspoon.
3.
Rinse the filter 1/2 and the portafil-
ter 19 under hot water and then dry
them.
After frothing milk
NOTE: always ensure that the opening of
the steam nozzle 8 remains clean. Remain-
ing milk residue is not only unhygienic. It
can also quickly clog the small opening.
1.
Wipe the steam nozzle 8 with a clean
cloth to remove any milk residue.
2.
Turn the dial 5 slowly in the direction of
the symbol
until steam comes out.
This removes milk residues from inside
the steam nozzle.

away any excess descaling solution.
2.
Rinse the water tank 3 several times
with clean water.
3.
Fill the water tank 3 with fresh, cold tap
water up to the MAX marking and in-
sert it.
4.
Carry out the two rinsing operations
(same as for the descaling solution)
with 500 ml of water each for both the
brewing head 13 and the steam noz-
zle 8.
5.
To finish, fill the water tank 3 with fresh,
cold tap water up to the MAX mark-
ing.
The device heats up again and is then ready
to make espresso.
17.

haften Espresso. Das Gerät muss zuerst
abkühlen, bis wieder eine Temperatur
unter
angezeigt wird. Dies wird da-
durch angezeigt, dass alle drei
LEDs 23, 26, 27 blinken.

Geschmacks.
1.
Mit dem Kaffeelöffel 9 messen Sie
ca. 1 knappen Löffel voll für einen ein-
fachen Espresso ab. Für einen doppel-
ten oder 2 Tassen Espresso sind es
dementsprechend knapp 2 Löffel. Das
Sieb 1/2 sollte leicht gehäuft gefüllt
sein.
2.
Verteilen Sie das Espressopulver im
Sieb 1/2 gleichmäßig, ohne es anzu-
drücken. Dazu können Sie den Siebträ-
ger 19 leicht auf die Arbeitsfläche
klopfen und z. B. mit einem Teelöffel
ohne Druck verteilen.
3.
Setzen Sie nun die Tamperseite des
Kaffeelöffels 9 gerade von oben auf
das Espressopulver. Drücken Sie gleich-
mäßig auf das Espressopulver, bis es
ungefähr zur MAX-Markierung im
Sieb 1/2 reicht.
Gleichmäßiger Druck ist wichtiger als
kräftiger Druck!
•
Optimal ist ein Druck von ca. 15 kg.
Dies können Sie mit Hilfe einer Perso-
nenwaage üben.
•
Um Risse zu vermeiden: Nach dem
Tampen niemals gegen den Siebträ-
ger 19 klopfen!
4.
Heben Sie die Tamperseite des Kaffee-
löffels 9 vorsichtig ab.
5.
Wischen Sie loses Espressopulver vom
Rand des Siebes 1/2 ab.
11.
Espresso zubereiten
GEFAHR von Verletzung durch
Verbrennung!
Voraussetzungen:
-
Das Gerät ist betriebsbereit. Die Espresso-
LED 26 leuchtet dauerhaft.
-
Der Drehschalter 5 steht auf OFF.
1.
Für einen einfachen Espresso verwen-
den Sie das Sieb 2. Für einen doppel-
ten Espresso oder zwei Tassen Espresso
verwenden Sie das Sieb 1.
2.
Setzen Sie den vorbereiteten Siebträ-
ger 19 unter dem Brühkopf 13 ein. Der
Siebträger muss fest sitzen.
3.
Stellen Sie die vorgewärmte Tasse / die
vorgewärmten Tassen unter den Auslauf
des Siebträgers 19.
4.
Drücken Sie die Espresso-Taste
25.
Die Espressoextraktion beginnt. Die
Espresso-LED 26 blinkt.
5.
6.
Drücken Sie erneut die Espresso-
Taste
25, um sie zu lösen und die
Espressoextraktion zu stoppen.
7.
Die Espresso-LED 26 blinkt, während
das Gerät wieder aufheizt. Wenn die
Espresso-LED wieder dauerhaft leuchtet,
presso.
8.
Drehen Sie den Griff des Siebträ-
gers 19 nach links bis zum Symbol
16 und nehmen ihn nach unten
ab.
9.
Klopfen Sie das Espressopulver aus
dem Sieb 1/2 und entsorgen es im Bio-
müll. Reste können Sie ggf. mit einem
Teelöffel entfernen.
