In this document, we are using GXW4104 as an example. The following methodology can be used for the GXW4108 as well. This is typically applied to the scenario where users would like to add a GXW410X not only as a remote extension but also as an external PSTN trunk. There are two ways to set up the UCM6XXX series IP PBX with the GXW410X. • Method 1: Configure GXW410X as a SIP Peer Trunk. • Method 2: Register GXW410X on the UCM6XXX directly as an extension. Note: UCM6XXX series include UCM6100 series (UCM6102, UCM6104, UCM6108 and UCM6116), UCM6200 series (UCM6202, UCM6204 and UCM6208) and UCM6510. Warning: 1. When the UCM6XXX series is interconnected with other GXW410X, it is NOT recommended to turn on "Allow Guest Calls" under the UCM6XXX web GUI->PBX->SIP Settings->General. Turning on this option will allow unauthenticated calls coming through the UCM6XXX series. Please be aware of the security concerns when using this option. 2. When using the IVR in UCM6XXX series, please be aware that if "Dial Trunk" option is turned on in IVR settings, the call into the IVR will be able to dial outbound call using UCM6XXX's trunk. The IVR's permission level will be used when making outbound calls in this case. Please select proper permission level for the IVR to control the outbound calls allowed via "Dial Trunk".

When trying to reach an extension which is already busy, the caller could request the UCM6XXX to camp on the called party by dialing the call completion request code. Then the UCM6XXX will give a call to the caller as soon as the called party becomes available. By answering the call from UCM6XXX, a call from the caller to the called party will be initiated automatically by the UCM6XXX to complete the call. The call completion can be configured for individual extensions as well as SIP register/peer trunks. • When call completion is configured for individual extensions, the specific extension will get notified to complete the call when the called extension is available. • When call completion is configured for SIP register/peer trunks, any extension in one UCM6XXX will get notified to complete the call when the called extension in the peer UCM6XXX is available if the extension has call completion configured too. This document describes how to configure call completion for the above two applications.

This call center feature can be used to help supervisors/managers to take a more hands-on role in quality assurance practices and coaching of their agents on how to deal with customers during an active call, to improve customers service quality. UCM6xxx series support 3 different call barging modes to better respond to customers’ expectation: • Listen Spy: Allows the extension monitoring the call to hear both parties in the active call but the audio of the user on this extension will not be heard by either party. This can be usually used to supervise calls. • Whisper Spy: Allows the extension monitoring the call to hear both parties in the active call. The user on this extension can only talk to the selected monitored extension and he/she will not be heard by the other party in the active call. This can be usually used to assist an agent during the call. • Barge Spy: The extension monitoring the call can talk to both parties in the active call. The call will be established similar to three-way conference. Call barging feature can be activated using feature codes from a registered phone or using “Call Monitor” from UCM6xxx web interface. This guide describes needed steps to use the call barging feature using the two methods mentioned previously.
