Periodic Maintenance Procedures Rear (Parking) Brake Lever and Pedal Free Play Adjustment • Loosen the locknut [A] and turn in the adjuster [B] at the rear brake (parking) lever as far as it will go. • Turn in or out the adjuster [A] at the rear end of the brake cable so that the brake pedal will have 25 ∼35 mm (1.0 ∼ 1.4 in.) of free play before the brake starts to take hold. • Turn out the adjuster at the rear brake lever until brake lever has 2 ∼3 mm (0.08 ∼0.12 in.) of free play.
