Please read this manual carefully before using your device. What’s in the box? The following figure shows the Compact+ HD’s main components: 1. On/Off button 2. Mode button 3. Snapshot button 4. Magnification button: zoom in 5. Magnification button: zoom out 6. Handle 7. Camera 8. LED lights 9. Mirror The Compact+ HD is placed correctly in front of you when the screen is facing up and the orange On/Off button is located at the left side of the screen.

The Compact+ HD is ideal to quickly scan and view objects or documents and has a collapsible, swing-out handgrip, giving you the feeling that you are using a regular magnifying glass. Simply rotate the handle clockwise, located on the underside, to release it and swing it out to snap in place. The collapsible handle gives you additional support and control for optimal reading comfort. With the handle closed, you can use the Compact+ HD to quickly scan and view objects or documents. With the handle opened, place the Compact+ HD on the object or text you wish to view or read, and grip the handle to easily move the Compact+ HD over the object or document. Cleaning the mirror For an optimal quality image, it is recommended to ensure that the mirror is kept clean. A dirty mirror will result in a fuzzy image. To clean the mirror, use the included cleaning cloth or another soft cleaning cloth. Note: Do not use water or a cleaning agent to clean the mirror.

Mode Pressing the Mode button to the left of the screen allows you to select one of the viewing modes. Pressing this button for three seconds will turn off the object lighting. Magnification Pressing the + or – button to the right of the screen allows you to increase or decrease the magnification. Pressing the + or – buttons simultaneously for one second will allow you to enter or exit the Compact+ HD menu. Snapshot button The white snapshot button located on the right side of the screen allows you to take a temporary picture of a text or image, enabling you to bring the image closer to your eyes. Images can be saved by pressing the snapshot button for 2 seconds.

To the left and right of the camera are two object lights. Switching the power on and off To switch the Compact+ HD on for the first time, the unit needs to be charged. Once the unit is charged, press the orange On/Off button, located at the left side of the screen for one second. The unit will start up in the mode in which it was switched off. To switch off the Compact+ HD, press the orange button again for one second. When switching on the Compact+ HD, it will take approximately 3 seconds before an image is displayed on the screen. Adjusting the magnification To change the magnification settings of the unit, simply press the + or – buttons located on the right side of the screen. Press the + button to increase or the –

Selecting a viewing mode Pressing the Mode button to the left side of the screen allows you to select one of the following viewing modes: Photo mode: view full color texts and photos Negative mode: reading in high contrast white on black Positive mode: reading in high contrast black on white High contrast color combination 1 yellow on blue High contrast color combination 2 yellow on black Pressing the Mode button for 3 seconds will toggle the object lighting on or off. Switching modes will automatically turn the object lighting back on.

The snapshot button allows you to take a temporary picture of a text or an image. - Hold or place the Compact+ HD over the text or image you wish to capture. - Press the snapshot button located on the top right side of the unit to take the snapshot. - Bringing the Compact+ HD closer to your eyes will enable you to view the object or text closely. - Press the Mode button to change the viewing mode. - Use the magnification buttons located to the right side of the screen to change the magnification of the displayed image in 3 steps. - While viewing the taken image, press the snapshot button for 2 seconds to save the image and return to the life video mode. A short beep and the onscreen indicator will confirm that the image has been saved. A maximum of 4 images can be stored inside the Compact+ HD memory. A new image will replace the oldest image in memory. - Press the snapshot button again to unfreeze the image. It is now possible to take a new snapshot.

Charging the Compact+ HD The Compact+ HD is delivered with a power supply and four country-specific power plugs. The power plugs are available in EU, US, UK and AU versions. Select the power plug appropriate to your country and mount this onto the power supply. To charge the Compact+ HD, connect the power supply to the 5V DC IN jack, located at the left side of the unit. Plug the other side of the power supply into a power outlet. The orange LED indicator next to the 5V DC IN jack will glow continuously while the Compact+ HD is charging. When the unit is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green. If the LED indicator flashes, there is a charging problem. In this case, disconnect the power supply and reconnect the power supply again. Charging the Compact+ HD takes approximately 3,5 hours. A fully charged Compact+ HD can operate for an average time of 3 hours, depending on the power settings. Please note that, for safety reasons, only the power supply that was delivered with the Compact+ HD can be used to charge the unit’s battery. If the Compact+ HD does not switch on, please make sure it is charged.

