For additional protection, we advise you to install a
residual current device (RCD) in the electrical circuit
that supplies the bathroom. This RCD must have a
rated residual operating current not higher than
30mA. Ask your installer for advice.
The straightening plates and the plastic parts near

Using the appliance
Straightening your hair
Straighteners are powerful styling tools and must always
be used with care.
As with all straighteners that reach salon-high
temperatures, do not use the appliance frequently to
avoid damage to the hair. If you use the straightener
incorrectly, you could overheat your hair or even burn
it. Always make sure you select a temperature that is
suitable for your hair type.
1 Put the plug in the wall socket.
2 Press the on/off button.
Slide the closing lock down to unlock the appliance
if it is locked.
The default temperature setting of 120 appears on
the display. As soon as the appliance has heated up
to this setting, the word ‘READY’ appears on the
display (Fig. 2).
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged
in. Never put the appliance on a surface that is not heat-
resistant when it is heating up and when it is hot.
Tip: If you lock the plates with the closing lock, the
straightener heats up more quickly.
3 Select a temperature setting that is suitable for
your hair type (Fig. 3).
Always select a low temperature setting when
you use the straightener for the first time.
For coarse, curly or hard-to-straighten hair, select a
medium to high setting (170 and up).
For fine, medium-textured or softly waved hair, select
a medium to low setting (160 and down).
Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or colour-
treated hair, since it is susceptible to damage at high
temperatures.
4 To set the temperature, press the + button to
increase the temperature setting or press the -
button to decrease the temperature setting (Fig. 4).
The display shows the selected temperature setting.
When the appliance has heated up to the selected
setting, the word ‘READY’ appears on the display.
The bars on the display show the remaining
usage time of the appliance. The total usage time
is 60 minutes. Every ten minutes one of the six
bars disappears. After 60 minutes, the appliance
switches off automatically.
5 Comb or brush your hair so that it is disentangled
and smooth. (Fig. 5)
6 Use a comb to divide the hair into sections. Do not
put too much hair in one section.
Tip: It is better to section off the crown area and to
straighten the hair underneath first, followed by the top area.
7 Take a section that is not wider than 5cm. Place
it between the straightening plates and press the
handles of the appliance together.
8 Slide the straightener down the length of the hair,
from root to hair end, without stopping to prevent
overheating (Fig. 6).

Cuidado
Para obter proteção adicional, recomendamos
instalar um dispositivo de corrente residual (RCD)
no circuito elétrico do banheiro. O RCD deve
a 30 mA. Peça informações ao instalador profissional.
As placas alisadoras e as peças plásticas próximas às
placas atingem altas temperaturas rapidamente. Evite

desempenho do aparelho.
aquecimento. A temperatura real durante o uso
pode ser mais baixa.

relacionados a campos eletromagnéticos.
manual do usuário, a utilização do aparelho é segura
baseando-se em evidências científicas atualmente
disponíveis.
Utilização do aparelho
Alisamento
destravar o aparelho, caso esteja travado.
O ajuste de temperatura padrão de 120 aparece no
visor. Quando a temperatura do aparelho chegar a
esse valor, a palavra ‘READY’ (PRONTO PARA USO)
será exibida no visor (fig. 2).
Nunca deixe o aparelho ligado sem vigilância. Sempre
O visor mostra o ajuste de temperatura
selecionado.
Quando a temperatura do aparelho chegar ao
ajuste selecionado, a palavra ‘READY’ será exibida
no visor.
As barras no visor mostram o tempo de utilização
restante do aparelho. O tempo de uso total é
de 60 minutos. A cada dez minutos uma das seis
barras desaparece. Após 60 minutos, o aparelho é
desligado automaticamente.
(fig. 5)

aparelho.
evitar o superaquecimento (fig. 6).
9 Repita o procedimento após 20 segundos até
atingir o visual desejado.
10 Aguarde os cabelos esfriarem. Não penteie-os nem
escove-os antes disso, pois poderá desmanchar o
penteado que você acabou de criar.
Limpeza
1 Verifique se o aparelho está desligado e
desconectado.
2 Deixe o aparelho esfriar completamente em uma
superfície resistente ao calor.
3 Limpe o aparelho com um pano úmido.
Para guardar a aparelho
Nunca enrole o fio em volta do aparelho.
1 Verifique se o aparelho está desligado e
desconectado.
2 Deixe o aparelho esfriar em uma superfície
resistente ao calor antes de guardá-lo.
3 Use a trava de fechamento para travar as placas
alisadoras juntas antes de guardar o aparelho.
Meio ambiente
você ajuda a preservar o meio ambiente (fig. 7).
