Use a spatula to remove excess food. •• To get the best results, make sure the bowl is not more than half filled. •• Cook for approx. 20 minutes, drain the potatoes and put them in a bowl. •• You can enhance the flavor by adding salt or butter. •• Add milk little by little and continue until you have achieved the desired result. 8 Cleaning (Fig.7) Do not immerse the motor unit, the whisk coupling (HR1601 and HR1603), the mini chopper lid (HR1602 and HR1603) or the coupling unit of the potato masher (HR1609) in water. Always detach the accessories from the motor unit before you clean them. Caution •• Unplug the appliance before you clean it or release any accessory. •• You can also remove the rubber rings from the chopper bowls for extra thorough cleaning. •• For quick cleaning, pour warm water with some washing-up liquid in the beaker, insert the blender bar or potato masher and let the appliance operate for approximate 10 seconds. 9 Storage 1 Wind the power cord round the heel of the appliance. 2 Put the blender bar, whisk and blade unit in the beaker. 3 Store the appliance in a dry place away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat. 10 Accessories You can order a direct-driven mini chopper (under service code number 4203 035 83450) from your Philips dealer or a Philips service centre as an extra accessory for the HR1600, HR1601, HR1602, HR1603 and HR1609.