The Compact+ HD will automatically go into standby mode after two minutes if no button is pressed or no image change is detected. Pressing any button will wake the unit up again. Four minutes after the Compact+ HD goes into standby mode, the unit will automatically switch off. Pressing the orange button on the left side of the unit will switch it back on again. The standby time and power off time can be changed or disabled in the Compact+ HD menu. Please refer to the next chapter on how to change these settings. Battery warning When the battery charge is below 5% of its total capacity, a battery warning will be issued every minute by displaying the battery empty icon for 2 seconds and sounding a beep. When this occurs, be sure to charge your unit as soon as possible. When the battery is empty, the unit will automatically switch off. If the Compact+ HD does not switch on, please make sure it is charged.

Allows you to change the colors of the 4 high contrast modes. Allows you to reset all factory settings to default. Allows you to view or delete the taken images.

To enter the menu, press the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. Navigating the menu Use the + or – buttons to navigate between the menu items. The Mode button located to the left of the screen will activate the chosen menu item or confirm the selection. To change a selection, use the + or – buttons. To move back in the menu, press the snapshot button. Exiting the menu To exit the menu, press the snapshot button.

Select the menu option Images and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - Select the View option by using the + and – buttons to scroll through the options. Press the Mode button to confirm your choice. - Select the image you wish to view by using the + button to advance to the next image or the – button to go to the previous image. Press the Mode button to select the image. - Use the + and – buttons to increase the magnification. Press the Mode button to change the colours. - Use the snapshot button to return to video mode. Submenu Delete To delete the taken images: - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Images and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button.

Menu: Brightness This menu item allows you to adjust the brightness of the display. - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Brightness and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - Select the brightness level by using the + button to increase and the – button to decrease the brightness level. There are 5 brightness levels to choose from. The default brightness level is 5. - Press the Mode button to confirm your choice.

By default, the power off time is set to 4 minutes. These 4 minutes are activated after the default standby time of 2 minutes. To adjust the Compact+ HD power off time: - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Power and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - Select the Power off option by using the + and – buttons to scroll through the options. Press the Mode button to confirm your choice.

To adjust the standby time of the Compact+ HD: - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Power and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - Select the Standby option by using the + and – buttons to scroll through the options. Press the Mode button to confirm your choice.

Menu: Sound This menu item allows you to enable or disable the sounds (feedback tones). By default, the tones are enabled. - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Sound and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - To enable the sounds, select the value ON by using the + and – buttons. Press the Mode button to confirm your choice. Selecting OFF will disable the sounds. - Press the Mode button to confirm your choice.

to go back to the previous menu. Menu: Color The Compact+ HD supports four high contrast modes. For each of these four modes, the foreground and background colors can be selected. Three of the high contrast modes can be disabled if just one high contrast mode is required. - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Color and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - Select the high contrast mode with the + button to move up and the – button to move down in the submenu Color. Press the Mode button to confirm your choice. - To select a new high contrast color for the foreground and background, use the + button to move up and the – button to move down in the list of color combinations. Select a color combination by pressing the Mode button. - High contrast modes 2, 3 and 4 can be disabled by selecting the DISABLED value.

- Press the + and – buttons to exit the menu, or press the snapshot button to go back to the previous menu. Menu: Reset The Compact+ HD can be reset to the factory default settings. Any settings that have been adjusted, will be restored to the factory defaults. - Activate the menu by pressing the + and – buttons simultaneously for one second. - Use the + button to move up and the – button to move down within the menu. Select the menu option Reset and activate this menu by pressing the Mode button. - To restore the factory defaults, select YES by using the + and – buttons. Choosing NO will leave all settings as they were. - Press the Mode button to confirm your choice. - Press the + and – buttons to exit the menu, or press the snapshot button to go back to the previous menu.

