6 Don’t Forget Your Backup With the transition of the HBO and Cinemax services to MPEG-4 HD only distribution it’s important to consider your backup options. Any receivers you have been using to receive these services will no longer be functional as either primary or backup units for the MPEG-4 services. The only viable receivers to use as shelf-spares for backing up the MPEG-4 services is the DSR-7403 (12 services) or DSR-7403 (3 services) transcoders. ARRIS’s distributors have available inventory of both the DSR-7403 and DSR-7403 transcoders. You are encouraged to contact one of the distributors listed below to purchase a shelf-spare to guarantee sustained and uninterrupted delivery of the HBO and Cinemax services to your subscriber base.
