WARNING! Read all the instructions. Failing to

comply with all the instructions stated herein may result in serious injuries. STORE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WITH CARE!  Before any intervention into the convector, make sure that it is disconnected from the power supply, that the supply valve is closed and that the conductor has cooled down.  Make sure the convector is grounded.  Do not expose the convector to flammable gases.  Do not touch the exhaust section during the  The lower edge of curtains must be at least 150 mm above the convector’s grille. It should be emphasised that curtains present an obstruction to the circulation of air above the convector and decrease the flow of heated/cooled air from the convector into the residential area of the room.  The convector must not be installed directly beneath any electrical socket.  The device for separating all the poles from the supply network must be installed during the electrical installation work in accordance with the national regulations.  When working with the convector, always use  Do not remove connection diagrams and safety  Always use original spare parts.  Only a professionally trained person is allowed to install the floor convector. The operator (performing the installation, maintenance and removal) is responsible for the correct and safe installation, maintenance and removal.  Do not perform the installation, electrical connec- tions, maintenance and removal of floor convec- tors if you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medical substances.  The heat conductor has been tested at 20 bar of pressure. The maximum operating pressure of the heat conductor is 11 bar (at temperatures from 5 to 90 °C). This is also the maximum recommended operating pressure of the conve- ctor.  In order for the convector to function, it has to be correctly connected to the system of hot or cold water and connected to a 230 V, 50 Hz power supply grid.  Floor convectors are only used for heating, cool- ing, preventing condensation on glass surfaces and in special cases for the ventilation of rooms.  If a set of valves is incorporated, they must not be touched with a view to carrying the convector or lifting the heat exchanger (possible injury). TK and TKV floor convectors are devices intended for heating rooms, while TKH convectors are also convectors operate according to the principle of natural air convection and the TKV and TKH have in -built fans that use forced convection to enable stronger heating and cooling power. 1. Housing 2. Heat exchanger 3. Grille 4. Fan incorporated into the TKV, TKH 5. Connection socket (there is no connection socket if no fans are installed in the TK) 6. Condensation collection tray, built into the TKH The installation and maintenance require the following:  Observe the regulations and generally acknowledged safety at work and fire safety measures.  Observe all instructions or procedures for the installation, use and maintenance of floor con- vectors.  During installation, control, cleaning, maintenan- ce and removal, completely disconnect all the floor convector components from the power supply. APPLICATION COMPONENTS ❷ INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING convector’s operation.❶ intended for cooling as well as heating. TK floor protective gloves and protective clothing. Handle with care, lift it slowly and do not throw it.  Do not reach into the fan area with objects /hands labels from the convector. If they are not legible, ask for a replacement.  Autotransformer AT45 or AT60 and relay RV are mandatory to be mounted in the connection box of the convector with protection class min. IP55.  To one thermostat and one AT45 or AT60 max. 6 fans can be connected. 3

