3 motors in parallel 1 2 3 3 2 1 L N PE 3x1.5mm2 LNPE (230VAC / 50Hz) 4x1.5mm2 2LNPE M2 ~ 1 2 PE 1 2 PE 3 3 M1 ~ 1 2 PE 1 2 PE 3 3 M2 ~ 1 2 PE 1 2 PE 3 3 M2 ~ 1 2 PE 1 2 PE 3 3 1 blue neutral 2 black up or down 3 brown up or down PE yellow/green earth

I motori MOVENO-U ø35mm, MOVENO-Y ø45mm (fig. 2) e MOVE-

The MOVENO-U ø35 mm, MOVENO-Y ø45 mm (fig. 2) and MOV-

ENO-Z Ø 58 mm, are electric motors equipped with RPM reduction and terminating at one end with a shaft on which the driving wheels can be mounted; see figure 3. The motor must be fitted inside the winding tube, where it can raise or lower the roller shutter or awning. The control unit incorporated in the motor also has a high precision electronic limit switch system that can constantly detect the posi- tion of the awning. The movement limits, awning open and awning closed, can be programmed and the awning automatically stops when these two positions are reached. The electronic limit switch can also compensate for possible stretching of the fabric (“CAT” function) thereby guaranteeing the perfect closure of the awning inside the box and avoid sagging when opened. The MOVENO DWIR-E motors can be programmed for “RDC” torque reduction, a function that decreases motor torque by approximately 50% just before the awning closes completely to prevent excessive stretching of the fabric. MOVENO DWIR-E also features an “RDT” draw release function that reduces the stretch of the fabric momen- tarily after the closing operation has been completed, to prevent prolonged stretching. The CAT, RDC and RDT functions have been especially studied to simulate the careful and meticulous behaviour of a person who opens and closes the awning manually. The MOV- ENO DWIR-E motor can be programmed with particular functions that solve specific problems: # FRT: this function allows to retract the fabric by a programmable measurement after the awning has been completely opened, there- by eliminating the unsightly sagging of the fabric when the awning is open. For further information see table A2. With FRT Without FRT Safety measures and warnings: The present manual contains important safety instructions for the INSTALLATION and USE of the product. INSTALLATION: Incorrect installation could cause serious injury. For this rea- son, all installation instructions contained in the present man- ual should be carefully followed during the working operations. PRODUCT USE: For the safety of persons, it is very important to follow these instructions carefully in the everyday use of the product. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference. The “MOVENO DWIR-E” series motors are available in the following ver- sions: MOVENO-U with Ø35 mm, MOVENO-Y with Ø45 mm and MOV- ENO-Z with Ø58 mm. They have been designed for the automation of rolling shutters and awnings; any other use is considered improper and is pro-hibited. These motors are intended for residential use. Maximum continuous operating time is 4 minutes. When selecting the type of motor based on the application you must consider the nominal torque and oper- ating time specified on the rating plate. The minimum diameter of the tube in which the motor can be installed is 40 mm for MOVENO-U, 52 mm for MOVENO-Y with torque up to 35Nm, 60 mm for MOVENO-Y with torque over 35Nm and 70 mm for MOVENO-Z. The motor must be installed by qualified technicians in compliance with current safety regulations. Before installing the tubular motor, remove all unnecessary cables and deactivate all mechanisms that are not required for the motorised operation. The mov- ing parts of the tubular motor must be protected if the motor is installed below 2.5 m from floor level. A horizontal distance of at least 40 cm must be guaranteed between the completely open awnings and an object in front of the said awning. The PVC power cable supplied with MOVENO DWIR-E is suitable for external installation. The tubular motor must not be crushed, knocked, dropped or come into contact with any type of liquid; do not drill or apply screws throughout the length of the tubular motor, do not use more reverser switches for the same motor (Fig. 1). The control switch must be close to the application but away from moving parts and at a height of at least 1.5 m. Do not modify any components unless such action is specified in these instructions. Op- erations of this kind are likely to lead to malfunctions. STOBAG disclaims any liability for damage resulting from modified products. For maintenance and repairs contact a qualified technician. Keep people away from the shutter when the latter is in motion. If any work, such as window cleaning, is being carried out near the awning, do not operate it; in case of automatic control, disconnect the power supply as well. Do not al- low children to play with the controls and keep all radio controls away from their reach. Check the balancing springs (if any) and the wear of cables at frequent intervals. If the slope of the awning is less than 25% or less than the value recommended by the manufacturer it should be retract- ed to avoid water pockets when it rains. The roller shutter could be damaged if used when ice has formed. Some of the programming and/or operating phases use the mechanical stops of the awning. Therefore it is necessary to select a motor with a torque that is suitable for the application taking into consideration the effective traction of the awning and avoiding excessively powerful motors. 1) Product description