 Do not expose the Compact+ HD to excessive heat or direct sunlight to avoid the risk of fire.  Do not remove any parts of the Compact+ HD. Contact an Optelec authorized service organisation in your area.  To avoid risk of electrical damage, keep your Compact+ HD away from fluids and chemicals.  Handle the Compact+ HD with care. Rough handling will damage the internal components.  Do not use the Compact+ HD near inadequately shielded medical devices.  Do not try to open the battery compartment or try to remove the battery.  Contact your dealer to service this equipment if necessary. Do not disassemble your unit as it will void the warranty.  Always unplug the system before cleaning. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use cleaning agents or abrasive materials as they will damage your unit. Use of the Compact+ HD other than described in this manual will exclude it from warranty conditions.

Optelec warrants the Compact+ HD, effective from the date of delivery, to be free of any defects in material and workmanship. The warranty is not transferable and does not apply to groups, multi-users and agencies. The Compact+ HD was designed for the individual purchaser to be used at home and on-the-go. Optelec reserves the right to repair or replace any purchased Compact+ HD with a similar or improved product. In no event shall Optelec or its suppliers be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages. The original user’s remedies are limited to replacement of the Compact+ HD. This warranty is valid only when serviced in the country of original purchase, and with intact seals. For additional warranty claims or service during or after warranty period, please contact your Optelec distributor. Deze handleiding geeft u een overzicht van de mogelijkheden en het gebruik van de Compact+ HD. Handgreep 7. Camera 8. LED lichtjes 9. Spiegel De Compact+ HD is correct geplaatst wanneer het scherm aan de bovenkant zit en de oranje Aan/Uit knop aan de linker kant van het scherm zit.

De Compact+ HD is ideaal om snel dingen of documenten te bekijken en heeft een inklapbare handgreep die het gevoel geeft dat u met een vergrootglas werkt. Draai de handgreep, die aan de onderzijde zit, met de klok mee om te gebruiken. U heeft nu meer controle om comfortabel te kunnen werken. Met de handgreep ingeklapt kan de Compact+ HD worden gebruikt om snel iets te bekijken. Met de handgreep uitgeklapt kan de Compact+ HD gemakkelijk worden verplaatst bij het lezen. De spiegel schoonmaken Voor een optimale beeldkwaliteit is het belangrijk om de spiegel schoon te houden. Anders kunt een wazig beeld krijgen. Met het meegeleverde reinigingsdoekje of een andere zachte doek kan de spiegel worden schoongemaakt. Let op: Gebruik geen water om de spiegel schoon te maken.

Modus Door op de modus knop links van het scherm te drukken kunt u één van de verschillende leesstanden selecteren. Door deze knop drie seconden ingedrukt te houden kunt u de objectverlichting uitschakelen. Vergroting Door de + of – knop rechts van het scherm ingedrukt te houden kunt u de vergroting verhogen of verlagen. Door deze knoppen tegelijkertijd ingedrukt te houden opent (of sluit) u het menu van de Compact+ HD. Snapshot knop Met de witte snapshot knop rechts van het scherm maakt u een tijdelijke foto van een tekst of object, waarna u deze dichter bij u ogen kunt brengen en kunt inzoomen. Een snapshop kan worden bewaard door tijdens het bekijken van het beeld, de knop twee seconden in te drukken.

De unit aan en uit zetten Om de Compact+ HD aan te kunnen zetten, dient de unit opgeladen te zijn. Als de unit is opgeladen, drukt u één seconde op de oranje aan/uit knop links op de unit. De unit start in de modus waarin deze is uitgezet. Om de unit uit te schakelen, drukt u nogmaals één seconde op de oranje knop. Wanneer u de Compact+ HD aanzet, duurt het ongeveer 3 seconden voordat het camerabeeld wordt getoond op het scherm. Aanpassen van de vergroting Om de vergrotingsinstellingen van de unit aan te passen, drukt u op de + of – knop die zich rechts van het scherm bevinden. Druk de + knop om de vergroting te verhogen of de – knop om de vergroting te verlagen. De vergroting begint bij 3 keer en kan deze worden verhoogd tot 10 keer.