10. Reinigen Sie das Sieb 1/2 und den
Siebträger 19 und trocknen diese ab.
Tipps für den
perfekten Espresso
Den perfekten Espresso zuzubereiten, ge-
lingt nicht immer sofort. Deshalb experimen-
tieren Sie ruhig ein bisschen, bis das
Ergebnis Ihrem Geschmack entspricht. Hier
ein paar Tipps, worauf Sie dabei achten
können:
•
Bei Qualität und Geschmack von Es-
pressopulver gibt es große Unterschie-
de. Probieren Sie verschiedene Sorten
aus.
•
Achten Sie beim Einkauf von Espresso-
pulver darauf, dass der Mahlgrad für
Siebträgermaschinen geeignet ist. Der
Mahlgrad muss fein sein. Oft ist dies
auf der Verpackung angegeben.
•
Verändern Sie immer nur einen Punkt
zur Zeit, z. B. nur den Druck beim Tam-
pen oder nur die Menge des Espresso-
pulvers, damit Sie die Auswirkung
dieser Veränderung nachvollziehen
können.
•
Die perfekte Extraktion erkennen
Sie an folgenden Punkten:
- Der Espresso fließt langsam in die
Tasse.
- Es entsteht auf dem Espresso eine
goldbraune bis haselnussbraune
Crema.
•
Eine Unterextraktion erkennen Sie
daran, dass der Espresso schnell wie
Wasser in die Tasse fließt. Er schmeckt
wässrig, eventuell auch etwas sauer.
Abhilfe:
- Überprüfen Sie, ob das Espressopul-
ver fein genug gemahlen ist.
- Verwenden Sie mehr Espressopulver.
- Achten Sie auf gleichmäßiges Ver-
dichten des Espressopulvers ohne Ris-
se.
- Üben Sie beim Tampen mehr Druck
aus.
•
Eine Überextraktion erkennen Sie
daran, dass der Espresso nur langsam
in die Tasse tropft und bitter schmeckt.
Abhilfe:
- Verwenden Sie weniger Espresso-
pulver.
- Üben Sie beim Tampen nicht so viel
Druck aus.
•
Reinigen Sie Ihre Espressomaschine
regelmäßig. Kaffeerückstände oder
verstopfte Poren verändern den Ge-
schmack.
•
Verwenden Sie immer frisches, nicht zu
hartes Leitungswasser. Wenn Ihr Lei-
tungswasser hart ist, können Sie gefil-
tertes Wasser aus einem handelsübli-
chen Wasserfilter verwenden.
13.
Heißwasser
beziehen
GEFAHR von Verletzungen
durch Verbrühen!
Beim Arbeiten mit der Dampfdüse 8
entweicht heißer Dampf und heißes
Wasser. Die Dampfdüse wird sehr heiß.
Fassen Sie die Dampfdüse nur am
Kunststoffgriff 10 an. Halten Sie auf
keinen Fall Hände oder andere Körper-
teile in den Wasserdampf.
Über die Dampfdüse 8 können Sie heißes
Wasser (ca. 80 °C) beziehen, zum Beispiel
für Americano oder um Tassen vorzuwär-
men.
Sie können die Dampfdüse 8 hin und her
drehen.
Voraussetzungen:
-
Das Gerät ist betriebsbereit. Die Espresso-
LED 26 leuchtet dauerhaft.
1.
Stellen Sie ein Gefäß unter die Dampf-
düse 8.
2.
Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 auf das
Symbol
.
3.
Drücken Sie die Espresso-Taste
25.
Heißes Wasser fließt aus der Dampfdü-
se 8.
4.
Spätestens, wenn 100 ml Wasser durch-
gelaufen sind, stoppen Sie den Vorgang,
indem Sie erneut die Espresso-Taste
25 drücken, um sie zu lösen.
5.
Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 zurück
auf OFF.
Die Espresso-LED 26 blinkt und das Gerät
heizt wieder auf. Wenn die Espresso-LED
dauerhaft leuchtet, ist das Gerät wieder be-
triebsbereit für die Espressozubereitung.
HINWEIS: Die maximale Zeit für die Heiß-
wasserentnahme beträgt ca. 80 Sekunden.
