Aircraft Cable Power Cords Caddy Clip Starter GridBox™ Canopy Secure To Structure (by others) Step 2 Install GridBox™ and caddy clip onto ceiling grid, then canopies and aircraft cable assemblies. Align aircraft cables to grippers and insert on both ends of the luminaire. Adjust pendant to proper height and level. Press down on top of gripper to release locking mechanism if needed. Secure luminaire to structure using tie-wire (by others) according to code. Step 3 Install power cable through canopy and into GridBox. Make electrical connections in GridBox. Power Cords Gripper Feed Hole Starter Safety Stop Step 4 Slide safety stop and safety crimp up to the aircraft cable within 9" of cable gripper. Trim excess cable and insert safety bar assembly through feed hole. Bottom Diffuser Joiner/Ender Top Glow™ Diffuser Step 5 Remove diffusers from joiner/ender and set aside to prevent it from getting dirty or damaged. Yoke Brackets x2 (provided) Joint Sleeve #10-32 x 5/8" Screws x2 (provided) Joiner/Ender Starter Step 11 IMPORTANT STEP: Secure joint with two yoke brackets (provided) using #10-32 x 5/8" screws (provided). CAUTION: When installed correctly these brackets will pull luminaires together to make a tight joint. Do not over-tighten. Power Cords Gripper Feed Hole Joiner Safety Stop Step 7 Slide safety stop and safety crimp up to the aircraft cable within 9" of cable gripper. Trim excess cable and insert safety bar assembly through feed hole. Starter Inner Joiner Sleeve Aircraft Cable Joiner/Ender Joiner Sleeve Step 8 Align starter and joiner/ender, then slide luminaires together. Remove back plate clips (provided) to release back plates. We recommend using a flat head screwdriver to get them loose. CAUTION: Do not lose these pieces. Joiner/Ender Starter Double Diffuser (pre-installed) Step 9 Back Plate Clip Back Plate Joiner/Ender Starter Step 10 Pivot Point Slowly swing down back plates. CAUTION: Do not twist back plate when swinging down – it will come out of the support extrusion. Note that the screw shown is the pivot point and the back plate can be slid a few inches either way for ease of access to the driver space. Reinstall diffusers and turn power on to luminaire. Replace back plates by holding them in their original position and pushing the clips back in. Make sure wire connections are not pinched. GridBox™ Aircraft Cable Power Cable Canopy Caddy Clip Secure to Structure (by others) Step 2 Install GridBox™ and caddy clip onto ceiling grid, then canopies and aircraft cable assemblies. A. Align aircraft cables to grippers and insert on both ends of the luminaire. Adjust pendant to proper height and level. Press down on top of gripper to release locking mechanism if needed. Secure luminaire to structure using tie-wire (by others) according to code. B. End plates are adjustable for custom mounting locations. Remove #8-18 x 1/4" screw (provided) from end plate, then slide end plate to desired location and reinstall #8-18 x 1/4" screw. Step 4 Slide safety stop and safety crimp up to the aircraft cable within 9" of cable gripper. Trim excess cable and insert safety bar assembly through feed hole. Turn power on to luminaire. Ensure that wall bracket cover is away from the ends of the arm. Pass electrical wire through the channel of the arm assembly. Install #10-32 x 5/8" screws (provided) to secure arm attachment assembly onto housing bracket. Level wall bracket to ensure proper mounting. Install screws or fasteners (by others) appropriate for structure type through bracket and into structurally secured blocking. A. Add 3/4" to body/row length (A), +/- 1/16" to simplify installation. Luminaire needs to be installed next to support blocking. Step 2 Ceiling Corner Joiner 1/4"-20 Threaded Rod Hole Wall Insert corner joiner luminaire into wall rough opening. Use proper support blocking (by others). Make sure spackle flange is flush with ceiling T-Bar. Remove back plate clips (provided) to release back plates. We recommend using a flat head screwdriver to get them loose. CAUTION: Do not twist back plate when swinging down - it will come out of the support extrusion. Remove Diffuser or Louver Backplate Backplate Flathead Screwdriver Clip Backplate • Carefully rotate backplate out and let it hang from luminaire body.
