Symptom Possible Cause or Diagnostic Test Resolution Remote control does not work. Check the batteries. If necessary, replace with two new AAA batteries. Perform remote pairing. 1 2 Press and hold for five seconds. Control panel does not work. TIP: The sensor for the remote control is connected to the power board and may not work. Test the remote control operation. If the remote control works, there is a fault in the hood. If only one button does not work, test the operation of the hood buttons. Replace the power board. Check the operation of the hood lights. If the lights work, there is power to the electronic transformer. If the hood lights do not work, see "Hood lights do not work." Check voltage to the button wire harness. 1 Disconnect the button wire harness from the secondary side of the electronic transformer. 2 Check for 12 VDC between the pins of the transformer. 3 If there is no voltage, replace the electronic transformer. Check the voltage at the CN2 connector. 1 Check for 12 VDC between pin 5 and pin 6 of the CN2 connector. 2 If there is 12 VDC, replace the power board. 3 If there is not 12 VDC, inspect the wiring from the electronic transformer to the CN2 connector. 4 Repair or replace the wiring. Hood lights and blower do not turn on. The breaker is open. Reset the breaker. GFCI circuit is tripped. The unit should not be installed on a GFCI circuit. Change the outlet type. Disconnect the two-pin connector from the primary side of the electronic transformer and check for 110 VAC to 127 VAC between the pins. Repair or replace the harness from the power board to the electronic transformer. Disconnect the two-pin connector from the secondary side of the electronic transformer, and check for 12 VDC on the electronic transformer. If no voltage, replace the transformer. Disconnect the two-pin connectors from all of the LED assemblies and check for 12 VDC. Repair or replace the harness from the electronic transformer to the LED assemblies. Blower motor does not run at any speed. IMPORTANT NOTE: Voltages must be taken under a load. Back pin connectors to check for voltage. On the blower side of the six-pin connector, check for 110 VAC to 127 VAC between pin 3 and pin 6. If no voltage from pin 3 to pin 6, check the wiring harness and power to the unit. Replace the blower harness if there is power to the unit. On the blower side of the six-pin connector, check for 110 VAC to 127 VAC between pin 4 and pin 6. If no voltage from pin 4 to pin 6, check the connector. If the connector is good, replace the power board. On the power board side of the nine-pin connector, check for 110 VAC to 127 VAC between pin 4 and pin 5. If no voltage from pin 4 to pin 5, replace the blower harness. On the blower side of the nine-pin connector, check for 110 VAC to 127 VAC between pin 4 and pin 5. If no voltage from pin 4 to pin 5, check the connector. If the connector is good, replace the blower. Check the blower. Replace the blower. Diagnostic tests show a problem with the internal blower motor. On the motor side of the connector, ohm: ▪ Pin 4 to pin 5 ▪ Pin 4 to motor case ▪ Pin 5 to motor case If reading open between pin 4 to pin 5 or continuity between pin 4 or pin 5 to motor case, verify it is not the blower motor harness, then replace the blower motor. Blower motor runs, but not at all four speeds. This failure can be caused by a triac failure on the power board or by a touch control failure. 1 Try all button operations on the control panel and remote control. 2 If the blower speeds change correctly on either the remote control or control panel, but not on the other, replace the failed part. 3 If the response on the control board and the remote control are the same, replace the power board. Hood does not move enough air. Verify the duct run is the correct size, including: ▪ Wall/roof cap is correct. ▪ No reduction in size at any point. ▪ Damper is installed correctly. ▪ No excessive elbows. ▪ No excessive length. ▪ No air box used. Correct the duct issue. Recommended duct size is 6". Blower motor is not changing speeds. ▪ For internal blowers, remove the ducting above. IMPORTANT NOTE: Restrictions in the ducting can prevent an audible speed change. If no speed change is noticed, see “Blower motor runs, but not at all four speeds.” If there is a speed change, review the ducting again for restrictions. Filters are dirty. Remove the filters to test. Clean the filters. Insufficient make-up air. Open an outside door or window to test. Under-Cabinet Hood Insert service.subzero.com 828151 REVA 21

110 VAC to 127 VAC enters the unit through the plug, then goes to the network filter box. A three-wire harness connects to the six-pin

connector at the power board and the nine-pin blower connector. Wires from the six-pin connector go to the nine-pin connector of the blower harness. The blower harness connects to the internal blower harness. The blower speed is controlled by a triac on the power board. 110 VAC to 127 VAC enters the electronic transformer through the wire harness. The electronic transformer supplies 12 VDC to the LEDs through the LED wire harness. A three-pin harness on the electronic transformer's secondary side sends 12 VDC back to the six-pin connector CN2. The 12 VDC is then sent through the power board to the control buttons. Under-Cabinet Hood Insert Wiring Diagrams WIRING DIAGRAMS service.subzero.com 828151 REVA 26