Danach stoppt die Funktion automatisch.
Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 zurück auf
OFF und lösen Sie die Espresso-Taste
25. Wenn das Gerät wieder aufgeheizt
hat, kann die Funktion erneut benutzt wer-
den.
14.
Milch schäumen
GEFAHR von Verletzungen
durch Verbrühen!
Beim Arbeiten mit der Dampfdüse 8
entweicht heißer Dampf und heißes
Wasser. Die Dampfdüse wird sehr heiß.
Fassen Sie die Dampfdüse nur am
Kunststoffgriff 10 an. Halten Sie auf
keinen Fall Hände oder andere Körper-
teile in den Wasserdampf.
Beim Aufschäumen von Milch mit der
Dampfdüse 8: Tauchen Sie zuerst die
Dampfdüse in die Milch, bevor Sie die
Dampffunktion starten. Und stoppen Sie
die Dampffunktion, bevor Sie die
Dampfdüse wieder herausziehen.
Mit der Dampfdüse 8 können Sie Milch auf-
schäumen. Dies verlangt ein bisschen
Übung.
Tipps:
•
Probieren Sie Milch verschiedener Her-
steller aus.
•
Milch mit höherem Eiweiß-Gehalt
schäumt mehr.
•
Ein höherer Fettgehalt ergibt einen cre-
migeren Schaum.
•
Verwenden Sie immer kalte Milch aus
dem Kühlschrank (ca. 5 °C).
•
Beim Schäumen soll die Milch nicht ko-
chend heiß werden. Höhere Temperatu-
ren verändern den Geschmack und
bringen den Milchschaum zum Zerfal-
len.
•
Wenn die Milch fertig geschäumt ist,
warten Sie nicht zu lange. Ein Teil des
Milchschaums zerfällt sonst wieder.
Das Gerät ist betriebsbereit. Die Espresso-
LED 26 leuchtet dauerhaft.
-
Der Drehschalter 5 steht auf OFF.
1.
Füllen Sie ein Gefäß bis maximal zur
Hälfte mit kalter Milch.
2.
Drücken Sie die Dampf-Taste
28.
- Die Dampf-LED 27 blinkt.
- Das Gerät heizt für die Dampfproduk-
tion auf.
3.
Wenn die Dampf-LED 27 dauerhaft
leuchtet, ist das Gerät für die Dampf-
produktion bereit.
4.
Halten Sie ein anderes Gefäß unter die
Dampfdüse 8 und drehen Sie den Dreh-
schalter 5 langsam in Richtung des
Symbols
.
- Dampf strömt aus.
- Die Dampf-LED 27 blinkt.
5.
Lassen Sie etwas Dampf ausströmen
und unterbrechen Sie dann, indem Sie
den Drehschalter 5 auf OFF stellen.
6.
Tauchen Sie die Dampfdüse 8 in die
Milch und drehen Sie den Drehschal-
ter 5 wieder langsam in Richtung des
Symbols
.
Tipps:
- Dampfdüse 8 nur knapp unter die
Oberfläche eintauchen, sodass Luft in
die Milch eingearbeitet wird
(“Ziehphase“).
- Nicht in die Mitte, sondern seitlich
eintauchen, sodass ein Wirbel ent-
steht.
7.
Wenn das Volumen der Milch sichtbar
zugenommen hat (ca. um 50 %), tau-
chen Sie die Dampfdüse 8 etwas tiefer
ein. Der Wirbel soll bestehen bleiben.
Nun werden die Luftbläschen feiner ver-
teilt (“Rollphase“).
8.
Wenn der Milchschaum die gewünsch-
te Konsistenz hat, stellen Sie den Dreh-
schalter 5 auf OFF.
HINWEIS: Insgesamt beträgt die maximale
Zeit für die Dampfproduktion ca. 80 Sekun-
den. Danach stoppt die Funktion automa-
tisch. Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 zurück
auf OFF. Wenn das Gerät wieder aufge-
heizt hat, kann die Funktion erneut benutzt
werden.
9.
Geben Sie den Milchschaum möglichst
rasch zum Espresso.
10. Wischen Sie die Dampfdüse 8 sofort
nach jedem Milchschäumen mit einem
sauberen Tuch ab, um Milchreste zu be-
seitigen.
11. Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 noch ein-
mal kurz in Richtung des Symbols
,
bis Dampf austritt. So werden Milchres-
te aus dem Inneren der Dampfdüse 8
entfernt.
12. Am Ende stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5
auf OFF.
13. Drücken Sie die Dampf-Taste
28,
zubereitung.
Abkühlvorgang beschleunigen
Dieser Abkühlvorgang dauert einige Minu-
ten. Wenn Sie schneller wieder einen Es-
presso zubereiten möchten, können Sie den
Abkühlprozess durch eine Heißwasserent-
nahme beschleunigen:
1.
Während die drei LEDs 23, 26, 27
blinken, drehen Sie den Drehschalter 5
in Richtung des Symbols
.
2.
Drücken Sie die Espresso-Taste
25.
Zuerst tritt Dampf, dann Wasser aus.
3.
Wenn die Dampf-LED 27 erlischt, dre-
hen Sie den Drehschalter 5 zurück auf
OFF.
Wenn die rote LED 23 und die Espresso-
LED 26 wieder dauerhaft leuchten, ist das
Gerät wieder betriebsbereit für die Espresso-
zubereitung.
15.

•
Der Geschmack des Espressos wird ne-
gativ beeinflusst, wenn sich an den Zu-
behörteilen, die mit Wasser, Espresso
oder Milch in Berührung kommen, Rück-
stände von Spülmittel befinden. Reini-
gen Sie deshalb diese Teile gründlich
mit klarem Wasser nach, wenn eine
Reinigung mit Spülmittel erforderlich ist.
Nach jedem Espresso
1.
Nehmen Sie den Siebträger 19 vom
Brühkopf 13 ab.
2.
Klopfen Sie das Espressopulver aus
dem Sieb 1/2 und entsorgen es im Bio-
müll. Reste können Sie ggf. mit einem
Teelöffel entfernen.
3.
Spülen Sie das Sieb 1/2 und den Sieb-
träger 19 unter heißem Wasser und
trocknen diese ab.
Nach jedem Milchschäumen
HINWEIS: Achten Sie stets darauf, dass
die Öffnung der Dampfdüse 8 sauber
bleibt. Nicht beseitigte Milchreste sind nicht
nur unhygienisch. Sie können die kleine Öff-
nung auch schnell verstopfen.
1.
Wischen Sie die Dampfdüse 8 mit ei-
nem sauberen Tuch ab, um Milchreste
zu beseitigen.
2.
Drehen Sie den Drehschalter 5 lang-
sam in Richtung des Symbols

schine reinigen.
1.
Leeren Sie den Wassertank 3 und spü-
len Sie diesen mehrfach mit klarem
Wasser aus.
2.
Wischen Sie den Brühkopf 13 mit ei-
nem sauberen, feuchten Tuch ab. Reini-
HINWEIS: Falls notwendig, verwenden Sie
dabei etwas Spülmittel. Reinigen Sie mehr-
mals gründlich mit einem Tuch nach, dass
nur mit klarem Wasser befeuchtet wurde.
3.
Wischen Sie das Gerät von außen mit
einem angefeuchteten Tuch ab.
4.
Wischen Sie alle Teile trocken.

Lassen Sie die Dampfdüse 8 abkühlen.
2.
Ziehen Sie die Tülle von der Dampfdü-
se 8 ab.
3.
Waschen Sie die Tülle gründlich von
Hand mit mildem Spülmittel ab. Spülen
Sie mehrfach mit klarem, heißem Was-
ser. Oder reinigen Sie sie in der Spül-
maschine (z. B. im Besteckkorb).
4.
Das innere Rohr der Dampfdüse 8 wi-
schen Sie gründlich mit einem feuchten
Tuch ab.
HINWEIS: Falls notwendig, verwenden Sie
dabei etwas Spülmittel. Reinigen Sie mehr-

mit klarem Wasser befeuchtet wurde.
5.
Schieben Sie die Tülle wieder auf die
Dampfdüse 8.
Siebe und Siebträger
1.
Auch wenn Sie immer das gleiche
Sieb 1/2 verwenden, sollten Sie dieses
mindestens einmal wöchentlich aus
dem Siebträger 19 herausnehmen.
2.