Door op de modus knop links van het scherm te drukken, kunt u een keuze maken uit één van onderstaande leesstanden: Foto: voor het bekijken van kleuren foto’s of teksten Negatief: voor het lezen in hoog contrast wit op zwart Positief: voor het lezen in hoog contrast zwart op wit Hoog contrast kleurencombinatie 1 geel op blauw Hoog contrast kleurencombinatie 2 geel op zwart Door de modus knop 3 seconden ingedrukt te houden kunt u de verlichting in- of uitschakelen. Bij het veranderen van een leesstand zal de verlichting automatisch inschakelen.

De snapshot functie maakt het mogelijk om een tijdelijke foto te maken van een afbeelding of tekst. - Plaats of houd de Compact+ HD op of voor de afbeelding of tekst die u wenst te zien. - Druk op de snapshot knop (rechts op de unit) - Door de Compact+ HD dicht bij uw ogen te brengen, kunt u de afbeelding of tekst van dichtbij bekijken. - Gebruik de + of – knop om de vergroting van het getoonde beeld aan te passen in 3 vergrotingsstappen. - Druk op de modus knop om de leesstand aan te passen. - Terwijl u de snapshot bekijkt kunt u nogmaals op de snapshot knop drukken om deze in te bewaren en terug te keren naar het normale camera beeld. Met een kort piepje en een melding op het scherm krijgt u de bevestiging dat het beeld is opgeslagen. Er kunnen tot vier beelden opgeslagen worden in het geheugen. Een nieuw opgeslagen beeld zal het oudste opgeslagen beeld vervangen als het geheugen al vier beelden bevat. - Druk nogmaals op de snapshot knop om het opgeslagen beeld te verwijderen. Het is nu mogelijk om een nieuwe snapshot te maken.

De Compact+ HD opladen De Compact+ HD wordt geleverd met een adapter met netwerksnoer en 4 landspecifieke adapter opzetstukken. Er zijn opzetstukken voor EU, US, UK en AU stopcontacten. Kies het opzetstuk dat geschikt is voor uw land en koppel deze aan de adapter. Om de Compact+ op te laden dient u de adapter te koppelen met de 5V DC IN aansluiting aan de linkerzijde van de unit. Steek de andere kant van de adapter in het stopcontact. De oranje LED lamp naast de 5V DC IN aansluiting zal continu branden gedurende de tijd dat de Compact+ HD oplaadt. Wanneer de unit volledig opgeladen is, zal de LED lamp groen branden. Wanneer de LED lamp knippert betekent het dat er een probleem is met het opladen. In dit geval dient u de adapter los te koppelen en opnieuw aan te sluiten. Het opladen van de Compact+ HD duurt ongeveer 3,5 uur. Een volledig opgeladen Compact+ HD kan ongeveer 3 uur werken, afhankelijk van de stroominstellingen. In verband met uw veiligheid wijzen wij u erop dat alleen de adapter die meegeleverd is met uw Compact+ HD gebruikt mag worden voor het opladen van de unit.

De Compact+ HD zal automatisch naar de stand-by modus gaan indien er gedurende twee minuten geen knoppen zijn ingedrukt of indien er geen verandering van het beeld geweest is. Door op een willekeurige knop te drukken zal de unit weer worden ingeschakeld. Vier minuten nadat de Compact+ HD in stand-by modus is gegaan, zal deze automatisch worden uitgeschakeld. Door op de oranje aan/uit knop te drukken zal de unit weer ingeschakeld worden. De stand-by tijd en de automatisch tijd voor uitschakelen kunnen beiden worden aan- of uitgezet in het menu van de Compact+ HD. In het volgende hoofdstuk kunt u meer informatie vinden over het wijzigen van deze instellingen. Batterij waarschuwing Wanneer de capaciteit van de batterij lager dan 5% van de totale capaciteit is, zal er iedere minuut een batterij waarschuwing worden gegeven middels een batterij icoontje in het beeldscherm en een piepgeluid. Wanneer dit gebeurt, dient u de unit zo snel mogelijk op te laden. Wanneer de batterij leeg is, zal de unit automatisch worden uitgeschakeld. Controleer altijd, als de unit niet aangaat, of de batterij is opgeladen.