2.2) Cable outlet direction

(This section refers only to the MOVENO-Z version.) Proceed as follows to change the cable outlet direction: 1. Remove the protection pulling it outwards. 2. Bend the cable in the desired direction. 3. Replace the protection pushing it into its location with force. 2) Installation Incorrect installation may cause serious injury. Proceed as follows to prepare the motor (fig. 3): 1. Position the idle lock ring (E) on the motor (A) until it fits into the corresponding idle ring (F) making sure that the two grooves match; push as far as it will go as shown in fig. 4. 2. Mount the draw lock ring (D) on the motor shaft. On MOVENO-U the lock ring snaps on automatically. 3. On MOVENO-Y, fasten the draw lock ring with the snap ring. Fix the idle lock ring with the washer and M12 nut to the MOVENO-Z. 4. Fit the assembled motor into the awning’s winding tube until it touches the end of the idle lock ring (E). 5. Finally, secure the motor head to the special support (C), with the spacer (if any), using the clips or split pin (B). 2.1) Electrical connections WARNING: a reverser switch must be used during the programming operations to enable the simultaneous acti- vation of the electrical up phase and electrical down pha- se. Alternatively, the special MA 2001 control unit can be used for the programming operations, though it must lat- er be replaced with the appropriate reverser switch. WARNING: for motor connections, an omnipolar discon- necting device with a 3 mm minimum distance between contacts must be provided for disconnection from the mains power supply (disconnecting switch or plug and so- cket, etc.). WARNING: carefully follow all the connection instruc- tions. If you have any doubts do not make experiments but consult the relevant technical specifications sheets which are also available on the web site „www.stobag.com“. An incorrect connection may be dangerous and cause dama- ge to the system. The cable used for the electrical connections of the MOVENO DWIR- E motor has 4 wires: electrical Up phase, electrical Down phase, Common wire (usually connected to the Neutral) and Earth (unipo- tential protection connection). From an electrical viewpoint MOVENO DWIR-E is controlled like any normal motor equipped with electrome- chanical limit switches (fig.6); on the other hand, MOVENO DWIR-E features an electronic limit switch system programmed to stop the motor at pre-established positions. The motor’s electrical “up” and “down” phases are interchangeable, since the former causes the motor to rotate in one direction, the latter in the opposite direction. The up and down movements are determined by the side from which the motor is inserted in the winding tube. The electronic limit switch system establishes and “assigns” the electrical up phase only during the programming operations. Keep in mind that for the electronic limit switch system the up and down phases are not identical; for example, the RDC torque reduction takes place only during the up manoeuvre. Except for the programming operations, it is possible to connect multiple MOVENO DWIR-E motors in parallel so as to utilise a single reverser switch. A reverser switch, enabling the simultaneous activation of both electric motor phases, must be used for the programming operations.

The special MA 2001 control unit can be used for this purpose. Button ▲ is used to raise the awning; button ▼ is used to lower it. If the move- ment is reversed, invert the two motor phases. The MOVENO DWIR-E series tubular motors are equipped with an electronic limit switch which interrupts the power supply when the awning reaches its opening or closing limits, corresponding to the fully rolled up position (0) or fully extended position (1). These two positions must be programmed into the memory after the motor has been installed and the awning mounted. The motor can still be controlled even if these two positions, “0” and “1”, have not yet been memorised; however, the movement in this case will be interrupted momentarily at the start of each manoeuvre and will then continue unimpeded and uncontrolled. It is also possible to program • The activation/deactivation of the RDC torque reduction function during the closing operation. • Position “2” necessary to activate the “FRT” function that allows the fabric to be tightened when the awning is fully open. Awning closed (position 0) Awning open (position 1) RDC torque reduction start position for the closing operation. Position 2 for “FRT” function 4) Programming 2.3) Connector and power supply cable (This section refers only to the MOVENO-Y version and concerns customer service personnel only.) WARNING: if the power cord is damaged it must be replaced with an identical type supplied by the manufacturer or an authorised customer service centre. If it is necessary to disconnect the motor from the power supply cable proceed as shown in the figures below: 3) Adjustments Rotate the lock ring until the notch matches one of the latch- on teeth, then release. Repeat the operation for the oth- er tooth. Bend the cable towards the in- side and remove the protection by rotating it gently towards the outside. Pull out the connector. “2” “1”

After having programmed positions “0” and “1”, it is possible to program position “2” that activates the FRT fabric tightening function.