Spülen Sie den Siebträger 19 gründ-
lich unter heißem Wasser ab.
3.
Die Siebe 1/2 können Sie in die Spül-
maschine geben.
4.
Trocknen Sie beide Teile gründlich ab,
bevor Sie diese wieder zusammenset-
zen.
Wassertank
1.
Ca. alle 2 Wochen sollten Sie den
Wassertank 3 innen mit etwas mildem
Spülmittel reinigen.
2.
Spülen Sie ihn danach gründlich mit
klarem Leitungswasser aus.
3.
4.
Vor dem Einsetzen trocknen Sie den
Wassertank 3 von außen ab.
16.
Entkalken
Wie jedes Heißwassergerät muss auch die-
se Espressomaschine regelmäßig entkalkt
werden. Kalk setzt sich im Inneren des Gerä-
tes und an kleinen Öffnungen (z. B. an der
Dampfdüse 8) ab. Dies beeinträchtigt die
Funktionen und langfristig nimmt das Gerät
Schaden.
1.
Füllen Sie den Wassertank 3 bis zur
Markierung MAX mit kaltem Leitungs-
wasser.
2.
Lösen Sie 2 gestrichene Esslöffel (ca.
30 Gramm) Zitronensäure darin auf.
3.
Schieben Sie den Wassertank 3 in das
Gerät.
4.
Schalten Sie das Gerät mit dem Ein-/
Ausschalter
22 ein und lassen es
vorheizen.
5.
Der Drehschalter 5 steht auf OFF.
6.
Setzen Sie den Siebträger 19 ohne
Sieb 1/2 ein.
7.
Stellen Sie ein Gefäß (ca. 250 ml) unter
den Siebträger 19.
8.
Wenn die Espresso-LED 26 dauerhaft
leuchtet, drücken Sie die Espresso-Taste
25.
9.
Lassen Sie ca. 250 ml Entkalkungslö-
sung durchlaufen.
10. Drücken Sie erneut die Espresso-Taste
25 zum Stoppen.
12. Warten Sie, bis die Espresso-LED 26
wieder dauerhaft leuchtet.
13. Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 auf das
Symbol
und drücken Sie erneut die
Espresso-Taste
25.
14. Lassen Sie ca. 250 ml Entkalkungslö-
sung durchlaufen.
15. Drücken Sie erneut die Espresso-Taste
25 zum Stoppen.
16. Stellen Sie den Drehschalter 5 auf OFF.
17. Lassen Sie die Entkalkungslösung im
Gerät 15 Minuten einwirken.
18. Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang.
Spülvorgang
1.
Nehmen Sie den Wassertank 3 heraus
und schütten ggf. überschüssige Entkal-
kerlösung weg.
2.
Spülen Sie den Wassertank 3 mehr-
mals mit klarem Wasser aus.
3.
Füllen Sie den Wassertank 3 mit fri-
schem, kalten Leitungswasser bis zur
Markierung MAX und setzen Sie ihn
ein.
4.
Führen Sie die beiden Spülvorgänge
(wie bei der Entkalkerlösung) mit je
500 ml Wasser für den Brühkopf 13
und die Dampfdüse 8 durch.
5.

•
Tasse nicht vorgewärmt?
•
Sieb 1/2, Siebträger 19 und Brühkopf 13 nicht vor-
gewärmt?
Espresso tropft nur aus dem
Siebträger 19 oder fließt auch
über den Rand des Siebträ-
gers.
•
Espressopulver zu fein gemahlen? Zu viel Espresso-
pulver? Zu fest getampt?
•
Espressopulver auf dem Rand des Siebes 1/2?
•
Überprüfen Sie das Loch auf der Unterseite des Sie-
bes 1/2 auf Verstopfungen.
•
Muss die Maschine / der Brühkopf 13 entkalkt werden?
Espresso fließt zu schnell aus dem
Siebträger 19 und ist zu dünn.
•
Espressopulver zu grob gemahlen? Zu wenig Espresso-
pulver? Nicht fest genug oder ungleichmäßig getampt?
Der Siebträger 19 lässt sich
nicht vollständig bis zum Sym-
bol
15 drehen.
•
Zu viel Espressopulver?
•
Espressopulver auf dem Rand des Siebes 1/2?
