Page 1 Audi S6, Audi S6 Avant Quick reference guide Dear Audi Driver, The aim of this quick reference guide is to introduce you to the main features and controls of your vehicle. This quick reference guide cannot replace the information contained in the Owner's Manual; it is therefore important that you also read the notes and warnings in the Owner's Manual. We wish you safe and enjoyable motoring with your Audi. AUDI AG The central locking system locks and unlocks all the doors, the tailgate and the tank flap. It can be operated with the remote control or by turning the key in the lock. Operating the radio- activated remote control Press the appropriate button for about 1 second. 1 Unlocking button Open one of the doors or the boot lid within about 60 sec- onds, otherwise the vehicle will lock itself again automatically. 2 Unlocking button for tailgate Press the button for at least 1 second. 3 Locking button The turn signals flash once to confirm that the doors and tailgate/boot lid are properly closed. 4 Folding out the master key Press the release button. Folding away the master key Press the button and fold the key away. Note: Press and hold unlocking button on remote control (or turn and hold key in lock on driver’s door) to open all the windows. Press and hold locking button on remote control (or turn and hold key in lock on driver’s door) to close all the windows and the sun roof. Warning: The doors and win- dows cannot be opened from inside the vehicle if it has been locked from the outside. Anti-theft alarm The alarm system is automati- cally set when the car is locked. The alarm system is switched off automatically when you unlock the vehicle with the remote con- trol. Note: If you unlock the vehicle by inserting the key in the driver’s door, the ignition must be switched on within 15 sec- onds, otherwise the alarm will be triggered. If you unlock the tailgate by turning the key in the slot, the alarm will be triggered immediately. Locking and unlocking the vehicle Sun roof 7 Adjusting seat height and moving seat backwards or forwards Press the switch in the appro- priate direction: Raises/lowers the seat at the front Raises/lowers the seat at the rear Raises/lowers the whole seat Moves seat forward/back Adjusting height of front seat belts Slide the guide up or down. Tug the belt to check that the catch is engaged pro- perly. Comfort setting Turn the control until it engages at position 2. To tilt open Press the control briefly at posi- tion 0 to tilt the roof all the way up. Pull the control briefly to close. Press and hold the control to move the roof up to an inter- mediate position. Pull and hold the control to move the roof down. Opening and closing Turn the control to 1 to slide open the sun roof and turn it to 0 to close it (the ignition must be switched on). Adjusting front seats Enlarged view (High-comfort seats) Adjusting head restraints Take hold of the sides of the head restraint with both hands and move it up as required. „Recaro“ sports seats 1 Adjusting angle of backrest Press the switch in the appro- priate direction: Backrest further upright/ further reclined 2 Adjusting seat height and moving seat back- wards or forwards Press the switch in the appro- priate direction: Raises/lowers the seat at the rear Moves seat forward/back 3 Adjusting lumbar support Press front or rear of switch to increase or decrease thickness of padding in backrest: Increases/decreases padding 4 Adjusting seat cushion Lift seat cushion up and forwards to extend; push back to shorten. High-comfort seats 5 Adjusting lumbar support (Ergomatic) Press the appropriate part of the adjuster control to move the lumbar support to the desired position. 6 Adjusting angle of backrest Press the switch in the appro- priate direction: Backrest further upright/ further reclined

Page 1 Audi S6/S6 Avant Quick reference guide 5 1 Locking and unlocking the vehicle Anti-theft alarm The alarm system is automatically set when you lock the car, and switched off when you unlock the car with the remote control. If you unlock the vehicle by inserting the key in the driver’s door, the ignition must be switched on within 15 seconds, otherwise the alarm will be triggered. If you unlock the boot lid (only on saloon with lock cylinder) by turning the key in the slot, the alarm will be triggered immediately. WARNING! The doors and windows cannot be opened from in- side the vehicle if it has been locked from the outside. Opening boot lid/tailgate If you p press the button on the remote control key, p or pull the button on the driver’s door, p or press the catch on the boot lid/tailgate, this will unlock the boot lid/tailgate. The boot lid/ tailgate will spring open slightly. Closing the tailgate (only on Avant) Press the close button inside the open tailgate. 1 4 2 3 Locking and unlocking the vehicle Remote control keys Press the required button. e Unlocking button: Open one of the doors within about 60 seconds, otherwise the vehicle will lock itself again automatically. r Unlocking button for boot lid/tailgate: Press the button for at least 1 second. t Locking button: The turn signals flash once to confirm that the doors and boot lid/tailgate are properly closed and locked. u Folding out the master key: Press the release button. We wish you safe and enjoyable motoring with your Audi. AUDI AG advanced key advanced key allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle and start the engine without handling the key itself. You only need to have the remote control key on your person. Unlocking the vehicle Take hold of one of the door handles or press the release catch on the boot lid/tailgate. The door (or the boot lid/ tailgate) will be unlocked automatically. Note: The driver's door will be unlocked as well when one of the other doors is unlocked. Locking the vehicle Press the exterior locking switch i on one of the door handles. Note: If you press and hold the exterior locking switch i, this will also close the windows and the sun roof.