Let op: het menu van de Compact+ HD is in het Engels. Voor uw gemak zullen wij in deze handleiding alle menu opties vertalen naar het Nederlands. Aanpassen van de helderheid van het beeldscherm. Aanpassen van de stroominstellingen. In- of uitschakelen van het geluid. Aanpassen van de kleuren van de 4 hoogcontrast standen. Terugzetten van de standaard fabrieksinstellingen. Bekijk of verwijderen de opgeslagen shapshot beelden. Toont de batterij status en software versie.

Om het menu te activeren, drukt u tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Navigeren in het menu Gebruik de + of – knop om te navigeren tussen de verschillende menu opties. De modus knop aan de linkerkant van het beeldscherm zal de gekozen menu optie activeren of de keuze bevestigen. Gebruik de + of – knop om een keuze te wijzigen. Om terug te gaan in het menu, gebruik de snapshot knop. Het menu verlaten Om het menu te verlaten, drukt u de snapshot knop in.

Deze menukeuze toont de status van de batterij en de huidige software versie van uw unit. In deze menu optie kunt u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. - Activeer het menu door tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop te drukken gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + knop om omhoog en de – knop om omlaag te bewegen in het menu. - Kies de menu optie Information en activeer deze met de modus knop. - Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu. Menu: Images (Beelden) Dit menu bevat 2 submenu’s: - View (Bekijken): Bekijk opgeslagen beelden - Delete (Verwijderen): Verwijder opgeslagen beelden

Om opgeslagen beelden te bekijken: - Activeer het menu: druk tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + knop om omhoog en de – knop om naar beneden te gaan in het menu. Kies het menu Images en activeer deze met de modus knop. - Selecteer het View submenu (met de + en – knop kan door de opties worden gelopen). Gebruik de modus knop om de keuze te bevestigen. - Selecteer het gewenste beeld om te bekijken met de + knop (volgend beeld) of de – knop (vorige beeld). Druk op de modus knop om een beeld te kiezen. - Gebruik de + en – knoppen om de vergroting aan te passen. Druk op de modus knop om de kleuren te wijzigen. - Gebruik de snapshot knop om terug te gaan naar het camerabeeld. Submenu Delete (Verwijderen) Om beelden te verwijderen: - Activeer het menu: druk tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + knop om omhoog en de – knop om naar beneden te gaan in het menu. Kies het menu Images en activeer deze met de modus knop. - Selecteer het Delete submenu (met de + en – knop kan door

bevestigen. - Selecteer het gewenste beeld om te wissen met de + knop (volgend beeld) of de – knop (vorige beeld). Druk op de modus knop om een beeld te verwijderen - Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu. Menu: Brightness (Helderheid) Deze menukeuze geeft u de mogelijkheid om de helderheid van het beeldscherm in te stellen. - Activeer het menu door tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop te drukken gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + of – knop om respectievelijk omhoog of omlaag te navigeren binnen het menu. Kies voor de optie Helderheid en activeer uw keuze door op de modus knop te drukken. - Kies de helderheid van het beeldscherm door te drukken op de + of – knop om respectievelijk de helderheid te verhogen of verlagen. Er zijn 5 helderheidniveaus om uit kiezen. De standaard instelling is niveau 5.

Menu: Power (Stroominstellingen) Deze menukeuze bevat twee submenu’s: Power off (Uitschakelen) en Standby. Submenu Power off (Uitschakelen) Stelt de tijd in waarop de Compact+ HD automatisch uitschakelt. Standaard is deze ingesteld op 4 minuten. Deze 4 minuten worden geactiveerd na de standaard Standby tijd van 2 minuten. Dit betekent dat de unit standaard automatisch uitschakelt na 6 minuten.

Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. - Kies de tijd waarop de unit automatisch wordt uitgeschakeld door op de + of – knop te drukken om respectievelijk de tijd te verhogen of verlagen. Druk op de modus knop om uw instellingen te bevestigen. Door voor Disabled (uitschakelen) te kiezen zal de automatische uitschakeltijd worden gedeactiveerd. - Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen en het menu te verlaten. - Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu.