 In the event of peculiarities or unclear situations

regarding safe work, consult the safety engineer or any other authorized person in charge of safe- ty at work.  If the packaging of the floor converter is dam- aged, consult the manufacturer before installa- tion.  Place the floor convector to prepared flat sur- face.  The distance between convector and wall can be as low as possible, however, it should not exceed 300 mm. Condensation elimination on cold sur- faces efficiency decreases with the distance between convector and wall. Convector should be installed in such way, that air discharge should be oriented into the room (TKH conve- ctor), or into the window (other convector types).  In the event of uneven surfaces, levelling screws ❸ on the bottom of the convector, part of the standard equipment, have to be used to adjust the height. In case of false floor installation, accessory 029 is available (levelingmand sup- port legs).❹❺ Legs are mounted in special holders, in pop nut M10. The optimal convector height is achieved by regulating the leg with a screw and finally fixing it with a spanner size 15. ❻ Legs can be regulated from 10 mm do 100 mm height.❼ When the optimal convector posi- tion is achieved, it needs to be fixed with a screw through a fixing profile into the floor. When the convector is adjusted to the correct position and lined to desired height, fix it with the screw. In- stallation of thermal and noise insulation layer is recommended between the convector and con- crete. Convector can be supplied with housing thermal insulation (accessory 017 - elastalon s = 5 mm). When the housing of the floor convector is placed directly to the concrete surface, make sure that contact is distributed along complete surface of the convector, otherwise increased noise level can apply (forced convection only). In order to prevent the grille from deformation and dirt, remove it before the installation and place protection cover (accessory 018) to its place.❽ If you do not order the 018 accessory, spacers have to be inserted on the upper part of the housing❾, where the grille is later placed, which prevent the housing from deforming and which are supplied together with the converter. The cover and spacers must suit the size of the con- vector’s housing and can only be removed after the convector is ready for operation.  If required (TKH), the drain for condensation should run through the Φ16 mm connection on the bottom side of the collection tray, inside of the convector’s housing. The pipe (connection) can lead from the convector from the transversal or longitudinal side and then through the siphon into the drain. Before operation, pour water into the condensation collection tray. Make sure the water is flowing through the pipe intended for draining the condensation. The collection tray must be clean.  Control accessories on the water side (01, 02, 03, 04) are attached to the convector upon delivery and are not installed to the heat exchanger. When connecting straight valves and shut-off cocks, nut should be counter-tightened ❿. When tightening angle valves and shut-off cocks, counter-torque should be applied with threaded rod (1/2” thread)⓫. If not, attached unit can be removed from the heat exchanger, causing damage on the installation joint. It can cause water leakage in the joint. Standard valves and closing devices have an inside thread for connecting them to the heating or cooling system. It is also recommended to check the leakproofness of the installation before operati- on. Recommendation: the pipe connection between the valves on the heat conductor and the pipe distribution element should be flexible under the conductor in order to enable easier cleaning.  Before pouring concrete, it is required to fill all the holes in the housing of the floor convector by adding insulation around the convector to pre- vent the concrete entering the inside of the floor convector. The thickness of the insulation should depend on the room and the pressure around the convector. Insulation also prevents the heat- ing and drying of the finishing layer of floor (parquet etc.).  When applying concrete to the space around the convector, consider height difference for the final layer (carpet, laminate floor, ...).  Remove the cover and spacers and put the grille on the housing .  The air flow through the converter depends on the convector’s rotations per minute; these are controlled with a room thermostat with a three- level or continuous speed switch. The thermostat must be fitted exposed in the room where the floor convector has been installed at the same height as other switches (approx. 1.5 m above the floor where there is no impact from the sun or other heating or cooling devices). The connec- tor is connected to the thermostat according to 4

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTUP

AND OPERATION the suitable connection diagram that you receive in the catalogue or that is supplied together with the product. In the event of any ambiguity, call the phone number stated above.  Make sure the convector interior is clean and dry.  De-aerate the connected heat exchanger and inspect the piping connections for any leakage.  Connection to electric mains shall be carried out by a qualified person.  Check the operation of ventilation fan at all speeds.  In case of a convector controlled by a room ther- mostat, set the desired temperature.  The grille is dimensioned for normal loading, i.e. human weight. If higher loads (car drive) are anticipated, the convector shall be fitted with an additional “bridge”.  During the operation, upper part of the convector (grille) shall not be covered due to possible over- heating. Make sure that air flow is not disturbed.  Check the condensate elimination piping for any leakage (TKH).  If fresh air is supplied to the device, its tempera- ture should not be lower than 5 °C.  When connecting the piping, make sure not to damage soldered joints on the water heat ex- changer connections.  When connecting floor convectors in permanent installation, a device to separate all phases from the mains shall be provided, with the open con- tact clearance of 3 mm.  Any intervention beyond the standard connection is considered an intervention into the device and shall only be attempted with prior approval by the manufacturer.  In case that water, not caused by condensation enters into forced ventilation floor convector, power supply shall be switched off.  Into very humid areas such as bathrooms, toilets, swimming pools should be installed special ver- sions for humid spaces (TK-S, TKV-S). Before any intervention, cleaning or maintenance, make sure that the device is disconnected from the power supply, that the supply valve is closed and that the conductor has cooled.  Grilles: clean by means of a damp cloth and the detergent, vapor, ...  The internals of the floor convector: periodically clean with a vacuum cleaner (length of the clean- ing interval depends on dust density - amount of dirt in the room). If the inside is very dirty, the heat conductor should be lifted, if this is possible for the flexible installation of the conductor, the inside should be cleaned and the heat conductor should be cleaned with a high pressure cleaning device (performed by an authorized servicing service). Make sure, that condensate elimination hose is clean, otherwise it can cause flowing of water over the collection tray.  Fan: the input-output parts of the fan must be free and clean.  Heat conductor: the surface of the conductor must be clean so that air can flow through. It is prohibited to throw any objects, liquids or waste into the convector.  Spare parts: When ordering spare parts, indicate the model and description of the convector. It is also recommended to indicate the convector’s serial number. The builder’s plate is located on the side of the convector, near the valves and power connection. The fan does not work or is not rotating properly:  Check if the wires are connected in accordance with the connection diagram.  Check whether the unit has a power supply.  Check if the fan is clean and that there are no objects on the fan that would prevent it rotating. The convector does not heat or cool:  Check whether the flow of water is enabled, whether the valves are open and ventilate the conductor.  Check whether the water supply is completely in order (if it is warm/cold enough).