Push and release the button (released at pint 3) three times within 3 seconds from when the awning performed the brief raising movement. 5. Then release the other button. Note: Cancellation can be made at any time; if cancellation has been correctly performed the motor will turn in both directions briefly inter- rupting the operation. 24 www.stobag.com If you wish to totally cancel the memory, proceed as follows: Table “A5” Total cancellation of the memory Example x3 3s As for the installation, the disposal of the product at the end of its effective life, must be performed by qualified personnel. This product is made of various types of material, some of which can be recycled while others must be disposed of. Enquire about the recycling or disposal systems available for this product category in compliance with regulations locally in force. Warning: some parts of the product may contain polluting or haz- ardous substances that, if incorrectly disposed of, could have a dam- aging effect on the environment or on the health of individuals. As indicated by the symbol in figure, this product must not be disposed of in house- hold waste. Perform “separated collection” for disposal in compliance with regulations locally in force, or return the product to the manufacturer when purchasing a replace- ment. Heavy fines may be imposed by local laws for the illegal disposal of this product. 5) Disposal If you wish to cancel the FRT fabric tightening function, proceed as follows: Table “A4” Erasing the “2” position (fig. 9) Example 3s Short stop 3s 1. Simultaneously press and hold down the ▲ and ▼ controls. 2. Wait approximately 3 seconds for the awning to move briefly up. 3. Push the ▲ or ▼ button to move the awning to position 1. When the awning is in position 1 it automatically stops for an instant (0.2s); release the button before the awning starts again. 4. Simultaneously press and hold down the ▲ and ▼ controls. 5. Wait approximately 3 seconds for the awning to move briefly up. 6. Release the ▲ and ▼ controls. Note: If position “2” is cancelled, the awning will move between positions “0” and “1” that remain memorised.

Though an electrical phase is supplied with power, the motor

does not turn. Check to see if the overload protection has triggered (in this case just wait for the motor to cool down); then make sure that the motor is powered at the correct mains voltage, measuring between the Com- mon wire and the supplied electrical phase; finally try powering the opposite electrical phase. If the motor still does not turn, something might be seriously wrong with the electronic switch control unit or the motor windings. The motor doesn’t start when raising. If the awning is closed or nearly closed the motor will not perform the raising manoeuvre, the awning must be lowered for a short section and then raised again. During the UP phase, before reaching the “0” position, the motor stops and then makes 3 attempts to start up again. This doesn’t necessarily mean trouble: in case of overload during the up phase the motor is switched off for 1 second and then makes 3 attempts to complete the manoeuvre. If this happens again for an- other three times in succession and the motor blocks again on the following raising manoeuvre, the present position of the awning then becomes the new “0” position. During the down phase, before reaching the “1” position, the motor stops. This does not necessarily mean trouble: in case of overload during the down phase the motor is switched off. During the down phase the motor makes only half a revolu- tion, while in the up phase it appears to turn normally. You must allow the up manoeuvre to be completed to enable the limit switch system to realign its position to “0”. The motor performs a half turn both raising and lowering. The memory needs to be cancelled (table A5) and all positions pro- grammed again. 6) What to do if… a brief troubleshooting guide! 7) Technical characteristics of the MOVENO-U; MOVENO-Y and MOVENO-Z tubular motors Supply voltage and frequency: See the technical data on the label attached to each model Current and power: See the technical data on the label attached to each model Torque and Speed: See the technical data on the label attached to each model Motor diameter: MOVENO-U=35mm; MOVENO-Y=45mm; MOVENO-Z=58mm; Precision (resolution) of the electronic limit switch: greater than 0.55° (depending on the MOVENO DWIR-E version) Precision of the limit switch stop positions: Class 2 (±5%) Mechanical resistance: in accordance with EN 14202 Nominal operation time: Maximum 4 minutes Protection class: IP 44 Operating temperature: -20 ÷ 55°C Connection cable length: 0,5 / 1,5 m Subject to change without prior notification. Los motores MOVENO-U Ø 35 mm, MOVENO-Y Ø 45 mm (fig. 2) y

2. Buig de kabel in de gewenste richting. 3. 4 is aangegeven. 2.