Kies voor de optie Power en activeer uw keuze door op de modus knop te drukken. - Kies voor het submenu Standby door middel van de + en – knop en activeer uw keuze nogmaals door op de modus knop te drukken. - Kies de tijd waarop de unit automatisch in de stand-by modus schakelt door op de + of – knop te drukken om respectievelijk de tijd te verhogen of verlagen. Druk op de modus knop om uw instellingen te bevestigen. Door voor Disabled (uitschakelen) te kiezen zal de automatische stand- by functie worden gedeactiveerd. - Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. - Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu.

Deze menukeuze geeft u de mogelijkheid om de geluiden (feedback geluiden) in- of uit te schakelen. Standaard zijn de geluiden ingeschakeld. - Activeer het menu door tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop te drukken gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + of – knop om respectievelijk omhoog of omlaag te navigeren binnen het menu. Kies voor de optie Sound en bevestig uw keuze door op de modus knop te drukken. - Om de geluiden in te schakelen, kies voor ‘ON’ door middels de + en – knop te scrollen. Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. Door ‘OFF’ te kiezen zullen de geluiden worden uitgeschakeld. - Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. - Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu.

De Compact+ HD ondersteunt vier hoogcontrast standen. Voor elk van deze vier standen kan de voorgrond en de achtergrond kleur worden ingesteld. Drie van de hoogcontrast standen kunnen worden uitgeschakeld indien er slecht één stand nodig is. - Activeer het menu door tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop te drukken gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + of – knop om respectievelijk omhoog of omlaag te navigeren binnen het menu. Kies voor de optie Color en bevestig uw keuze door op de modus knop te drukken. - Selecteer de hoog contrast stand die u in wenst te stellen door met de + en – knop in het menu te navigeren. Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. - Om een nieuwe hoogcontrast kleur in te stellen voor de voor- en achtergrond gebruikt u de + en – knop om te navigeren door de lijst met kleurcombinaties. Kies de gewenste combinatie door op de modus knop te drukken. - Hoogcontrast stand 2, 3 en 4 kunnen worden uitgeschakeld door OFF te kiezen. - Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen.

Menu: Reset (Fabrieksinstellingen) De Compact+ HD kan worden teruggezet naar de standaard fabrieksinstellingen. Alle opties die zijn aangepast worden hiermee teruggezet naar de fabrieksinstellingen. - Activeer het menu door tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop te drukken gedurende één seconde. - Gebruik de + of – knop om respectievelijk omhoog of omlaag te navigeren binnen het menu. Kies voor de optie Reset en bevestig uw keuze door op de modus knop te drukken. - Om de fabrieksinstellingen terug te zetten, kiest u ‘YES’ (Ja) door middel van de + en – knop. Door ‘NO’ (Nee) te kiezen blijven alle instellingen ongewijzigd. - Druk op de modus knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. Om het menu te verlaten, druk op de modus knop of tegelijkertijd op de + en – knop gedurende één seconde. Of druk op de snaphot knop om terug te gaan naar het vorige menu.

 Stel de Compact+ HD niet bloot aan hitte of direct zonlicht om het risico op brand te verminderen.  Verwijder geen onderdelen van de Compact+ HD. Laat reparatie en service over aan door Optelec geautoriseerd personeel of uw leverancier.  Om schade te vermijden, vermijd contact met vocht en chemicaliën of andere vloeistoffen.  Ga voorzichtig om met uw Compact+ HD. Ruw gebruik van uw unit kan beschadiging veroorzaken aan de interne componenten.  Gebruik uw Compact+ HD niet in de omgeving van medische apparatuur.  Maak het apparaat niet open en probeer niet om de batterij te verwijderen.  Neem contact op met uw leverancier voor onderhoud of reparatie. Maak het apparaat niet open, hiermee komt de garantie te vervallen.  Schakel het apparaat altijd uit en verwijder de adapter voordat u deze schoonmaakt. Gebruik een licht vochtige doek om de buitenkant te reinigen. Gebruik in geen geval oplosmiddelen, zoals alcohol of schoonmaakmiddelen. Deze kunnen het apparaat ernstige schade toebrengen. Bij gebruik van de Compact+ HD anders dan omschreven in deze handleiding vervalt het recht op garantie.

Miroir Le Compact+ HD est placé correctement devant vous lorsque l’écran est vers le haut et que le bouton orange On/Off se trouve sur le côté gauche de l’écran.

Le Compact+ HD est idéal pour visualiser rapidement les objets et les documents. Il peut être utilisé avec sa poignée ouvrable intégrée et donne ainsi l’impression qu’on utilise une loupe traditionnelle. La poignée est située sous l’appareil, vous n’avez qu’à la tourner dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’elle s’enclenche correctement pour l’utiliser. La poignée procure plus de support et de contrôle pour un confort de lecture optimal. Utilisez le Compact+ HD sans sa poignée pour visualiser rapidement un objet ou un document. Utilisez le Compact+ HD avec sa poignée pour avoir une meilleure prise et une meilleure mobilité au-dessus du texte ou du document à visualiser. Nettoyer le miroir Il est recommandé de nettoyer le miroir régulièrement pour obtenir une qualité d’image idéale. Un miroir sale altèrerait la qualité d’image. Pour nettoyer le miroir, utilisez le chiffon inclus à cet effet ou un autre chiffon doux. Note: Ne pas utiliser d’eau ou d’agent nettoyant pour nettoyer le miroir.

Le Compact+ HD comprend les boutons suivants : Mode Le bouton Mode à gauche de l’écran permet de sélectionner un mode de visualisation. Maintenir ce bouton appuyé pendant 3 secondes éteindra les lumières d’objet. Grossissement Les boutons + et – à droite de l’écran permettent d’augmenter ou de diminuer le grossissement. Appuyer sur + et – simultanément pendant une seconde permet d’accéder au menu ou de le quitter. Capture instantanée Le bouton blanc de capture instantanée situé sur le côté droit de l’écran permet de prendre une capture temporaire d’un texte ou d’une image. Ceci vous permet d’amener l’image plus près de vos yeux. Capturez l’image en maintenant ce bouton enfoncé pendant 2 secondes.

Les deux lumières d’objet sont situées à gauche et à droite de la caméra. Allumer et éteindre Vous devez charger votre Compact+ HD avant de l’allumer pour la première fois. Une fois l’appareil chargé, appuyez sur le bouton orange On/Off sur le côté gauche de l’écran pendant une seconde. L’appareil démarrera dans le dernier mode utilisé. Pour éteindre l’appareil, appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton orange et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant une seconde. Lorsque vous allumez votre Compact+ HD, celui-ci prendra environ 3 secondes avant d’afficher une image. Ajuster le grossissement Pour modifier les réglages de grossissement, appuyez sur les boutons + et – situés à droite de l’écran. Appuyez sur le bouton + pour augmenter le

Les lumières d’objet se rallument automatiquement lorsque vous changez de mode de visualisation.

Le bouton capture instantanée permet de prendre une capture temporaire d’un texte ou d’une image. - Tenez ou placez le Compact+ HD au-dessus du texte ou de l’image que vous souhaitez capturer. - Appuyez sur le bouton capture instantanée, situé sur le côté droit de l’appareil et vers le haut. - Vous pouvez ensuite approcher le Compact+ HD vers vous pour mieux voir l’image ou le texte capturé. - Appuyez sur le bouton Mode pour changer le mode de visualisation. - Utilisez les boutons de grossissement à droite de l’écran pour changer le grossissement de l’image affichée, en 3 étapes. - Pour sauvegarder l’image et revenir en mode vidéo, appuyez sur le bouton capture instantanée pendant 2 secondes. Un court bip sonore et un indicateur à l’écran confirmera que l’image a été sauvegardée. La mémoire du Compact+ HD peut conserver jusqu’à 4 images. Chaque nouvelle capture remplacera la plus vieille image en mémoire. - Appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton capture instantanée pour dégeler l’image. Vous pouvez maintenant faire une nouvelle capture d’image.

Charger le Compact+ HD Le Compact+ HD est livré avec un câble d’alimentation et quatre fiches d’alimentation pour quatre différentes régions du globe, EU, US, UK et AU. Sélectionnez la fiche d’alimentation appropriée et branchez-la au câble d’alimentation. Pour charger le Compact+ HD, branchez le câble d’alimentation à la prise d’entrée 5V DC IN, sur le côté gauche de l’appareil. Branchez l’autre bout du câble dans une prise électrique. L’indicateur lumineux orange à côté de la prise d’entrée 5V DC IN s’allumera pour indiquer que le chargement est en cours. Cette lumière deviendra verte lorsque la charge sera complétée. Une lumière clignotante indique un problème de chargement. Dans ce cas, tentez de débrancher le câble et de le rebrancher. La charge complète du Compact+ HD requiert environ 3,5 heures. Une charge complète permet d’utiliser le Compact+ HD pendant environ 3 heures, selon les réglages sélectionnés. Pour des raisons de sécurité, utilisez uniquement le câble d’alimentation fourni avec votre Compact+ HD pour charger l’appareil. Si le Compact+ HD ne s’allume pas, vérifiez qu’il est suffisamment chargé.

Le Compact+ HD se place automatiquement en mode mise en veille après deux minutes d’inactivité. Vous pouvez éveiller votre appareil en appuyant sur n’importe quel bouton. Si aucun bouton n’est appuyé, le Compact+ HD s’éteindra automatiquement quatre minutes après s’être mis en veille. Appuyez alors sur le bouton orange On/Off sur le côté gauche de l’appareil pour le rallumer. Le temps d’inactivité nécessaire à la mise en veille et à la mise hors tension automatique peut être modifié ou désactivé dans le menu du Compact+ HD. Le chapitre suivant vous expliquera comment modifier ces réglages. Avertissement de batterie faible Lorsque la batterie est chargée à moins de 5% de sa capacité, un avertissement, composé de l’icône d’une batterie et d’un bip sonore, est émis à toutes les minutes. Lorsque cet avertissement est émis, assurez-vous de charger votre appareil aussitôt que possible. Lorsque la batterie est complètement déchargée, l’appareil s’éteint automatiquement. Si le Compact+ HD ne s’allume pas, vérifiez qu’il est suffisamment chargé.

Pour revenir dans le menu, appuyez sur le bouton capture instantanée. Quitter le menu Pour quitter le menu, appuyez le bouton de capture instantanée.

Pour régler le temps nécessaire à la mise hors tension automatique : - Activez le menu en appuyant sur les boutons + et – simultanément.

Vous pouvez sortir du mode mise en veille en appuyant sur n’importe quel bouton. Le temps par défaut est de 2 minutes.

Menu: Sons Cette option de menu vous permet d’activer ou de désactiver les sons. Par défaut, les sons sont activés.

Il est possible de désactiver trois de ces modes si un seul mode est suffisant. - Activez le menu en appuyant sur les boutons + et – simultanément. - Utilisez le bouton + pour vous déplacer vers le haut et le bouton – pour vous déplacer vers le bas. Sélectionnez l’option de menu Couleur et activez ce menu en appuyant sur le bouton Mode.

Menu: Réinitialisation Le Compact+ HD peut être réinitialisé à ses réglages par défaut. Tout réglage ayant été modifié sera rétabli à son réglage par défaut. - Activez le menu en appuyant sur les boutons + et – simultanément pendant une seconde. - Utilisez le bouton + pour vous déplacer vers le haut et le bouton – pour vous déplacer vers le bas dans le menu. Sélectionnez l’option de menu Réinitialisation et activez ce menu en appuyant sur le bouton Mode.

Ne démontez pas votre appareil car ceci annulerait votre garantie.  Débranchez toujours votre appareil avant de la nettoyer. Utilisez un chiffon doux humide pour nettoyer l’extérieur. N’utilisez pas de produit nettoyant ou de matériaux abrasifs, ceux-ci endommageraient votre appareil. Une utilisation du Compact+ HD autre que celle décrite dans ce manuel annule la garantie.
